Haven't had mussels for a while so decided to go to Frites because they serve Belgian fare.
The restaurant setting is like a large communal hall with long tables and benches.

Mussels are a must order so got the Laksa mussels and a few other items.

GRILLED LAMB RIBS $145
The lamb ribs was a good decision because not many places serve lamb ribs and they were soft and crispy with a lovely taste.

Laksa mussel pot:
coconut cream, lemongrass and kaffir lime in an aromatic curry sauce
The mussels were good as expected with a rich curry taste.

FLEMISH BEEF STEW $335
leffe brune braised usda short rib, horseradish cream mashed potato
The beef stew was hearty and filling while the mashed potato was very buttery and creamy.

I love cheese and ham toast so ordered this as well which was very strong and cheesy because they used Gruyere cheese.


Finished with the pina colada which was very strong in alcohol content!

Went to SK deliberately to try these Guangdong delights, some restaurants say it's from Kaiping, some say its from Chaoshan and some from Toishan.
Anyway, I am not familiar with cuisine from China but I just like trying different things.
Portions are big so unfortunately I couldn't try the steamed rice vermicelli which is also available at 食好啲

Anyway, I tried the vegetable tea (Hakka thunder tea) which was loaded with vegetables, glass vermicelli, squid and it was a delicious savoury soup concoction topped with crispy puffed rice.

I really liked the soup but perhaps I am not fond of meat hence I didn't like the preserved sausages in it.
Then I had the ricerolls which were silky complimented by their homemade chili sauce which was quite hot.

The egg in the riceroll tasted surprisingly good because it was quite eggy.

Also tried some meatballs which are handmade, hence the irregular shape.

I think this is the best Frappe from Starbucks because I love Earl Grey and the jelly at the bottom is divine.
The Earl Grey balances the grassiness of the green tea and the cream on top had a lovely vanilla taste.

Discovered this place after dining at this Indian place in the same building.
The salad was light and healthy with my favourite spinach leaves and cheese.
The vegetable soup was packed with vegetables and quite sweet in taste.

The roast chicken was a bit different to what I had in mind but it tasted ok but a bit stiff with super milky risotto beneath it.

Finished with the tiramisu which was light and pleasing.

I just love eclairs filled with fresh cream but this one has been jazzed up with orange and chocolate.
It was a little bit sweet but I loved the tartness of the orange in the orange infused cream.
If only the icing was dark chocolate and orange instead of white chocolate, I would have liked it more.

The best thing about this place is that all the dishes have been designed by a nutritionist and on the menu it clearly lists out the calories and carbs information so gym and body building fanatics can eat with a peace in mind.
Tried the bolognaise with brown rice and onsen egg, the taste was fantastic.
The Roasted Chicken Salad with Lemon Garlic (added hard boiled egg + avocado) is a good source of proteins.

For drinks I had the Berry Happy which was a cooling smoothie that was not too sweet with a good balance of banana and berries.

Discovered Full of Congee because I was in the TKW area so tried it.
The food was delicious so decided to again at this new branch in Whampoa because it is close to the MTR.
Tried the rice rolls and noodles.
The noodles are different to the ones you get in other joints because there is a strong garlic taste with crisp garlic pieces in it.
The riceroll at this joint was not as good as the one in TKW because it was too soft but it was good they separated the soy sauce for me so that it didn't go softer.
Again, it depends if you like garlic because the their soy sauce has a strong garlic taste while the chili sauce they have is really appetizing because it is spicy with a tinge of sour aftertaste.
