I didn't know what to expect here but I am always trying out SingMalay foods.
When I arrived, it just instantly looked like Pret x mangxr with soups, noodles, wraps, salads, desserts etc but Asian flavours like Rendang beef, Vietnamese salad etc.
If you eat there it feels so Hong Kong as there are so many red taxis going along that road.
I decided to get THE PENANG noodle because you get the fun of adding hot water to it like a pot noodle since there is a soup paste at the bottom which dissolves into a broth.


The hot Prawn Popiah wrap was filled with prawns, Taiwanese sausage, tofu, jicama, carrot, beansprouts and Hawkr's special Popiah sauce. I really liked it because it was crammed with so much stuff.


My friend had the Javanese Beef Rendang which was very aromatic as there was fresh turmeric and galangal taste to the beef.

For dessert finished with the pudding which contains sabja seeds at the bottom.
I liked it more than chia seeds because it does not irritate your throat and it was not too sweet.

This was my first visit to Locofama and the food I had was slightly different to the usual items they serve because it was a Saturday BBQ with free flow of organic prosecco and food by guest chef Andrew Mast.
The ribs were impressive because they were moist, came off the bone easily and they tasted like Roast Hog in London.
I really regret not pulling the meat off the ribs and putting it in a bun like the roast hog sandwich in London!~!~!
The chicken had a strong lemongrass taste.
There was also bacon and potato salad, beans and meat buns.

I was still hungry so decided to get something and ended up getting these pancakes with fillings.
They felt really soft inside the packaging which made them convincing to buy.
I expected the custard to taste better but it was horrible because the taste was too sugary.
However the chocolate one turned out to be delicious since it was not as sweet and the chocolate flavour was strong.

Souffle pancakes are trending in Hong Kong, but my first souffle pancake was at K11 but unfortunately I was given an extra strand of hair and the taste was too buttery for my liking.There is another popular one in MK called I love you Dessert Bar but the location is inconvenient, as well as that, there is a latecomer am.pm which does affordable souffle pancakes.

Anyway, decided to try FLIPPER's because it is on the HK side and celebrities go there.

Went early because I didn't want to queue and it wasn't busy as expected.
Compared to all the other places, this one is the priciest but you get decent cream.
Decided to get the melon because I like melon and it does not have syrup like the strawberry and banana versions.

It turned out to be really good because there was no buttery taste and it was light and fluffy, whereas other places, the texture is just like foam and it disappears into nothing.
The best part is the cream because it is thick creamy cream and the melon was super sweet as well.
I was reminded by the staff not to use a knife to cut the souffle pancake as it ruins it.

I love cherries so got the cherry cake slice and cherry pudding.
The cake was really good because there was tart cherry puree in the middle and nice cream.

The cherry pudding was too sweet for my liking and the cream for this was a bit artificial.

I love Indian food but not many places on the HK side offers vegetarian food.At Haveli they have my favourite Idi and Vada so I got the platter which has both of them and the dosa.
The Idi and Vada was as good as anticipated because I like starchy tastes.

My next favourite was the Tandoori mushrooms which had strong flavours and they used quality button mushrooms which were juicy.

For mains I had the paneer bhurji and lemon rice.
Both were satisfying because I just love bhurji.

I was checking out the new YATA supermarket and discovered this cake shop.

If I remember correctly they used to have a shop at the basement of Metro City but the cakes are so much more trendy and prettier now.

There is a huge selection of Belgian icecreams and chocolate truffles.




Anyway, I decided to get the mint chocolate icecream.

It was loaded with chocolate pieces and the mint was very comforting because it tastes like the icecream you get in UK.
