LCK was so boring before but after D2 opened there are so many new hip eateries.
Ootoya is not new but I went there because I love their Japanese food.
The food is authentic as lots of Japanese people dine there and the Chefs are Japanese.
The only difficulty I have is the menu, it is quite difficult to comprehend and it is in a similar format to Coco Ichibanya so I wonder if they belong to the same group.
I ordered the hijiki seaweed rice with an appetizer containing all the slimy stuff like moutain yam, natto beans, egg yolk, okra and tofu.
It doesnt have much taste but I find it comforting like baby food.
Adding soy sauce improves the taste.

Tried the truffle cookie and the cranberry fruit tea.
The truffle was a bit strange because of the savoury and sweet flavour but it is beautifully dusted with gold dust contrasted by the black colour.

The cranberry fruit tea fared nicer because of the cranberry pieces which gave it a some chew and sweetness.

This branch of KeeWah is very memorable because it is inside the HK airport departure zone.
As I was heading to the the food court, I saw Eric Tsang (曾志偉) with some females coming out of KEE WAH with a big grin on his face!
Anyway, I got these puff sticks which are all damn delicious.
There are four flavours: Cheese, Chinese Ham, Pumpkin and sesame seed and the Garlic spices.
To summarize, they all have this light crispy flaky texture and the buttery taste is not too overwhelming but the toppings are amazing.
The best flavour is the cheese because it is really cheesy, the next best is the ham because it is nice and savoury.
The garlic spices was good too but I found it quite spicy while the pumpkin seeds surprised me because I thought it was going to be bland but it wasn't.

Went here to get my usual baguette and my eyes were drawn to these purple buns.
Basically it was a Chinese style Mexican bun filled with purple sweet potato.
The filling was too sweet but I liked the crispy top which was slightly salty.
It would be great if they didn't add sugar to the filling because the topping is tasty enough.

So glad this ramen joint finally opened.
Had the spicy chicken ramen which was spicier than anticipated so I will stick to pork bone broth next time.

It was quite salty so I was quite thirsty after eating the noodles.

I didn't know what to expect here but I am always trying out SingMalay foods.
When I arrived, it just instantly looked like Pret x mangxr with soups, noodles, wraps, salads, desserts etc but Asian flavours like Rendang beef, Vietnamese salad etc.
If you eat there it feels so Hong Kong as there are so many red taxis going along that road.
I decided to get THE PENANG noodle because you get the fun of adding hot water to it like a pot noodle since there is a soup paste at the bottom which dissolves into a broth.
The hot Prawn Popiah wrap was filled with prawns, Taiwanese sausage, tofu, jicama, carrot, beansprouts and Hawkr's special Popiah sauce. I really liked it because it was crammed with so much stuff.
My friend had the Javanese Beef Rendang which was very aromatic as there was fresh turmeric and galangal taste to the beef.
For dessert finished with the pudding which contains sabja seeds at the bottom.
I liked it more than chia seeds because it does not irritate your throat and it was not too sweet.

This was my first visit to Locofama and the food I had was slightly different to the usual items they serve because it was a Saturday BBQ with free flow of organic prosecco and food by guest chef Andrew Mast.
The ribs were impressive because they were moist, came off the bone easily and they tasted like Roast Hog in London.
I really regret not pulling the meat off the ribs and putting it in a bun like the roast hog sandwich in London!~!~!
The chicken had a strong lemongrass taste.
There was also bacon and potato salad, beans and meat buns.
