The salted chicken is consistently good here, by that I mean it doesn't stink or the texture of the chicken is relatively good.
As for the meat, you get mainly bones and fat unless you ask for white meat which still tastes good.
The sauce that is given is aromatic but personally I don't use it because the chicken tastes good without and it has a strong aniseed taste in the sauce.
The organs were a waste or I got them when they were not that fresh because they were hard and dry.

For crab lovers, they are going to like this buffet because they have lots of crab related dishes.
My favourite was the typhoon shelter noodles which are aromatic topped with crispy garlic and black bean bits.Each strand is evenly flavoured.

It was good they had congee because I felt like having congee, you can have it with seafood but I had mine plain because it was tasty on its own.


They had marinated delights as well.

Save room for dessert because they have silky tofu, icecream, fried icecream etc but I liked the automatic pancake maker the most.


It slides out warm and soft pancakes.

I am so glad there is popup here.
It was a hot day so I got the Earl Grey tea icecream topped with chouguettes.
The chouguettes are light and airy coated in coarse sugar which paired well with the Earl Grey gelato that was not too sweet.
It had a really aromatic Earl Grey flavour and a creamy taste.

I can't remember what tea set I ordered but the crispy bun came with condensed milk and peanut butter which I didn't use.
HK style tea also came with it too which I don't drink so I mixed the peanut butter into the tea and surprisingly, it made the tea quite palatable!
The creaminess and sweetness of the peanut butter and condensed milk made it less bitter and disguised the HK tea taste a bit!!

I tried the white creamy curry beef udon at Waki Shokudo because it looked intriguing in presentation. It looks like a bowl of whipped cream with curry udon underneath.
The taste wasn't bad but the stuff that looked like cream tasted like Instant mashed potato mixed with cream but the creamy taste isn't there while the texture was definitely like lightly whipped cream and mousse like mashed potato.
It was worth trying but a bit too spicy.Also had the flounder fish skirt salad which was really refreshing with lots of truffle.
There was a really good combo for $58 where you get fries, wings and softserve.
The fries were a bit sweet and the wings are served cold.
My friends had the eel rolls with cheese, seared don and prawn done in three ways.

This place has been around since 2013 so it must be good.It was amongst all those chicken pots restaurants that opened in the 2013 craze.
The only unfortunate thing is the access to the restaurant because there are long queues for the lift during peak hours.

The restaurant is big, with lots of long tables in the middle suitable for large groups which is a must in the MK area.
There is a wide drinks selection including beer, Chinese herbal drinks and now there is water as well which wasn't previously available in 2013.
For people who have not tried chicken pot before they have clear instructions on how to eat it.
Basically you eat the chicken from the pot, then when it is nearly empty, you add items such as cows stomach, fish maw and squid in the pot.
After that you add broth and start eating it like a normal hot pot.
I was hooked immediately when I started the chicken, it was so tasty with lots of spices and sichuan peppercorn.

The fish skin are a must order because they are tasty and don't have any rancid taste.

The chicken testis are unexpectedly big and taste like doversole fish roe.

Also had the pork blood jelly which were so so.

Decided to make a donburi with the crab paste that I got from the foodexpo so sashimi was needed.SUSHI TAKE OUT was the cheapest place for it.
As well as sushi, they had cheap coffee for $10 and carbonated spring water for $4.

There was a new vegetarian sushi so I got that as well which tasted sweet with a texture like chewy tofu skin.

The sashimi was relatively fresh but the sweet shrimp didn't come off the shell easily so it was a bit of a waste.
The salmon lacked flavour but you can't expect much for that price but you can jazz it up with wasabi and soy sauce.
It appears that this is the only branch where you can dine in to my knowledge but more will probably popup soon.
