There are not many good restaurants in this area so I was surprised this new restaurant turned out delicious.
I was on my way to Saizeyria when I discovered this.
The decor and style was too goo for this area but then the food is pricier than other restaurants in the area.
The dinner menu seems small but the variety was good.
I settled for the Typhoon shelter noodles which looked deadly spicy and heavily flavoured when it came.

It was surprisingly tasty but not too salty and it was oily but the oil was fresh.
The noodles were packed with fishball slices, prawns, squid and strangely there were bits of scrambled egg in it.
As I was quite impressed by the food, I went back another night and had the Thai sizzlier with beef and ducks blood which turned out looking pale but the taste was surprisingly flavourful and tastes exactly like chopsuey/chopchoy in UK.
Hopefully, it will still be good in a months time!

I was still hungry after lunch and it was late in the afternoon so I decided to get something to eat.
There were tea sets at Jollibee which I decided to try.
When you get to the counter, you have to specifically ask for the tea set menu or you won't find it.
Anyway, ordered and waited for my order number to appear on the screen.
Sadly, the display wasn't functioning as they were still calling out the orders so I collected mine when I heard my number.

The set was quite good except the fries were too crispy for my liking but I loved the gravy on the beef patty.
There were some sliced mushrooms on top of the burger patty.
The beef patty tasted quite nice as it was soft and juicy.

If you like Willow Leaf Fish roe (smelt or Shishamo), you will love this gunkan.
Although the roe is pale and does not look as appetizing as flying fish roe, it was really delicious for me because it is pure roe without those annoying fine bones and bitterness when the fish is grilled.
I hope to get it again because it tastes really good.

I have always wanted to try Sichuan fish pot but most of the restaurants are on high rise buildings so it sucks to queue for the lift.Just like the chicken pot, you eat the fish first and then soup is added making it a hotpot to put stuff in.
There are three sets to choose from.

Chose the $188 because I wasn't sure how spicy it was going to be and whether it would taste good.

You begin with starters which are quite spicy except the salad.

The star of the show was delicious so I am definitely coming back for it.

The spiciness was just right and the fish was fresh.
The other chicken pot was spicier in my opinion but it is better to choose fish because they specialize in fish here and the chicken is randomly chopped so it is mainly bones.

Went here ages ago because I heard there was going to be a lot of cheese.
Anyway, SAY CHEESE is still under teething stages so I tried the breakfast and dessert.
The name of the shop reminds me of photographers, they would always ask you to say "cheese" so that it looks like you are smiling!

Started with the grapefruit tea which was refreshing and not too sweet with a strong natrual grapefruit taste.
Next was the hearty breakfast which had a bit of everything.
The sausage was really good because it wasn't those lame frankfurters.
The chicken wings and fries were a good snack to share.
It was nice the wings were single boned which made it easier and tastier to eat.

For dessert, had the cubes of brownies and toast in honey.
The toast cubes were huge and crispy.

Felt like something different so chose chicken and chips.

You get two big chicken drumsticks served with chips.

The chicken drumsticks are a bit dry but meaty and satisfying.

I didn't like the chips as they were a bit dehydrated and they were oven baked chips.

Also had the lemon donut which was filled with lemon curd.

It was quite sweet and went well with tea.

Winter is here and everyone is mad for hotpots!
To start off, you get a plate of meats and seafood where you can order more.
I was really happy because there was a good range of vegetables, desserts, soups and drinks.
In the sauces section they had Sichuan chili so you can add a touch of Sichuan to the meats or add it to the broth to turn it into a Sichuan spicy hotpot.
The taro icelolly imported from Thailand was really good because it was not too sweet with a fragrant taro taste.
I wish they imported other flavours in the range.
