A few years ago McDonalds launched all day breakfast only on new years day and since then they have been serving it every year.

This year, they decided to promote the hotcakes with a choice of four sauces.
Three were not available before such as strawberry, fudge and Skippy's peanut butter.
Clearly the strawberry and fudge sauce are the sauces used for the sundaes.
Also served all day on New Years day was the soy milk which is another breakfast item.

I got the hotcakes deluxe, extra Sausage Mcmuffin, Bacon loaded fries, apple pie and the soy milk because I always like having fun mixing the things around.

The pancakes were hot, soft and fluffy and they tasted even better when I put the filling from the apple pie onto the pancakes.

Some of the chocolate sauce was put into my soymilk making it into chocolate soymilk, while I played with the remaining sauce on the hotcakes.



For the Sausage McMuffin, I put the guacamole from the loaded fries and it went really well together.


To summarize, I had a fun New Years day!

I love cheese so when McDonalds came out with the Quattro Cheeseburger with 4 slices again I had to get it.
The burger was a little different from the product picture and would have tasted better if they arranged it like the picture with cheese slices in between the beef instead of 2 cheese slices on the bottom and top of the burger.
It was definitely delicious with the extra cheese and sauce especially the white cheese as it is tastier.
THE ONLY THING THAT RUINED IT WAS THE TEMPERATURE, THE BURGER WAS COLD!!
Luckily I tried it at a different branch last year because this branch always serves cold burgers.

Discovered another branch of South Taiwan comfort when I was walking down Queens Road Central.
The menu is the same as the one in Kennedy Town and this branch has desserts so I tried the desserts.
The Brown Sugar Tea with Longan and Red Date was hot and soothing.

The Taro Balls with Brown Sugar Tea was a great way to end dinner as a dessert.
It was colourful and filling.
I loved the taro balls and the yellow ones made with sweet potato.
Definitely coming again.

This is a must for me if I am in Lai chi kok because they do decent quiches just like the ones in UK.
I had the quiche lorraine and it had generous pieces of bacon in it and the onions complemented it nicely.
There are other quiches as well but this was the one I didn't try on the last visit.
Price is very reasonable and it is such a big slice.

Came here because I found out that they had fried fish!Started with the luncheon meat and tomato sandwich which was soft and fluffy balanced by the appetizing tomato slices.

The star of the show was the fish, but the sauce was weird because it was viscous and frothy, the colour was different to the pictures posted which were clear and dark with visible herbs floating on top.

The fish was good but I didn't touch the sauce because it didn't look right.
Also had the chicken wings which were crispy and sweet.

Finished with the fruit tea which was extremely good with a strong passionfruit taste and it was not too sweet.

Haven't been to SKW for ages so decided to go there and have a look.Went here because they have my favourite stinky tofu.
The tofu was crispy but not as pungent as you would expect but saying that, some people said they could smell it when they came in.

Also had the beef noodles which had a strong soup, it was a little bit spicy.

For drinks had the Earl grey with red tea, the bergamot flavouring was very promient.
The hot fruit tea was big and made with fresh fruits!

Went here for dinner after going to the gun club nearby.We were greeted by this familiar looking gentlemen who turned out to be the owner, it turns out he is cantopop singer Vangie Tang's dad which explains his good looks!
My favourite song by VT is Gei Lim!!

Anyway, back to the food, they specialize in chicken pots and there is a pretty good seafood set for 2xx per person and you get a live crab, oyster, fish prawns and abalone!~

Here was the delicious hotpot:

The spiciness was just right and I liked the way it was steady and the spiciness remained constant all the way through.
The chicken was tender and the purple onions were sweet.
After we finished eating the chicken, broth was added.
The crab turned out really good and everything was tasty that we didn't really need the sauces given in the beginning.
