I am so glad HM is everywhere, I absolutely love their musubis.I had the soybean chicken soup which was fantastic as always, there was so much beancurd sheets in the soup and all of it was soft and silky.
Everything is healthy and msg free so money well spent.

Abalone is a supreme delicacy to the Chinese yet there are not many abalone specialists in Hong Kong.
Fu Ho restaurant is Michelin starred and headed by Ar Yung who is an expert in Abalone.That night we went there for a gathering and I finally got to try the abalone and other delectable dishes.
Began with the braised Yoshihama abalone with 30 heads.
Starting from the edge of the abalone and working towards the middle, the abalone was tender to chewy with a stronger taste towards the centre in this wonderful unami abalone gravy.
Next was the soup which was light yet crammed with so much crabmeat, bamboo piths and springy fish maw.
 It is flavourful and didn't need any vinegar.


The fish were battered in two ways, one was in salty golden egg yolk and the other was wrapped in celery contrasted by the crunchy fruit salad.


The crab was one of my favourite as it was braised with wintermelon.
The chunky pieces of wintermelon were the star of the show as it had absorbed all the essence and oozed out when you ate it.


The chicken had an evenly crisp skin which was fragrant while the chicken was tender.

Next was the soup which was very pleasing because of the huge ark clam which made the vegetables and broth really sweet.

For the last course, it was vegetable fried rice.
It was good to have some filling carbs which was meatless so that it wasn't too heavy.

The dessert was a surprise because I assumed it was going to be very sweet which is typical of Chinese desserts but the syrup was served separately.
It was good I could have the double boiled birds nest in almond cream without the syrup as it was healthy and the almond taste was more prominent.

There were also steamed dumplings but i was too full to try them.


To summarize, I really appreciate how this restaurant has kept its traditional abalone recipes and this is the place to go for ABALONE!

A while ago I saw these cupcake ads featuring Hong Kong style drink flavours as well as Cha chaan teng dishes!!!!
Finally tried it as someone ordered it in advance.
There are so many flavours like Condensed Milk Toast, Ovaltine, Lemon Tea Pineapple butter bun, HK style milk tea, Coffee, Iced Red bean drink, salty lemon, horlicks, honey lemon and boiled ginger and coke.
Imagine all these flavours in cupcake form.
Tried the lemon and cola which was fun as it was decorated with a cola bottle candy topped with buttercream.
It was quite nice but I couldn't quite taste the cola.
The ovaltine one fared better with a rich ovaltine taste.
Top marks for presentation as the cup cake cases are designed to look like the cups used in local cha chaan tengs.

I love Spam Musubis and my first ever one I had was from Pololi when they first opened a few years ago.
Pololi was at the Ocean Park Music Fest, so I ordered one as I haven't had it for a long time.
It looked a bit different to the one I had a few years ago, there is more rice and soy sauce for sure.
The taste was still good but probably better if there was less rice so there is more spam in ratio to the rice.

If you are a fan of Harry Potter, then you would know about Weasley's family.
At Weisley's Wardrobe, it is a theme inspired restaurant with magical dinner sets.

Pan Fried Salmon cubes with Sago Crackers:
A fun way to start dinner with these tasty seaweed and sago crackers.

The seafood bouillabaisse was really good because the broth had a strong seafood flavour packed with so much shellfish in the bowl.

The panfried fish still had the skin attached, hence retaining taste and moisture on top of delicious quinoa.

For the other set, there was creamy and nutty chestnut soup.

The main course was cute little quail legs on risotto which was filling and satisfying.

Finished with the hojicha cheesecake which was a perfect ending as it was light and not too sweet.


Weisley's Wardrobe is definitely a great place for dinner in a lovely environment and you can even try on the outfits at the entrance for photos.

Coyote Bar & Grill is one of my hangouts for Mexican Food, I always go there for lunch with colleagues.
At night, it is a totally different scene where the place comes alive.
For Cinco de Mayo, they are serving a new Surf and Turf menu available throughout the month of May.
There are two surf options and two turf options or you can Surf and Turf for $398.

Tried the two Surf and Turf Combos.
The lobster and hanger steak were the best especially the juicy hanger steak which was marinated in Achiote and cajun while the lobster tails were dressed in zesty lime butter.

On the lighter side, there was barramundi and Parmesan and Pistachio crusted lamb.
The fish went well with Pineapple Ancho Chile salsa and the lamb was paired with my favourite parsnip puree and cumin roasted fennel.

On Saturday 5th May, the day of Cinco de Mayo, there will be a party at Coyote!!!
The party will begin at 8pm with free entry, a free Tequila Patròn shot upon arrival, free delectable canapés, as well as games and prizes.
The night will also get heated with an exciting flaming Jäger-bomb show, a limbo contest, as well as piñata smashing for a chance to win a wide selection of dining vouchers for guests to use upon their next visit.

Prince Bakery used to be everywhere but not anymore!There used to be a branch in Sheung Wan but their bakeries just didn't captivate me.
It only stands out at TiuKengLeng because there are no other options so you either have to go to well known brands like Arome Bakery, Saint Honore and Maxims etc.

As I was still hungry, I decided to try the cakes which costs $15.
I got the brown sugar chestnut roll and the strawberry cream cake.

Frankly, the strawberry one was over priced because it was just tiny.
The strawberry cream cake fared much better because the cake was light and the cream was fluffy.
The chestnut roll was too sweet and the cream in the middle was dense and waxy.
