Brilliant food as well as coffee

Discovered this place a few weeks ago and realized they served food as well as coffee.
The menu was sophisticated because they had osso buco which isn't something that is served everywhere and the joint looked small yet they could offer a good variety which is impressive.
As this place is always full, finally went on Mother day's afternoon when everyone should be busy pampering themselves for the evening or occupied with their families and in-laws etc.
When they gave us the menu, we were told the specials that day were white truffle omelette and butter chicken!!
My eyes literally lit up when I heard that because I love butter chicken and it was kind of odd to find it here as not many Hong Kongers know/eat this dish.
They said it was served with Indian Rice which really got me excited.
I already had my mind on the butter chicken, although the white truffle was also good because black truffle is getting boring these days and cheap truffle tastes like petrol.
When it came, I was so happy as it really was Indian Rice!!!!
The sauce was so damn good, just like the stuff you get from Marks and Spencers or any decent Indian place and the chicken pieces were tandoori chicken so I ate every piece.
Normally I leave the meat found in curries and whatever in Hong Kong because 99% isn't fresh leaving me malnourished but their butter chicken left me satisfied.
If there was more Indian Rice, I would have downed it because I LOVE INDIAN RICE!
The staff were wonderful as well as I asked for advice on cooking Indian Rice and they gave me sound advice like adding butter/ghee to it which isn't what an average HKer would know.
While I was there, someone was smoking outside, it was really considerate of them to close the front door before the smell was enough to agitate anyone.

Not in a million years do I buy anything from here because their pastry stinks and their butter smells strange. The pies and tarts in Europe taste and smell amazing but nothing like this.
Anyway, saw these cute rolls with a heart shaped jelly on top so decided to try them.
It cost $16 for three different flavours.
The chocolate one and strawberry one were my favourites but they were a bit too sweet and the cream was plastic so I left it.

This joint is out of no where but as I was in the area looking for Roast Pork, I stumbled across this joint.
Ordered the noodles with dumplings.
The spicy sauce that was mixed in the noodles were really good but too spicy and salty that I couldn't eat it.
However the dumplings fared better looking like Korean dumplings that are shaped like a braided fish tail.
The ratio of filling and dumpling skin was good but the taste of the chives were too strong for my liking.
At the counter, there is a cute tissue dispenser.

VEGG is basically the word for VEGAN eggs.
Currently there are so many different brands about but JUST SCRAMBLE is the first one to land in Hong Kong so I was really keen on trying it because I have a curiosity to try different things as long as it isn't scorpions or crunchy things that crawl.
Anyway, there were four options on the menu that has just scramble.
I went for the scrambled egg with vegan beef.
According to the media, just scramble is made from mung beans.
It makes you wonder how the texture is made to be like an egg with congealing properties but then glass vermicellis is also made from mung beans but both these products are very different.
If I was to fake some egg, I would experiment using seaweed algae and okra because algae has the bounciness while okra has the sliminess.
Anyway, back to scrambled egg, I was surprised the texture and taste was no different to normal eggs, so unless you are eating expensive tasty organic eggs, it would be hard to tell a difference.
Just scramble is the first vegg in Hong Kong but we shall see more brands in the future.

The tea set really appealed to me because it was colourful and on the sweet side there were donuts and scones.

Started with the bacalhau which are a signature at Supergiant as they serve top notch tapas.
Smoked salmon and sandwiches are a must in tea sets, both were good especially the beef.

Moving on to the scones, I loved the pineapple jam which gives it a nice summer splash while tasting good.

Discovered this place exactly a year ago when I was in the area.They specialize in baked potatoes which is something that I love.
As I was in the area, I finally tried the baked potato.
You get to choose a sauce and two fillings.
For the sauce, it was hard choosing between their signature cheese sauce or the blue cheese sauce.
The fillings didn't really appeal to me because it isn't the usual fillings like egg mayo, tuna etc but some weird choices.
I chose the bacon thinking it was the bacon I had in mind.
Anyway, it turned out to be this type of bacon if you consider it as bacon.
As for the signature cheese sauce, it was basically powdered cheese with milk, which isn't really cheese.
Decided to pay extra for the blue cheese sauce as you can't really fake blue cheese as you can with cheese in general because the taste for blue cheese is distinct.
The blue cheese was much better but it tasted like the blue cheese ranch dips that you get with buffalo wings so I would recommend the blue cheese sauce.
Moving on to the potato, it wasn't baked all the way through as It was still hard.
A good baked potato should have hard skin with a soft fluffy centre so that when you cut it in the middle, you should be able to use your fingers and push it in from the side and put filling on top.
There is another place in MK that serves baked potatoes which I plan to try soon, hopefully it will fare better.
