So far I have only had one good North American pho so I was really excited to try this place as the menu claims they are from Toronto.
Unfortunately, due to the excitement, I seemed to have ordered the wrong noodles so I can't compare with that other place.
Started with the avocado smoothie which was a bit bland.
The noodles in this bowl looked like Yunnan Rice vermicelli with a similar texture.
I was hoping it to be the usual Vietnamese flat rice noodles by default but later found out on the menu that this one uses a different noodle.


The other curry noodles were very coconutty and sweet.
Again, both were hard to compare with a hearty bowl of beef pho so I will probably try it again in the future.

Went here for a quick lunch.
Ordered the crab and pumpkin pasta which was better than my expectations.
It was served hot and the portion was big, the only flaw was the crab shell pieces.
Other than that, the pumpkin sauce was really good and the black pepper gave it a balanced flavour.
The masala chai tasted ok but it had strange white bits floating on top.

As I was in Central, went here for a quick pho fix.Ordered the Pho Signature which has everything from tripe, raw beef, beef balls etc.
The broth was clear and very sweet.

The noodles had a good chew to it and does not go too soft when it has been in the broth for too long.
For drinks, finished with the coconut water and lime soda.

As well as CWB, they have a joint in Kwuntong but went here as it is more convenient.Every time I go past, there is always people waiting outside to be seated.
That day, we got seated within 10 minutes which was good.
Ordered the spicy tofu with rice which wasn't that spicy and the tofu they used was the really silky ones which lack soybean taste.
Next were the pork chops which were only $37.
The portion was pretty impressive.

Also had the $18 pot which comes with fishmaw, but it was only $18 so the portion and contents were fair.
Overall, the food was ok and it didn't cost a bomb as all the above and an extra rice was under $130.

Came here for a quick meeting and ate a toast while I was here.
Had the cheese and parma ham.
It was quite nice but it would taste even nicer if they used cheddar.
The parma ham in the toast stole the show as it was delicate with a good flavour.
Overall a really good place to go on weekdays but it is a bit of a trek uphill.

Discovered this fruit juice joint a while ago which I wanted to try but forgot about it.
Finally went past it on the way to Westwood Carvery so grabbed a quick drink from this place.
It was hard making my mind up on which two fruits to blend together for $30,
In the end chose grapefruit and hami melon because I liked the colour of both fruits.
The juice came out a pretty blushy peach colour and it was very refreshing with some tiny bits of hami melon.
Although the grapefruit overpowered the hami melon, it was still enjoyable.

Brilliant food as well as coffee

Discovered this place a few weeks ago and realized they served food as well as coffee.
The menu was sophisticated because they had osso buco which isn't something that is served everywhere and the joint looked small yet they could offer a good variety which is impressive.
As this place is always full, finally went on Mother day's afternoon when everyone should be busy pampering themselves for the evening or occupied with their families and in-laws etc. 

When they gave us the menu, we were told the specials that day were white truffle omelette and butter chicken!!
My eyes literally lit up when I heard that because I love butter chicken and it was kind of odd to find it here as not many Hong Kongers know/eat this dish.
They said it was served with Indian Rice which really got me excited.
I already had my mind on the butter chicken, although the white truffle was also good because black truffle is getting boring these days and cheap truffle tastes like petrol.

When it came, I was so happy as it really was Indian Rice!!!!
The sauce was so damn good, just like the stuff you get from Marks and Spencers or any decent Indian place and the chicken pieces were tandoori chicken so I ate every piece.
Normally I leave the meat found in curries and whatever in Hong Kong because 99% isn't fresh leaving me malnourished but their butter chicken left me satisfied.
If there was more Indian Rice, I would have downed it because I LOVE INDIAN RICE!

The staff were wonderful as well as I asked for advice on cooking Indian Rice and they gave me sound advice like adding butter/ghee to it which isn't what an average HKer would know.
While I was there, someone was smoking outside, it was really considerate of them to close the front door before the smell was enough to agitate anyone.
