Previously this spot used to be Caffe Diemme but now it is a POKE joint.

POKE is typically raw tuna (ahi) cubes marinated with sea salt, a small amount of soy sauce, inamona (roasted crushed candlenut), sesame oil, limu seaweed, and chopped chili pepper.

As well as POKE, they had BBQ chicken poke bowls which is probably on the menu for locals who do not eat raw stuff.

I ordered the AHI TUNA POKE thinking it would be tuna in soy sauce but the sauce was creamy.
It wasn't what I was expecting because raw tuna and creamy sauce just didn't go well together.
The rice wasn't even soft so I ended up just eating the tuna.

To be honest, I would have been better off ordering the customized bowls where you can choose your proteins and sauces but again, the rice was hard and undercooked that day.

I was given the salmon pokkorito which had buckwheat noodles dressed in Wasabi mayo.
Again the rice was too hard and I just didn't have the heart to tell them as I could feel their passion but the rice which is part of the main ingredient was not soft enough.

It has been at least 5 years since I had buffet here!
The thing that hasn't changed is its popularity as it is always packed with people.They have oysters, lobsters, Alaskan crab legs, sushi and sashimi hence the reason why Hong Kongers love it.
My favourite is the Indian selection because I just love curries.
All of them were quite spicy and it was good they had soft and fluffy Indian Rice.
Tried the sushi which was fresh especially the salmon.
On the Chinese side, I had the Korean Ginseng soup which was really impressive as it had the glutinous rice in the soup.
Left some room for dessert as they had so many Movenpick flavours and toppings for pancakes.
I love the tangerine pieces and dinky eggtarts which were not too sweet.
Will definitely come again.

Randomly tried this place as I haven't tried it and because it was cheap!!!!
To be honest, I didn't expect it to taste good but it was better than I expected.
The broth was bland even though you could taste MSG but it was just not salty enough.
The dumplings were plump with a strong sesame oil taste and this was where the salt was because the dumplings were too salty.   Normally the noodles in Hong Kong are served boiling ready to scald you but they were luke warm hence marks off for that.

I was surprised to discover that PC had a series of beetroot drinks!!!!
There was beetroot lemonade, yuzu beetroot and blueberry beetroot.
Tried the beetroot lemonade as it was hard imagining how the other two would taste.

I suppose you could taste the beetroot but the lemon didn't really come through.

Towards the end it strangely tasted like Ribena with some bitterness because of the lemon peel.

The lemon and bitterness got stronger but luckily there was the syrup at the bottom to balance it out.

This is a great place to stop for drinks, you can sit inside or outside.
Drinks are reasonable priced.
The house lemonade which is freshly made is extremely refreshing for $15.
The guy was really nice to warn me that it needed syrup and he was right and it needed quite alot as it was that sour.
They also had ice shaken teas which are not sweetened and the long jin was my favourite too.

It was an elders birthday so this place was booked to celebrate it.
As well as abalone, Fu ho is renowned for top quality Chinese dishes.
I've been here before so I knew the food was going to be good but this time it was better as they were more experienced so they knew which dishes to pick.

Started with the thick fish maw soup which was clear and packed with chunky pieces of fish maw.

I really loved it as it was just pure fish maw and the soup was like gravy which you could just mix rice into it.

Next was the goose web feet which were soft and evenly braised drizzled in heavenly Chinese gravy.
Rice was ordered with this because the gravy goes so well with it.

We had the crispy garlic fish which had a lovely aroma when it arrived.
Each piece of fish was indeed crispy and stayed crispy yet the fish was silky and soft inside.

The star of the show was the abalone as this place specializes in abalone so how could we not have it.
It was fresh shitaake mushroom with abalone and Jinhua Ham which are all meant to be eaten together.

The ham gives the abalone a nice salty flavour along with the mushrooms so everything was minimalistic but tasty.
To finish we had the house special fried vermicelli and I bow to that because it was so delicious, there was an eggy taste and each strand was evenly flavoured.

The elders really enjoyed their dinner so we will definitely come again.

This restaurant used to be bam le garde or something but changed to Pinco Pallino at the beginning of the year which is when I visited.
It was been there for half a year but still not on openrice.
As a gnocchi lover, I got the gnocchi in tomato sauce.
All their pastas are handmade hence the shape is a bit different and these are like little pillows.
They were firm with a chew in a rich tomato sauce so I loved it.
