Spotted this joint across the road because of the cute tiger.
At first I got confused because I thought it was the curry place Tiger Room and Tiger San but it turns out to be Tiger Cart noodles.
Anyway, I was captivated by the noodles because they had beetroot and spinach.
As I have had spinach numerous times, I decided to try the beetroot but it was sold out.
Luckily they offered me Kale noodles as I haven't tried that before.
The noodles had a grassy smell and flavour while the texture was very slippery when you pick them up with chopsticks.
The vegetable broth I had was very sweet but quite nice.
Next time I plan to try other stuff as the were having a media shoot so I got a sneak preview of the other items.

Went here because of the new pistachio nutella kiwi crepe/waffle.
It was good that they had two versions: crepes or waffles.
As I like crepes, I got the crepe version.
Before I had the dessert, I had the scrambled egg and avocado toast.
The scrambled eggs had a light and fluffy texture but it needed a little salt while the avocados were not that ripe.
The crepe was good though, nutella and nuts are always good together and there was delicious silky cream in the middle.
Finished with Jasmine Tea and Mocha.

As well as Wanchai, you can now dine at the Ocean Terminal for Ichigen Ramen.
The new ramen bar is much more spacious and at the far end you have beautiful views of the harbour.
Ichigen specializes in a strong sweet shrimp broth which is prepared daily by boiling incredible amounts of sweet shrimp heads to create the signature Ebisoba.
The Ebi Mazesoba is exclusive at this branch and not even available in Japan!
It is noodles topped with diced BBQ pork, hot spring egg, sweet shrimp flavoured tempura bits, green onions and seaweed .
When you eat it, everything is tossed together so that each strand is covered in aromatic shrimp sauce.
The flavours are much intense as the sauce is stronger than the broth.
On the menu, the also have the regular ramen with 3 types of seasoning, miso, salt and soy sauce.
Had he basic noodles which come with a slice of roast pork, half an egg sprinkled with pretty pink crispies made of flour mixed with red ginger and prawn broth.
The broth was rich with unami as expected with a slight bitterness which hung to the noodles well.
As I have previously tried the rice ball, I had the gyozas.
Strangely, it tasted really good with the ramen white pepper on the table.

After my first visit to YXD, I was hooked on their herbal soups.
Tried the Sichuan broth and herbal chicken twice so this time had the duck and chicken broth.
The duck broth was also good with a fiery ginger kick to it but the fried tofu rolls that were already in it made the broth quite oily.
Next time I order it, I shall take the tofu out asap when they bring it to the table.
As I was there mainly for the broth, I ordered vegetable sides to keep the broth oil free.
The Taiwanese vermicelli was a wise choice as it goes well with the broth.
Since the vermicelli was already cooked, I just put hot broth over it and it was good to eat.
The vermicelli worked better with the herbal chicken soup as it was stronger while the duck broth just gave it a sweet taste.

Food is good as always especially the green pea mint soup.
It had lots of whole peas in it and everything was in harmony.
The ham and cheese toast was a bit hard and salty.
I was still thirsty after having the fragrant coconut latte so I asked the guy at the counter for some water and gave him the empty latte cup for it.
He was so nice as I didn't expect him to rinse the paper cup but he did and gave me a lovely cup of warm water.

After the Herbal joint closed down, this bakery popped up.
A1 Chateraise can also be found at hanghau and tko.
Anyway, saw some captivating items so got the cherry danish and apple turnover.

It was round drizzled with icing on the edges with three cherries in the middle.
The cherries were quite big.
As for the taste, it satisfied my danish craving as the icing worked well with the pastry while in the middle it was packed with thick custard and soft sweet cherries.

The apple turnover tasted great especially the apple and cinnamon filling.
The only thing that let it down was the pastry which was too buttery and not risen properly.
The pastry was evidently a lattice pastry folded into a triangle to make a turnover.

I was here again to visit COCO House which is located right outside B2 exit.
COBO means Community of Bohemians.

The restaurant is designed by Mr Adrian Cheng, Founder of K11 Art Foundation, and every object inside COBO HOUSE is collected and sourced by him from around the world.
They are now serving the Summer Truffle Set Menu which is in collaboration with the famous Italian truffle brand BOSCOVIVO.
(Available from now to 26 August.)
During the Summer Truffle Promotion period, BOSCOVIVO truffle products can also be purchased at COBO HOUSE.

Here are the dishes that I had in the Truffle set menu:
Hokkaido Scallops with Rainbow Tomato Salad and Summer Truffles
[Rainbow Tomato salad, beets, mango, green plum vinaigrette, summer truffle]
It was impressive how they presented this dish from the placement of the cherry tomatoes to the layering especially the way they managed to put different colours on each tomato stack.
The pan-roasted Hokkaido scallops are sashimi-grade hence the silky texture and it was refreshingly complimented by the black vinegar.
Truffle Scrambled Eggs with Wild Mushrooms and Parma Ham:
[Wild mushroom, baby spinach, crispy parma ham, truffle toast, summer truffle]
The second starter was a bit more filling as it was scrambled egg, there was a good layering which can be seen on the side of the glass.
At the bottom was fried wild mushrooms and black truffles, in the middle is Italian baby spinach, at the top is truffle scrambled eggs surrounded with Italian Parma ham crisps.
It was all in harmony as scrambled eggs, truffle and crispy parma ham can never go wrong.

For the mains, there is a choice of Cod or Beef.
Cod Fish with Braised Fennel
[Braised fennel, asparagus truffle pasta, lobster emulsion, summer truffle]
This was a lighter main compared to the beef but I loved the paring of fennel and the fish.
Lobster Emulsion and Black Truffle and Beef Fillet:
[carrot puree, beer onion, finger potato, truffle jus, summer truffle]
The beef Fillet was just how I liked it, perfectly pink and juicy in the middle complimented with my favourite root vegetables and mash.
Truffle Marsala Tiramisu dessert:
Jasmine rice sorbet, chocolate wind, summer truffle
As well as a good beginning, the end was good especially the Jasmine rice sorbet which had a fragrant strong taste of rice contrasted by the bitterness of the coffee bubble.
