Sadly, there isn't a supermarket here anymore.
Anyway, now there is MOS Burger.
I have been meaning to try the Quinoa scallop burger because it looked good but scallops are quite tasteless.
Anyway, there was a strange smell to the burger, the sauce was very creamy and coconutty.
The scallop patty wasn't very flavourful and it included the scallop skirt which was weird although it gives it the fishy flavour.
To round up, I'm not quite impressed, a different patty might have tasted better and the sauce didn't match.

Went here a while ago so the items might have changed.
Anyway tried three puddings: strawberry, coconut and apple.
The texture was like knojac and the flavours were ok.
I liked the stringy cake which had cheese in it.
It was interesting as it was quite savoury in taste as well as sweet.

Not that I care but there has been a famous comment going on that brown sugar milk has no tea taste.
But then brown sugar milk is just brown sugar and milk, there is no tea in it at all!!!!!!!!

At [KOI The], they offer both, [brown sugar and milk] and also [brown sugar and milk tea].

I ordered [brown sugar and milk] which was quite nice even though I have not tried the famous one.

It was a good balance of brown sugar syrup in ratio to milk so it was not too sweet and the milk wasn't overwhelming.
The photo was taken after I shook the drink to mix the brown sugar.
The English and Chinese on the menu are mismatched and the music is too loud so ordering was difficult because they can't hear you.

Passed by Queen Sophie in the afternoon and noticed the Spinach Ricotta lattice.
I did not rush to buy it because most people in the area are locals.

Returned at 9pm and there were still plenty of them so I got one to try.

On first bite it was a little bit sweet because there was some sugar on it from the pastry tongs that were used to pick up other pastries.

On second bite, all I could taste pastry and not much of the filling.
It was totally Hongkie style where you get 25% filling and 75% pastry.

The pastry base was so thick that I was able to rip the base off leaving a substantial layer that covered the filling.

Taking a third bite without the thick base, I could finally taste the spinach but not much Ricotta.
I suppose if the Ricotta was any stronger, the locals wouldn't like it which defeats the purpose of serving this as the locals won't buy it so they might as well just serve the spinach lattice.

I love Wanchai so it is the place to go anytime of the day or week.During the weekdays, restaurants are busy but at night and weekends they are nice an quiet.
Knowing that [Have a Date] serves steaks, went there during the weekend and as expected there were less people.
The decor was quite cowboy style with quite a lot of wood and logs etc.

As well as steaks they do pastas which are popular during lunch.
Anyway, as I was there for steaks I didn't order pasta but I could smell someone having it behind me and it smelt damn good.
With the steaks you get a croissant and soup as starters which were fab because I love croissants and it is better than being given a Chinese style Western bun.
For steak, had the beef and lamb chops.
Both came with perfectly done chips which were golden in golden while the meats were juicy and tender.


Will return for pasta soon.

Went here because I love fish.
They serve fish maw which women love because of the collagen.
The noodle was my favourite because the fish gas bladder was big and generous however the fish maw wasn't soft enough.
As well as the fishy stuff, the tofu puffs absorbed the broth nicely.
Also had the beef beef cubes which was juicy and tender,  but I still prefer the fish soup.

Discovered this new coffee shop which opened not long ago.Unfortunately it was too new hence the drinks selection was limited so there were no teas or cakes.

Anyway, had the hot chocolate where you can choose the size so had the small.

The hot chocolate had a strong cocoa powder taste which was not too sweet. When I got to the bottom, there was more cocoa residue at the bottom.
Found out that they made it with a mixture of cocoa and chocolate syrup.
Overall a nice place for drinks and hope to see more selection.
