The avocado toastie looked great on the flyer so decided to get one.

It was only $17 but the catch is that you get one side of the 6inch sub.
To be honest, I need two to fill me but the portion should be enough for people with bird size stomachs!!
I think the toastie is difficult for them to wrap as the paper just sticks to the filling since it is an open toast.
Anyway, the toastie was too hot for me to handle when I got it yet the bread part was soft and floppy making it difficult to eat.
It would be great if they could just toast the bread part for a while until it has a toastie texture rather than just toasting the bun with avocado at the same time to save time.

Apart from it being messy to eat, it was quite delicious as there were no sauces which makes it healthy.

I love desserts but sometimes desserts can be overly sweet.
When the sweetness is just right, it hits the spot.

At Sweet Point Dessert, there are so many items to choose from.

There are waffles, icecream, souffle pancakes and many other items.
Tried the souffle pancake which is trending now and the ice cream rolls which I haven't had in ages.

There is a motto saying:
Life is like a dessert, eat it before it melts..............

The souffle pancake came first and it was plump and soft.
The texture of the souffle pancake is just like eating souffle and mousse that melts in your mouth.

The best thing was that it was not too sweet and heavy.
As it wasn't very filling I didn't feel that guilt factor eating it.

Next was the sea salt icecream rolls.

It was topped with candyfloss for decoration.
I loved the texture of the icecream because it reminded me of mastic Turkish icecream which has a high elasticity and the taste was slightly savoury with a lovely creaminess.
Again, it was not too sweet.
Will definitely be back as they said they will have some new items soon.

Since my last visit, there are so many new items on them menu.
I was tempted to try the cheese fondue which was melted cheese inside a toast cube but then the shaved ice was also captivating so I ordered that.
The shaved ice is served in a traditional clay pot that is used for cooking claypot dishes!

The presentation was interesting because normally you would find hot dishes in the pot but it was dessert.
It makes me wonder if the clay pot is also functional in keeping the shaved ice cold.
The oolong tea was quite refreshing as well as thirst quenching.
It didn't seem to melt that fast so I guess the pot was keeping it cool.
Finished with the grapefruit tea.
Will be back for the cheese fondue.

It is really difficult getting good donuts but Great Food Hall is a good option as they have lots of different donuts, scones and pastries etc.
Got the French Crueller, Bomblini and Raspberry Donut.
Devoured the French Crueller imediately, it was nice but I wasn't very fond of it because it was moist and eggy in the middle.
The bomblini and donut was a surprise, I had them the next day and there was no oiliness or rancid oil taste to it.
The doughnut was perfectly fluffy and and soft while the filling complimented it nicely.

Tried this joint as it was new, they specialize in cart noodles.

The menu  has English and Chinese, the Chinese is a little complicated and looks like an MTR map!!

Had the signature dumplings with truffle and it was awful, the old oil taste was more over powering than the truffle which then tasted like nasty petrol with the truffle from the dumplings!

The cart noodle broth was literally tasteless but luckily they gave me the Nissin instant noodle soup powder in case I needed it.

I didn't use it in the end.
The signature Chinese radish and Beef rib was disappointing, the radish was again just boiled radish and the beef rib was a bit old.

My last hope was the spicy duck blood which as you can see is just duck blood jelly topped with chili paste on top of radish!
Other places serve it in Spicy delicious sauce not boiled Duck's blood and then topped with chili paste.
If I knew there was radish in this dish I would have picked something else instead for the cart noodles.



The only thing that was good was the freshly squeezed corn juice that they claimed was freshly squeezed.
It tasted natrual with a slight savoriness from the sweetcorn.

Went here because I haven't tried this place before.

I didn't have any expectations because I don't have any affections for HK style noodles and they are not very filling.

The staff were nice and polite which was surprising.

Ordered two noodles, one with seaweed and flat rice noodles with beef.

The wonton noodles with seaweed tasted quite nice and the seaweed gave it more flavour.

The beef noodles were a bit boring as the noodles didn't absorb the broth so it was quite tasteless and the beef was sodarized beef.

No complaints for that price but HK noodles are not my thing.

Spotted this joint when I was heading to LKF, it stood out because it was blue but it definitely didn't look like a food joint because I thought it was a laundry shop.
Went in as I saw people eating there, took a look at the menu and the wow they serve abalone as well as Panini.

In the fridge, there are various of Chinese desserts as well as Hydrophonic veggies for sale.

Decided to try the soups and noodles on the first visit.
Started with the noodles with dried shrimp roe and abalone.

Every strand of noodle was tasty and there was no alkaline taste in the noodles which was good so that you can fully appreciate the abalone, dried shrimp roe and the sauce.
Next had the mock sharks fin soup which is now my favourite because it was clear and everything in the soup is fresh.


Some shops use meat that isn't fresh for the broth base but here it was all fresh and good so I really appreciate it.
Next time I am going to order this with the noodles and mix it in

For the soup, I had the fish maw soup which as you can see had a huge piece in the soup.

It was clear and nourishing made with a broth base from lean meat.
Finished with the Sweet Hokkaido milk soup with fish maw as dessert.

I was so impressed because it was not too sweet with a fragrant milk taste.
Again there is no need to explain, what you see is what you get.
As an expat, I would love to see this in pudding form [Hokkaido milk pudding with fish maw] which would taste great.

Anyway, definitely coming back for the panini and more dessert after dinner as this place is open in the evenings!!!!!
