I am always in the area so went here for dinner.
For mains, had the all day breakfast,  Strozzapreti and Roast Chicken.

The Strozzapreti was nice and creamy with a chew to it infused with black truffle.
The breakfast was  a good variety of everything.
The star of the show was the roast chicken.

I was really impressed with the roast potatoes.
The staff were good and knew their stuff as they could tell me which potatoes had been used.
Finished with fruit tea which was a good way to end the meal.


They even had pomelo sago is smoothie form so it was a great dessert drink!!

Sai Ying Pun is a lovely place, you will find many historical buildings.
Walking from High Street, there is a famous haunted house and going down one of the lanes, there is one of the oldest paper mache shops in town and this joint is right next to it.
It might bother some people but I appreciate it as a form of art as well.
The menu during and day and night are different and I chose to visit during the day as they have donburis and I love the flexibility as they have Chirashi donburi where you can pick what you want instead of fixed items.
All lunches come with soup and salad.
Both donburis were good especially the chirashi as I got to pick prawns, minced toro and scallop.
The black curry is worth ordering but it was a bit different to what I was expecting because they said it was fruity with apple.
Although it tasted good, I felt that it tasted like Leek Curry as the leek was more prominent.
The vegetable tempura was perfectly golden.
Will come back for dinner sometime.

The food is good depending on what you order.
Unfortunately, the seating isn't comfy.
The metal drum tables were pretty annoying as you have to sit in a way that either your upper torso is twisted or you need to have your legs wide open as there is no leg space.
The bar table by the entrance corridor is practically useless as part of it is inclined at an angle.
As for the food, the pho was almost the next best because of the strong herbs and clear broth but the saltiness killed it.
The banhmi was palatable.

Since my last visit, there are more new cakes in the cabinet so decided to give it another go!!!!!!
Deluxe Bakery is a one stop for everything, they have cookies, cakes, artisan cakes and bakery.
I have been here quite a few times so decided to sum it up in one go.

On the first visit, I got some bakery for breakfast.
The walnut cheese bread was quite nice and the bread had a nice texture.

The sesame matcha bread with red beans was a nice sweet bread with starchy red beans which made it a great afternoon treat with tea.

The other time we got some cakes for an afternoon treat.
My favourite was the pink one which was pretty as well as tasting good as it was light and not too sweet.
The other cakes were delectable especially the Baileys and Chocolate.As well as cakes, my boss got a box of cookies which has six assorted flavours.
All of them were crumbly and delicious.

Was shopping in the area so stopped by for some TEA.
Strangely they had HK style milk tea so ordered it along with Japanese tea.
The Japanese tea was ok, it had the usual grassy taste.
The tea on ice tastes like the usual HK milk tea so hkers should love it.
However it was a bit sweet for my liking.
As well as tea, they are serving toasts, crispy pork chop buns to attract the locals.

Thankfully the beautiful autumn is here and Christmas is coming soon.
The best thing is the cooler weather in Hong Kong which makes me more energetic.
At La Scala, they are doing the Maple and Crab buffet with Augmented reality experience if you download the app!!
Every guest that dines here will get a baked surf clam with snow crab paste when they present the complimentary dish card to the counter.
As well as the seafood which there were so many other things to eat like Chinese roast.
The congee was my favourite as they cook it with the crab which gives it a lovely flavour.
In the dessert section, there was so much to choose from but I loved the maple puffs which were crispy and not too sweet.

I don't often hang out in TST but as the weather is getting cooler I don't mind al fresco dining but it is on the corner of the road so you do get some fumes.
Anyway, I was lucky my friend booked this place as it was practically full.
Sat on the corner so it was relatively quiet.

The menu was in English and Chinese and there were some interesting items like fried pigs ears.
Ordered the seafood platter which turned out to be a delicious big pan of bouillabaise where the broth was tasty and full of seafood flavour.
The seafood was fresh and the lobster was springy.
The next striking dish was the slow cooked octopus with squid ink mash.
I loved it because the mash was buttery infused with a nice squid ink flavour.
Dessert was really comforting and  I am so glad I chose the burnt rice pudding.
It was thick and creamy contrasted by burnt sugar in every mouthful.
Definitely will remember this place next time I am in TST.
