Went here for a cheap pizza fix!!
$28 and you get a big slab of pizza and there are three flavours to choose from.
Since I have a big appetite, one is ideal but perhaps it could be shared between two people with bird sized stomachs.
The margherita was pretty good, the cheese was melted just right and I loved the pizza base which was soft and chewy.
Ordered the apple pie too but it was sold out so got a refund for it.

Randomly got some Jasmine Tea from here as I was thirsty.

Opted for the sugar free iced Jasmine tea as I appreciate my teas without sugar.
I didn't have any expectations but I really liked it because the Jasmine was natrual and it had a nice bitter aftertaste.
The only thing I didn't like was the shops beside it, both were really noisy which made it hard to order and communicate.

Went here for dimsum because it was new.

I liked the way the dimsums are one piece per portion so if you go yourself or in funny numbers you can order as many as you please and if unfortunately it tastes crap you won't have to finish the rest.
Tea is clearly displayed that it costs $40 per pot and they won't sneakily serve you a pot of tea which was appreciated.

The environment was brilliant being on Staunton Road and it was nice and quiet without those annoying crockery clinking together and annoying people talking in Chinese loudly.
Started with the beef ball and wrapped glutinous rice.
Both took ages to arrive but it was good the beef didn't contain a drop of oil.

 Next was the bun which also took ages to arrive.

Surprisingly the bun tasted the best, the bun pastry was fluffy and light.
I would have just ordered buns if I knew it was that good but then again I like the flexibility of the menu.

The bill is served in a steamer.

Not that I didn't want to tip but they don't give you the change to tip until you ask for the receipt.

To summarize, buns and the environment was good so I wouldn't mind coming back for the buns!!!

It's been a while since I last got any egg tarts from Bakery King because I just don't like their egg tarts.
Only went again because of the salted egg yolk egg tart.
As well as salted egg yolk there are many flavours.

Got three items :
Durian, salted egg yolk and a chicken pie.

Durian Egg Tart:
The durian puree on top was horrible just like the Durian McFlurry which was sweetened but McFlurry was slightly better as it didn't taste so artificial.


Salted Egg Yolk Egg Tart:
I loved the thick salted egg yolk layer on the egg tart which overpowered the nasty eggy taste of the egg tart.

The chicken pie was the usual Hong Kong style taste with a sweet butter crust filled with Chicken in White sauce.

Finally made an effort to eat at #肉餅哥 because of omnipork.
Ideally the steamed omnipork with lotus root should have been ordered but I have already tried the panfried version at Kind Kitchen.
There was also Chiuchow style and Sichuan style patties in the omnipork series.
To be honest, it is better off ordering the steamed ones because they don't have the old oil pan fried taste which is worse if you order the meat version because more people eat meat so the oil is probably stronger as the oil is reused more often.
Anyway, the sweet and sour sauce was really good which complimented the omnipork patty very well and it was like eating pork patty without the smelliness

I love Aladin's Mess because it was the first Indian restaurant I tried in Hong Kong and that was in 200x but at that time I didn't have a camera back then.
All I remember was sitting on the corner table and the restaurant was dim that time and not as bright as now.

The menu was roughly the same as before.
Decided to order exactly what I had on my first visit to take a trip back memory lane to see if it still tastes as good.

Visually, it looked the same especially my favourite sag aloo, the spinach is finely chopped which is different to the sag puree.
Everything was as good as before and the portion of raita was huge and it tasted damn good.
Ordered the Jaljeera because I love cumin and strangely they asked if I wanted syrup in it and  I was like nooooo wayyyyyyy.
The cumin wasn't strong but I like the way they serve the soda separate so you can add it yourself.
Definitely coming back again.

Went here because it was new.
Wanted tea but the Earl Grey was sold out and I didn't fancy the other teas so had the hot chocolate.
The hot chocolate was very strong and there was quite a lot of cocoa powder in it.
The croissant was really good because they used decent cheese.
There was cheese and ham croissant as well but I wasn't sure if they used decent ham so just had the cheese croissant.
The brownie was served cold and it was dense and too sugary for my liking because of the temperature.
Requested to have it heated up and it tasted better as it was softer but it was still too sweet.
