Went here randomly so I didn't read any comments on this place.Had the portobello, feta and spinach wrap.

It didn't look quite right when I got it.
It tasted ok but there was so much spinach leaves in proportion to mushroom and feta but this was not the main issue.
The biggest scam were the mushrooms, it clearly says portobello on the menu, ingredients and receipt but there were none in the wrap.
The mushrooms were crappy Asian Shitaake and Trumpet mushrooms to be precise.
Perhaps the wrap should be called Mixed mushroom wrap if you're not going to put any portobello mushrooms in it.
The overall taste was ok but quite grassy as there was more greens to anything.

I love omnipork so I am trying to try every restaurant that serves it.So far, omnipork is either panfried, steamed or made into meatballs.
At Food Expressions, they had quite a lot of variety at the beginning but the choices have gone down especially at the branch in Central.
I intended to try it in Central but the queue was long as it was lunch time so I gave up.
Finally went again to Central and they only had the omnipork meatballs so I didn't try it.

I don't know why but fate giving me a hard time trying to get a vegetarian meal.
Either the place is closed, or the dish is sold out or the bloody menu has changed or the damn place is noisy or has weird vibes.

Anyway, forgot about Food Expressions for a while and one day I suddenly had an impulse to try the Food Expressions at Kowloon Bay and they had it!!!!
Thankfully, the dish was there and ambiance was ok.

I was elated when I saw the Indian lettuce because they were fresh and luscious!
I rarely see decent healthy veggies being served as most Chinese restaurants serve rotted vegetables.
It was drizzled with a really good soy sauce as well.

The omnipork patty was amazing too topped with tasty spring onions and ginger.
Everything was in perfect harmony and the rice was fragrant too.

I never would have guessed Prohibition was a great place for steaks and drinks.
It is located in the new hotel next to Ocean Park which is right outside the MTR station.
There is a lovely pool beside it.
You are greeted by a bar where you can have drinks before or after dinner or even with your meal.
The drinks are instaworthy and there are more on the menu to be discovered.
As well as steak, there are lots of fab food so it is best to go in big groups and they have long tables to accommodate.
Started with the Scallop Ceviche which was on a bed of refreshing mango lime sauce.
Next was the Lump Crab Cake with (yuzu and cod roe tartar sauce).
A must when having steak, there was so much chunks of crab in it.
The Beer battered prawns with Lime chili sauce were really comforting because of the batter and the fact they look like the sweet and sour prawns you get in English style Chinese takeaways and Chinatown!
I absolutely love pastrami so the Pastrami meat platter was a real treat with pickled pearl onions and refreshing gherkins.
For soup, there was Seafood chowder which was loaded with seafood with  a strong lobster bisque taste.
The moment we were all waiting for had arrived!!!
STEAKS!!
We had the USDA Prime bone-in Ribeye, one was rubbed with 28 days bourbon & oolong tea dry aged, while the other one wasn't.

The aged version was more intense in flavor yet it was juicy and tender.
The Canadian certified angus beef Porterhouse was my personal favourite because you get the tenderloin and strip either side of the bone.
The tenderloin is my favourite part.
The sides we had were mac and cheese, creamy spinach and loaded mashed potatoes which really completes that steakhouse experience.

To finish, we had the Flamed Alaska.
By far this is the best Flamed Alaska because the icecream inside was good especially the pistachio icecream and the meringue on the outside was like thick marshmallow goo.

Will definitely be back for drinks and more beef!

La Famille is a famous for its soft and dreamy Chiffon cakes.
I remember going to their cozy joint in Tai Hang.
They now have more to offer including these pretty jelly cakes with flowers in it.
For Christmas, they have launched three cakes for Christmas.
Each Christmas cake is quite different, personally I prefer something simple so chose the white one which has the signature chiffon cake inside smothered in delicious Hokkaido cream with fresh strawberries.
The cake we had will be available from the 17th but as it was my friends birthday they were able to make this cake.
The taste was as good as expected with the pairing of fluffy chiffon and dreamy cream.

Saw the new dumplings at Flamingo Bloom on social media but they are only available at this branch.Finally got a chance to come here because I was in TST.
Again, there are new drinks on the menu and I missed the melon which I intended to try.
They now have deals with K...K too!

For the dumplings there is a fried version and steamed version in sauce.
Tried both as one is fried.
The fried version comes with Thai Sweet chili sauce and it was good that all the dumplings were not oily.

The star of the show had to be the dumplings in sauce because it made all the flavours come out and you could taste the meat as well.
The sauce was the key that made it so scrummy, especially if you like Sichuan flavours but it was mild so was the garlic which did not overpower the meat.

It was so yummy that I wish I had ordered 12.
Finished with the basic oolong tea with pearls.
I liked the pearls that day because they were nice and al dente with a chew.



Definitely will be lured back as they will come up with something else soon!

I don't often have shabu shabu but went here because I mislead by the Chinese name of this place as a shabu shabu for veggies because of the Chinese name.
When I got there, they had both which was great.
It is all you can eat and starts at $149 depending on which meat you choose.
If you choose seafood or premium beef it costs more.

At the entrance, there is a buffet bar with ingredients for the shabu shabu and they have rice, curries, and desserts as well.
It was good that we went early because there was less people.
I was satisfied with the beef and seafood we selected as they were fresh.
The instant noodles are highly recommended as well as they were special ones from Dolls which not a lot of places use.
For dessert we added $25 for the green tea series which is also all you can eat.
The creamy dessert in the wooden box was the best.
The dumplings were served hot and basically flavoured by the strawberry sauce.
