Visited this place three times separately but decided to bundle all the pictures in one go!I was surprised to see them localize their options for breakfast with fish shaomai and octopus balls.
Since octopus balls was the only option that I haven't tried and you don't often see these octopus balls served elsewhere so got them.
In terms of taste, healthiness and nutrition, the musubis win anyday.
But just tried these balls for fun.
Didn't really like them because they are just made of flour, msg and all that crap.

Also tried the salmon potato salad (also not made by HM), didn't really like it as it was too sweet.
The spam and mayo musubi was as good as always.
Last but not least the dadachamame beans, it was good but I didn't get much beans in this one.

[Review 7037] Healthy Poke @ Peek-A-Poke

Went here because I like the flexibility of building your own poke and they have lots of healthy raw ingredients.
I admire the fact that they do not claim to be authentic but serve Hawaiian inspired POKE.
This joint is located on Haven Street so it is nice and quiet on weekdays.
Decorated with paddles and fish nets which make it a lovely corner in CWB.

Ordered a build your own poke, crab salad and some drinks.
The Pineapple Coco Cooler was served in a tiki tiki glass, it was thick and creamy with a surprising fizz in it.
Couldn't quite taste the pineapple but it was minty.
The Almond smoothie was very filling because it is a meal substitute loaded with almond milk and oat milk and my favourite cinnamon.
Also got the jax coco because the one they had here was fizzy.
My friend had the crab salad as she was on diet.
Here was my poke which was so damn good!!!!!!
It had so much kelp in it and I love kelp!!!!
I also chose tofu and edamame to go with it as it is healthy.
Will definitely be back for more poke bowls with kelp and other choices!!

At MOS CAFE they are now serving Dessert Burgers designed by ABC Cooking Studio so decided to try it.
I didn't really like the bun as the texture was those local buns which are not fluffy.
The chocolate cream and jam was ok.
The funny thing was that they managed to get the bun the wrong way round and use the top as the base and base as the top.

Finished with tea.

Kee Wah Bakery have launched Christmas gifts this year!!!!!
You can either buy them separately or in sets which are even cheaper.
For prices check out the flyers in store.
I liked the Christmas tree tin, Christmas wouldn't be complete without Cinnamon ginger cookies and nougat!
This year they have the chocolate nougat which is moreish.
On the not so sweet side, you can get the cookies which are great for sharing.
For more candies and cookies, there is the other candy box filled with walnut chews and cranberry cookies!!!

[Review 7034] $68 Hotpot deal @ 新森林焗之專門店 New Forest Restaurant

New Forest has been in Hong Kong for years!!! Probably longer than I have been in Hong Kong but all the locations are probably different now.
They are famous for baked rice and other dishes.

Went to the Central Branch on a Sunday and it was quite full.
Unfortunately, I didn't spot the vegetarian options so I went for the hotpots.

The hotpot costs $68 and you get to choose beef/chicken with 3 other sides and then a carbs of noodles, rice or udon.
If you order a second hotpot, the second hotpot costs $38!!!
On average, a hotpot would only cost $53 if you don't order any fancy drinks.

Both hotpots were quite good and you get lots of veggies in the pot even if you didn't order the vegetables in the sides.
You even get restaurant grade instant noodles.

For broths I liked the seafood ink broth which doesn't taste that strong.
Depending on what you choose, the hotpot can be healthy.

Toast stuffed with Taiwanese Pearls

Went here ages ago for the fruit tea drink which I didn't like as it was too syrupy.
Discovered the toast with Taiwanese pearls so decided to try it.
It didn't list the ingredients but I was assuming pearls and condensed milk which would seem a good combination.
The taste was ok but then there was butter in it which I didn't really like as it was sickly.
I managed to find some cheese in it.
