This shop has been here for ages but I don't know if this was the first branch or the one at Kowloon City.
Anyway, I never really bought anything from here because the attitude of the staff are rather off putting.
There are about four shop assistants which all seem to get in the way where ever you try and browse.
Secondly, they never budge which is typical wherever you go shopping in Hong Kong.
There are lots of delicacies and condiments so it's good if you know what you are looking for otherwise expect to be followed about.
Anyway, they had these really good Bruce Cost Ginger Ales which come in lots of flavours.
I got the Jasmine Tea ginger ale.
The cap was really convenient as you can just twist it off without the need for a bottle opener.
I definitely recommend this soda because there are chunks of ginger at the bottom and they use cane sugar as a sweetener which gives it a unique taste that is really palatable.
Overall, I really loved this drink and it had a good fizz.

As they are still in their opening stages, I couldn't get a receipt from them.
Spotted this so decided to try it as I haven't tried their flagship cafe in Kwun Tong.
This could possibly be the first coffee shop excluding the big franchises like SB and PC in Polam.
The cafe was spacious, the service is ok, one was nice one was one strange and the chefs in the kitchen were dressed neatly.
The food menu didn't have English though.
Got the honey and orange latte because they said it was made with fresh orange.
I was wondering if the pairing would work especially with citrus and coffee.
It was quite nice but the orange wasn't as prominent as I had hoped and I did find real pieces of orange in it.
The good thing was that the honey was served separate and watered down so that it is easily mixed when you pour it in.
It would be good if they offered hot chocolate with fresh orange because chocolate and orange always go well together.

$30 for a tub of tofu

Went past and discovered this dessert joint which aroused my interest because of the name Semi Sugar.
To be honest, it was just the typical Chinese dessert menu as well as souffle pancakes and waffles.
The tofu pudding looked photogenic and healthy so I ordered that.
You are given a timer because you have to wait for the tofu to set before you can eat it.
This was my ideal dessert because the sugar and syrup are separate so that you can control how sweet you want it.
The tofu pudding texture was quite silky but had a slightly curdled texture.
I also had the dark chocolate drink so that I could mix it in the pudding.

The Otak Otak Toast stole the show

As a fan of pandan flavoured things, I have been meaning to try this cafe because of the pandan mille crepes.
There are so many flavours for the mille crepe including Earl Grey etc.
I am glad I didn't go earlier because they now have this new Singaporean inspired Otak Otak Toast!
====
Singaporean inspired Otak Otak Toast:
I don't normally order the Otak Otak because it has lemongrass in it but ordered it because it was in the form of a toast so decided to try it.
It basically reminded me of the prawn toasts in the UK but without sesame and replaced with fish.
It was so damn delicious and the lemongrass was subtle.
To me otak otak is basically a South East Asian form of Chinese minced mudcarp paste but laced with spices and lemongrass.
I really enjoyed it because it was boneless and it was deliciously complimented by the eggs.
====
Pandan Mille crepe:
The mille crepe was as good as expected, each layer was filled with fluffy cream with a fragrant pandan flavour.
====
Earl Grey Mille Crepe:
The EG mille crepe was rather disappointing because I couldn't really taste the EG and it just tasted like HK Milk Tea with that horrible bitterness.
Finished with raspberry orange tea which was rather artificial in aroma

The cakes and pastries here are really good depending on what you choose!!!
Got the apple pie and spinach onion scone.
Apple Pie:
0 讚好
This was horrible, it wasn't really apple pie filling in the middle but some weird paste with a few pieces of apple and raisins.
The taste was too sweet.
Next was the scone which I have always wanted to try.
Again it was just sweet and there wasn't any savoury taste to it!

As well as Nooodies, there is another noodle joint in Sai Ying Pun called NOODIES that opened in 2015.
I bet if NOODIES didn't exist, Nooodies would probably have used that name and not needed that extra "o" to be different!
Anyway, both joint offer a choice so that you can try different noodles.
Here they have the tasting choice for $108 which lets you try three different noodles in small portions but unfortunately I came here in the afternoon when it isn't served.
Ordered the Dandan noodles!
I can't quite understand why they needed to camouflage the broth and bowl together.
A different coloured bowl might have made it look much nicer.
Apart from presentation, it was damn delicious and I wish there was a vegan option with omnipork as I don't really eat pork in HK as it is usually not fit for consumption.
The noodles for damn good because the broth was so tasty, it was a right balance of Sichuan spices as well as the nutty broth without being sweet.

Went past and saw the new Pumpkin drink so decided to give it a try.
There is Pumpkin Fresh Milk Black Tea or Pumpkin Fresh Milk Black Tea with Milk cap.
I normally get the Milk cap but these days most of the milk caps/cheese caps stink because they have gone off so decided not to waste money and risk getting one that had gone off.
There is a lot of pumpkin puree at the bottom so you have to mix it together properly.
Despite ordering it less sweet, it was still damn sweet.
The worst thing was the milk had gone off.
