Just like McDonalds, Tong Kee Bao Dim has varying prices depending on location.
To be honest, I confuse this joint easily with Tong Bao Dim.
As I was still hungry I got two vegetarian mushroom veggie buns which turned out to be bigger than I expected.
They cost HKD7.5 each but at some other stores you can expect the buns to range from HKD6.5-7.5.
These buns can be identified by pieces visible carrots which the other buns don't have.
If you're a fan of Shanghainese Veg buns then you will love these as they are much bigger loaded with carrots, black fungus and some other crunchy veg inside.
The only thing I didn't like was the bun as it was sweetened but the texture was fluffy and soft.

Super Super Congee specializes in Congee and noodles obviously but recently they have been serving some different stuff like the Aniseed noodles a while back and now the GuaBaos!!
They had the usual fluffy white ones late last year and I thought they were quite adventurous with the purple potato guabao but then it is all to do with colouring.
ANYWAY BECAREFUL WHAT YOU ORDER AS THE MAIN POSTER SPECIFIES CHICKEN WHILE THE SMALLER MENU SAYS PORK!!!!
Anyway decided to try it at this new location which is well hidden.
The cashier and restaurant are separated so if you didn't walk over to the restaurant area you won't expect there is seating.
I was just trying it for the sake of the bun, I wasn't expecting it to have a decent pork chop inside as meat just isn't fresh in Hong Kong.
The pork chop was dry and chewy as expected.
As for the bun it was like eating your usual fluffy bun except that it was purple in colour!!!
Overall not worth trying but just great for photos!

[Review 7215] Lime mousse cake @ Crostini Bakery & Cafe

As a fan of pandan I have been eyeing this Lime Mousse Pandan cake for a while but the combination was a bit odd just like the Mint Green Tea chocolate bread I had before.
The cake seemed like it had been in the cabinet for a while as the exterior of the cake was very elastic and dry.
The lime flavour was very artificial and overpowered the tiny piece of pandan cake in the middle!
Definitely not worth recommending but Crostini is a nice place to chill out and suited for people who just want to find somewhere to meet clients with no expectations.

Went here for lunch and really regretted it.
For lunch, everything is fixed.
The reason I was not satisfied is that the meats were all dehydrated and not edible hence the reason I don't bother eating meat in Hong Kong.
Quite a waste of money paying for inedible food.
The pork chop was dehydrated with a dry woody texture as well as salty.
The noodles were ok, but just the noodles and broth were palatable.
The broth had pickled vegetables which made it quite appetizing.
The only thing that saved the meal were the drinks.

At a distance I thought this was a Taiwanese bubble tea joint because of the Wolf but it turns out to be a coffee shop and there is another branch in homantin.
As I was having afternoon tea nearby I only ordered a Jasmine tea.
The Jasmine tea was floral and fragrant, a good choice before having some food.
This place is a great place to chill out for a while in the East End of TS

I am so glad there is a KFC in TKL and the best thing is that there is a self service kiosk because the one at Wongtaisin and Hanghau does not have these kiosks so you have to queue at the medieval queue.
Not really a fan of the KFC in Hong Kong as they are standardized to Hongkie style ie CRUNCHY chicken.
Ended up getting the salted egg chicken wings which were crispy covered in rich salted egg yolk with a slight spiciness to it.
The mashed potato was also damn localised as it had black pepper in it.
My last hope was the chicken a la king which is also hongkie style with black pepper in it.

Tapas at boring Hang Hau

Say goodbye to HoYuen Express and Hello to What The Food which serves young and modern Tapas in the boring town of Hanghau.

The grilled cheese caught my eye as I love real grilled cheeses which might be a bit too funky for the area.
Anyway, at this point the Chinese confused me because it says there is chicken or tuna which was not my pure grilled cheese although they were able to do just a plain grilled cheese for it.
As they specialize in tapas I decided to try the croquettes.
The desserts looked delicious as well because they are churros rolled into a circular spiral to sandwich icecream in between.
They even had Pintxos, Tapas, Spanish tortillas etc but as I was having food afterwards I went for the croquettes.
Again the Chinese confused me here as croquettes are normally mashed potato with fish/bacon or whatever but the Chinese was Spanish Fried Milk.
Anyway, there were four different flavours: Sweetcorn. Beetroot, Mushroom and Spinach.
Got the sampler which had all four.
They were very hot so had to wait for it to cool down first.
Decided to try them in the following order because wanted to start with the lighter tasting ones first.
Sweetcorn - Mushroom - Spinach - Beetroot.
The sweetcorn turned to be a bit boring, perhaps it would be tasty with pieces of bacon in it.
But the other three were damn delicious, I can't decide which one was my favourite because they were all good especially the spinach. the beetroot was the strongest in taste as well as the mushroom.
Finished with the churros which were quite nice.
Next time I will try the bikini and the churros icecream sandwich which has a modern touch with Meringue and Okinawa Salt icecream etc.
