I am not sure what the hype is but this shop wouldn't be seen open past 4pm because everything would be sold out.
The hype is almost over since there are no queues now during the weekdays.
The popular choices are the sweet ones but I am more interested in the savoury choices.
Settled for the spring onion miso croissant which was crusted with sesame seeds on the top.
It was a pretty airy croissant so it was hard all the way through.
The miso was quite nice so it was an interesting pairing of Japanese ingredients with the croissant.

There are not many hotpots in Sheungwan or Central so if you were desperate for hotpot then this is a hotpot option.
Being in Sheungwan, the quality should be slightly better.
For me, the broth is the most important thing because I love drinking the broth hence had the matsutake mushroom with black garlic broth.
The broth was really tasty and the pieces of black garlic were sweet.
Sauces are HKD30 per person.

Blood jelly is one of my favourite items and here they had CHICKEN BLOOD which was firm.

It didn't have much flavour so it depended on the broth or sauces.
The meatballs were good but my favourite were the pork balls as they were fresh!

They even had scallop balls as well which was unique.

I don't really like dumplings but the ones here do not contain Chinese leek/chives so they were very tasty.

THE LAST HOTPOT INGREDIENT WAS SIMPLY WEIRD BUT THEN THEY DID HAVE SOME SERIOUSLY WEIRD ONES LIKE CHARSIU BAU BUT THE ONE WE HAD WAS THE CUSTARD BUN AS WE THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE FUN TO DUNK IN SOME SWEET THING INTO THE SAVOURY BROTH.
IF PEOPLE HAD THE SICHUAN BROTH, IT MUST BE STRANGE DUNKING THE CUSTARD.
NEVERTHELESS IT WAS THE FINAL ACT.
AS EXPECTED IT WAS JUST WEIRD.


Finished with a bowl of pumpkin puree, red bean jelly, raspberry and fig.
Might return for the other broths.

M bento is everywhere now!!!
Only went there because friend wanted some drinks.
The cans were in Japanese so chose the green and the blue.
The blue one which looked alcoholic because of the word Sangria was not and just tasted like weird soda.
The green one was obviously matcha but it was still and didn't taste nice because it had a strong tin taste like thos ecans of drink from chine na.

There are so many Thai Restaurants in Hong Kong but this one specializes in Northern Thai Cuisine.
There were some new items on the menu so tried them out.
My favourite item was the fish maw soup.
Not many Thai restaurants serve it so you have to go to Thai Restaurants in Kowloon City for it.

Bearing in mind it is Northern Thai food so the dishes in general are spicier.
I loved the seafood dishes that we ordered because Thai food is not just Pad Thai.

The beef options were pleasing because I had a craving for red meat lately.
The Pha Nheng Oxtail was creamy and spicy which went well with rice.

The Tom Sep Short Rib was really comforting as it was like a beef version of tom yum kung with appetizing tangy tones.

To balance the meat, we had some spicy vegetables.

As a carbs lover, the Stir fried ink spaghetti with Thai Basil was my ultimate favourite as it was the marriage of two of my favourite ingredients.
It was quite spicy but the fragrant basil aroma was just delicious.

For dessert, finished with durian glutinous rice.
You either hate it or love it.

I have always wanted try AHA but didn't make it when they were on Des Voeux Road.
Now they have moved to the end of Wellington Street which is conveniently located on the ground floor.That weekend it was pissing it down with rain in the afternoon and the skies were as dark as night and I happened to be nearby so went here for brunch.

It was so dark that they had the lights on.
The brunch is HKD298 and you get to choose an appetizer and a main.
For the appetizer, had the fried white bait and salad.
The choice for burrata salad was easy but it was hard deciding between crab cake and white bait!!
The Burrata and Watermelon Salad was creamy complemented with refreshing watermelon and heirloom tomatoes.

The whitebait was a must for me because I love fried fish.

Next was the hearty soup which was comforting on a rainy thundery day!

For the mains, had the salmon and beef.
The salmon was pink and delicate and I love the bed of pearl barley that came with it and the silky cauliflower puree.

The Tenderloin was also satisfying as it was perfectly seared on the outside and pink in the middle.

We also got the desserts because there was peanut butter semifreddo which was like a soft cheesecake with a creamy rich peanut butter taste.

My friend had the chia seed pudding which was complimented by oats so it like having breakfast in dessert form.


Overall the brunch was very filling so I was really satisfied.
The staff were really nice and let us sit until the rain died down.

I was attracted here because of the stir fried noodles and fried chicken leg but unfortunately you have to order the set as they don't sell the items a la carte.
The noodles come with a spring roll and red bean dessert which is such an odd combination and I hate these items.
Anyway, it turned out the noodles were too oily so that was a waste.
The Chicken leg comes with annoying Chinese style potato salad and drinks which I don't eat.
Luckily the chicken was really tasty.
It was really different to the fried chicken from other local places because there were some Chinese spices like wahyim which made it delicious and the chicken was springy and not too dry.

Came here after Easter so it was nice and quiet, previously this place used to be a Sichuan Joint.
Lots of restaurants were closed and taking a break from the busy Easter.
Went here because this place had a lot to offer in terms of latte, food and dessert.

There so many lattes to choose from such as beetroot latte, Japanese tea lattes and even turmeric latte.
Then for food, the pork burger was captivating as it is complimented with Japanese pickles which give it a lovely colour contrast as well as taste.
Unfortunately I didn't leave room for dessert otherwise they had some fancy pancakes made with Hojicha or Genmaicha topped with iceream and Japanese dango.

For food, ordered the ginger pork burger, Vegetarian Breakfast and the popcorn chicken with Turmeric Latte, Iced Strawberry shaken tea and Hojicha latte.

Started with the Ginger Pork Burger which was photogenic as well as tasty.
It is different in the sense that they used pink pickled ginger which is tangy and makes the pork appetizing.
As well as ginger there were some julienne cabbage that gave it a nice crunch and the best thing is that the pork was fresh and springy.

You can have it with fries for an extra HKD15 more but we had the popcorn chicken and vegetarian breakfast as well.

I chose the vegetarian breakfast because you get kale, hummus and guacamole as well as sour dough toast.
The thing that made it memorable was their house baked beans which are a mix of the usual beans and chickpeas in a tomato sauce with a twist and that is the THYME herbs according to their staff.
Everything on the plate was delicious especially the beans and sourdough toast.
The salad had a good variety from kale, yellow cherry tomatoes,  red radish and fennel so it wasn't just boring local vegetables.
I believe their hummus is homemade as well.
As there was quite a bit of salad, we had the popcorn chicken with it which was perfectly fried with a spicy coating.
For drinks, my picks were the Turmeric and Hojicha latte.
The turmeric latte at this place was really gentle and they added cinnamon to it which gave it a lovely winter mood which a good sweetness.

If you like teas then Hojicha is recommended.


For cold drinks had the Iced shaken Strawberry tea.

Will definitely be back for the pancakes next time.
