The food at subway is always good but most shops are takeaway only however you will find some dine in ones at CityU etc.
There were two eat in ones at Mody Road and Jaffe Road but they have closed down.
The new location in Central is perfect but smaller than the previous two although the one at HKEXPO offers dine in.
Although it is a new location in CENTRAL, subway was at this address before in 2005. which then got replaced by i-Scream,  G & T Cocktail Parlour and now back to SUBWAY!
I have been meaning to try the new  French chicken with bacon so finally went over Easter when it was quieter but service was crap.

For drinks, you can either have bottomless soda or drinks from the cabinet.

I saw HOT TEA on the menu for HKD16 but strangely it wasn't available when there is a hot beverage dispenser at the back, surely isn't tea just hot water in  a cup with a tea bag?
Anyway resorted to the bottled tea from the fridge so I asked if they had one that is not refrigerated and she couldn't be bothered to look and said no.
My friend ordered and she got impatient as he was asking about the sauces so it really shows how much she wanted to work that day.
Both subs were as good as expected.
I really liked the new French style bacon chicken which tasted a bit like Caesar and ranch mixed together.
As the chicken is already in sauce, I chose the sauces with thought so that it would go with the creamy chicken base.
To summarize I will still again even the service was crap on this visit.

I'm a glutton for choices so the lunch options here were amazing.

This used to be FOVEA but it now Ignis by Linx.

Basically you get to choose any three dishes for HKD158 which includes a soft drink or tea so it is like brunching any day and if you go with a friend you can share it like tapas.

The choices are endless and there is something for everyone, there is a protein selection, salad selection, carbs section and even a dessert section.
So if you had a sweet tooth you could just order three desserts.

It was really difficult to decide because everything was captivating so I went with a friend so that I could order six items.
So that's HKD316 for six dishes and two drinks for two so it works out to be HKD5x per dish and all of them are equally as good as well as pretty.
Before I ordered, the staff was really patient in explaining the dishes so that I was able to choose the best six for my preference.

Here were the items that I chose.

63 deg egg with rosti, ham and cheese toast, squid puntalette, corned beef hash, beetroot tartare and hanger steak (+HKD40)

63 deg egg with rosti:
Chose this because I love egg and rosti especially with the sour cream as it always goes well with rosti.
I love the way they used fresh potatoes and extruded fine strands which gave it a crisp exterior yet soft in the middle with a crunch.
Everything was just delicious together with the delicate egg.

ham and cheese toast:
Who doesn't love a simple ham and cheese toast and the best thing was the ham which was thickly sliced yet it wasn't too salty.

squid puntalette:
Another must order because it was puntalette (bouncy rice shaped pasta) with squid in a creamy sauce that was not too heavy with pieces of squid in it.

corned beef hash:
Corned beef is another comfort food for me, again it was not too salty and I loved the way it is topped with the egg yolk which you mix in to give it that lovely silky texture.

beetroot tartare:
I simply love beetroot and the way it is served in tartare form as it was delicious complimented by the green puree on the side.
Visually attractive and divine.

hanger steak (+HKD40) :
Steak is another must for me especially hanger steak.
It was perfectly meaty and tender as it was cooked medium rare.

Overall, I was really pleased with what I picked, if I come here again I would still pick the same!!!!!
Everything is healthy, instaworthy and all dishes were well plated.

When I left, the staff was really attentive and waited with me until the lift came.
Definitely coming back as everything is so damn delicious.

I am not sure what the hype is but this shop wouldn't be seen open past 4pm because everything would be sold out.
The hype is almost over since there are no queues now during the weekdays.
The popular choices are the sweet ones but I am more interested in the savoury choices.
Settled for the spring onion miso croissant which was crusted with sesame seeds on the top.
It was a pretty airy croissant so it was hard all the way through.
The miso was quite nice so it was an interesting pairing of Japanese ingredients with the croissant.

There are not many hotpots in Sheungwan or Central so if you were desperate for hotpot then this is a hotpot option.
Being in Sheungwan, the quality should be slightly better.
For me, the broth is the most important thing because I love drinking the broth hence had the matsutake mushroom with black garlic broth.
The broth was really tasty and the pieces of black garlic were sweet.
Sauces are HKD30 per person.

Blood jelly is one of my favourite items and here they had CHICKEN BLOOD which was firm.

It didn't have much flavour so it depended on the broth or sauces.
The meatballs were good but my favourite were the pork balls as they were fresh!

They even had scallop balls as well which was unique.

I don't really like dumplings but the ones here do not contain Chinese leek/chives so they were very tasty.

THE LAST HOTPOT INGREDIENT WAS SIMPLY WEIRD BUT THEN THEY DID HAVE SOME SERIOUSLY WEIRD ONES LIKE CHARSIU BAU BUT THE ONE WE HAD WAS THE CUSTARD BUN AS WE THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE FUN TO DUNK IN SOME SWEET THING INTO THE SAVOURY BROTH.
IF PEOPLE HAD THE SICHUAN BROTH, IT MUST BE STRANGE DUNKING THE CUSTARD.
NEVERTHELESS IT WAS THE FINAL ACT.
AS EXPECTED IT WAS JUST WEIRD.


Finished with a bowl of pumpkin puree, red bean jelly, raspberry and fig.
Might return for the other broths.

M bento is everywhere now!!!
Only went there because friend wanted some drinks.
The cans were in Japanese so chose the green and the blue.
The blue one which looked alcoholic because of the word Sangria was not and just tasted like weird soda.
The green one was obviously matcha but it was still and didn't taste nice because it had a strong tin taste like thos ecans of drink from chine na.

There are so many Thai Restaurants in Hong Kong but this one specializes in Northern Thai Cuisine.
There were some new items on the menu so tried them out.
My favourite item was the fish maw soup.
Not many Thai restaurants serve it so you have to go to Thai Restaurants in Kowloon City for it.

Bearing in mind it is Northern Thai food so the dishes in general are spicier.
I loved the seafood dishes that we ordered because Thai food is not just Pad Thai.

The beef options were pleasing because I had a craving for red meat lately.
The Pha Nheng Oxtail was creamy and spicy which went well with rice.

The Tom Sep Short Rib was really comforting as it was like a beef version of tom yum kung with appetizing tangy tones.

As a carbs lover, the Stir fried ink spaghetti with Thai Basil was my ultimate favourite as it was the marriage of two of my favourite ingredients.
It was quite spicy but the fragrant basil aroma was just delicious.

For dessert, finished with durian glutinous rice.
You either hate it or love it.
