Previously this spot used to be Subway but not anymore. It has been replaced with HM~!!!!
I am glad HM is almost everywhere as I love their musubis and side dishes they offer.
This time had the Grilled Silver Conger.
Unfortunately it was a bit sweet.
There were lots of eel inside but it had quite a few bones in it so you have to be careful.
So far, most of the musubis are delicious except for this one and the wasabi.

[Review 7446] Creative dimsums @ 龍門棧 (已結業) Dragon Tann

Dragon Tann is a bit of trek as it is located between CWB and WC.
The advantage is that it is nice and quiet for lunch.
The menu is very creative and changes often.
Unfortunately most of the items I wanted to try were taken off the menu like mapo tofu dumpling and other fancy dimsums.
Luckily the Pan Fried Glutinous Rice with Caviar was still on the menu.
Basically this was chewy glutinous rice that I believe has been deep fried because it is almost crunchy all the way through with a chew in the middle.
You can taste dried scallops within the glutinous rice and it gets it flavour from the caviar.
As well as pan fried glutinous rice with caviar, there was eel which I didn't try as it might have bones.
Next was the Steamed Chinese Yam and Elm Fungus Dumpling.
According to the English description I thought it was vegetarian but there was prawn in it.
It was interesting the skin was pale blue.
Inside the dumpling, there were spring prawns infused with a strong sesame oil.
Apart from the steamer which looked like it had been reused millions of times the dumpling was satisfactory and not too oily on the stomach.
Chicken, fish maw and wolfberries:
Compared to other steamed chicken dimsum, it was not that oily.
The piece of chicken was relatively big with less bones in general.
Underneath the chicken there were at least three big pieces of nutritious mountain yam which was appreciated because other dimsum places tend to put lame vegetables underneath so the portion looks big.
Overall a bit pricey but the environment is nice and quiet so it was worth it.

[Review 7445] The Real Korean Toasts in HK @ Ssoja Toast & Hotdog

The closest I got to K Toast was at Deserve Better in WC which closed down!
The good news is that Ssoja Toast & Hotdog from Korea has set up a joint in Eaton Hotel.
The menu has toast, hot dogs, lattes and smoothies.
Tried the 3 Combo Toast which had ham, egg, and bacon in it.
The ham was thickly sliced and the egg had sweetcorn in it so it was a filling toast.
I found it really sweet especially the dressing.
After reading the article on openrice, it turns out the dressing is made of golden kiwi!
Finished with the blueberry purple potato latte which was an interesting pairing.
It was served in square shaped plastic cup which made it memorable topped with latte art.
Overall quite satisfied.
Will be back for the smoothies and the Hash Brown toast.

Zen is located among the bars and on Staunton Road which makes it stand out serving Japanese food.
I was captivated by their half priced ramen after 2pm.
Originally I was going to get the ramen with eel but then I spotted the eel donburi so got that instead because I love carbs.
It was served on a plate like some other restaurants and there was quite a fair bit of rice underneath that big piece of eel!
The eel was drizzled with sweet sauce which made it appetizing.
Also had the mini roasted sweet potatoes which were sweet and starchy.
Lastly had the grilled Salmon Head, it was delicately grilled.
The skin was crispy while the salmon was silky especially the cheek so it was a satisfying finish.
Will be back for the ramen but I still haven't seen someone try it yet so I don't know which type of ramen they use hence the reason I didn't try it.

[Review 7443] Crazily good @ 瘋狂小面 Crazy Noodles

Been here quite a few times before and decided to revisit.
Prices have gone up but the ordering format is still the same ie you choose noodle sets of your choice.
Ordered a noodle in broth and the famous Chongqing noodles which are topped with chickpeas.
The broth noodle was really good as it comes with meaty and succulent ribs.
The meat came off the ribs nicely and the broth was the right level of spiciness which you get to choose.
As there was quite some broth left, I ordered extra noodles.
The Chonqing noodles was topped with chickpea puree.
Some restaurants serve puree and some serve crispy chickpeas or green peas.
Anyway, it was tastier as the soup didn't dilute it.
For side dishes had the dumplings and Spicy Chicken.
The dumplings were on the sweet side because of the sauce, while the chicken was a bit oily in the sense the oil wasn't that pleasant.
Desserts were basically soothers to the spicy stuff you had.
The clear jelly was my favourite as it is tasteless flavoured by the sweet syrup.

Better than the CWB branch
2019-05-21 66 瀏覽
There are four branches of One Zo, previously tried CWB and the service there was rubbish.
Central was better and the fact that they are competing with the drinks next door.
Pearls are made in house and they have various pearls to choose from like cactus etc.
Got the signature tea with brown sugar and pearls.
In my opinion, it tasted like Hong Kong style milk tea without the bitterness.
There were lots of pearls at the bottom which were quite strong and the brown sugar syrup was fragrant but not too sweet.

Previously tried Shaz in Saiyingpun and now they have a second branch at K11!!!
The menu is much the same.
Since, I have already tried the crepe cakes I went for tea.
The Earl grey was very aromatic and the good thing is that they use loose leaf which gives it a lovely flavour.
Although I only had tea, the staff were really nice and kept refilling the tea with hot water.
