Spotted this pho joint from far away because of its bright yellow decor.
I didn't have any expectations but I got more than I bargained for.
It was different from other pho joints as they had home made sauces.

It was really thoughtful they had a water dispenser because sometimes you just want water.

Started with the signature pho which had everything from beef, beef balls and Vietnamese sausages.
At first, it was just an ordinary bowl of pho with silky flat rice noodles.
After adding the Satay sauce, the taste was greatly enhanced and it just tasted moreish because the sauce had interesting notes of galangal and spices which is their secret.
Next were the chicken feet which were neither sweet or sour but they had a lovely fish sauce seasoning which makes them different and taste better.

Last but not least was the appetizer for four!
There was a good assortment of rolls, prawns, scallop spring rolls, salted egg fish skin and papaya salad.
Finished with the salted lemon and Vietnamese coffee.
Overall I would recommend this place for pho and don't forget sauce.

I love avocado so got the avocado soy milk smoothie.
I bet the staff was happy when I ordered because it meant she could make herself one.
Anyway, the soy milk in the drink tasted really good and enhanced the avocado with the refreshing notes of soy bean.
It wasn't too sweet so it was thick and satisfying.

Tried the famous beancurd rolls with shrimp roe a few years ago and since I was in the area again, I decided to get them again.
The price has increased a bit since then.
The beancurd roll was much better this time and the shrimp roe was evenly distributed.
There were tonnes of shrimp roe which can be seen in the middle.

The prawn roe basically tasted like the dried ones sprinkled on noodles and very fishy too which is why it is there to give flavour to the beancurd sheets.

Also got the beef jerky which was interesting because it had duck liver in it.

It's been ages since I had a decent CREAM TEA.
To be honest, I didn't expect to find it here but it was on the menu.
Let's Jam first started off in Sai Kung as a small cafe and now they have a second branch in Jordan which has been here for quite a while.
Previously tried Sai Kung and the menu was slightly different but the crockery they use is the same for both branches.


They specialize in Jams, Jam sodas and since my last visit, there are now 10 different jams in the range.
Clearly, scones were going to be my pick.
I was quite glad, they turned out to be decent scones.

It came with REAL clotted cream.
For the jam I chose the Pineapple and Salted Egg yolk which had an Asian Twist to it.


The salted egg yolk wasn't that prominent so it didn't really feel weird with the clotted cream, you could only taste the sweetness and the pineapple.
If you miss scones and clotted cream, this is a good place for it with a bonus choice of 10 different jams.


Finished with a proper tea so I was really happy.
They also have toast which has nine different jams on it so if you can't decide which jam to choose, this is also worth choosing.

Previously, this spot used to be HK Post Collection but it is now a Taiwanese joint.

The location is in the middle of CWB and WC so this place is nice and quiet after rush hours.
For food, there are noodles and rices.
Tried the Taiwanese beef bento which is served on a tray.

Ultimately, I would recommend the noodles because of the dark caramel coloured beef broth which is quite intense.
There is a choice of rice vermicelli or noodles.
I am so glad I chose the rice vermicelli because it soaks the broth well hence the vermicelli was really tasty.

I was surprised they had Durian rolls in a Taiwanese joint so tried them.
They were only HKD8 as they were doing a promotion on it.


They were rolls filled with Durian puree and cream so they tasted delicious and natrual.
Finished with the drinks which were the usual Passionfruit green tea and Yuzu Tea.

Discovered this joint a while ago but it was 18:00 so the coffee section was closed.
It is best to go during the week days when it is less busier.
There is also a GOOODS store inside but it seems a no go area as the staff are not welcoming.
I was intending to get some candies but it really wasn't welcoming so I couldn't be arsed to bother to pursue.
Anyway, just grabbed a cup of HKD37 AMAZAKE which is a fermented rice drink.
The smell and taste was a bit strange so I wasn't sure if it was meant to be like that.

Whenever I walk past Marks and Sparks or Pret a Manger, it is always difficult to resist going inside.
This time I ended up eating the Bakewell slice and a chocolate orange cookie.
The cookie didn't have much orange flavour to it but you could slightly taste it which was good as it wasn't too artificial or overwhelming.
The Bakewell slice was so damn comforting because of the fragrant almond aroma and sweet layer of jam at the bottom.
It had a soft chewy texture.

On another visit, I had the freshly baked croissant with tomato and Mozzarella cheese.

It was quite nice but tasted like pizza because of the Mozzarella but personally I think it would taste better if cheddar cheese was used.
