Indeed this place is just a restaurant!

I was captivated by one of the items on the menu called TRANSLATE ERROR because I thought it was amusing.

This dish was pasta with black coloured sweet and sour pork according to the staff.
I actually liked it because it tasted like the signature crispy vinegar chicken at Ootoya Japanese Restaurant.

My friend had the Wagyu but it wasn't what we expected.
We thought it was steak but you had to grill it yourself!
It also comes with sesame chicken wings.


Overall quite a cozy place for dinner and the pasta dish is highly recommended.

Tried to list this on openrice a while ago but it got rejected so I couldn't be arsed to submit it again.
Went here in June when it was scorching.
There are two seats as it is a takeaway with eat in.

I wanted to order the desserts but they were not available.
Had the lamb shorba soup which was super spicy but it was reasonable as Indian food is spicy.
The only complaint was the saltiness.
It was so salty that dipping naan bread in it would do.

This joint has been in TKO for ages and there are always queues and queues of people which is why I haven't tried it until now.
There used to be a joint at Tsz Wan Shan but it closed down.
The drinks they serve are the same as the drinks at Cafe Mikoo in polam so they could be part of the same group.
Despite ordering verbally they misheard my order so ended getting two same noodles and the drink wasn't what I really wanted.
Tried the preserved plum tea which was sweet and sour in taste.

The three cups chicken lacked basil taste.
It was mostly white meat and chicken wings in the pot.

The beef shin noodles were in a super sweet broth served with thick slices of beef shin.

The sides that came with the noodles was tasty especially the tart cucumbers and the tofu was well marinated.

For the spicy one, it was good that they serve the chili oil separately.

For plain teas, they all come with sugar so bare that in mind if you prefer teas sugar free.

Stew is doing very well.
Since its first branch in LCK, there are now three branches.
The new wanchai branch is a bit off the radar from WC or CWB.

Ironically it is near another Chinese soup shop so it has competition however the seating area is bigger and spacious at STEW.

All soups are salt and msg free.
There is salt at the condiments area which can be used if required.

Overall, I was quite impressed with the red dates and the snow fungus soup.
There were so many plump dates and snow fungus in the pot so it had a sweet taste that was soothing.

Overall, I was most impressed with this branch compared to the other two, but then quality should be good during the first few months!

Cafe Deco Pizzeria has been around for ages.
There was a branch at Sheung Wan which  I didn't get to visit.
Previously they were on the 1st floor of elements and now they have moved to the 2nd floor next to the cinema.

When I arrived, I was greeted with a gelato cabinet which happened to be my favourite gelato brand 2/3 Dolci.
Their pistachio gelato is highly recommended.

As I was early, I had the salted caramel milkshake which is made with 2 scoops of 2/3 Dolci gelato.

Crostini plate:
This was a nice light assortment of crab and salmon on crostini.

Steak Tartare:
The steak tartare is highly recommended as there was a nice balanced taste with tart pickles.

Roasted Octopus:
Not what I expect to find on the menu but I liked it because of the Mediterranean twist with olives etc.

Pork cheeks cavatalli:
It was a creative combination of olives which was really moreish as the sauce was tangy and just the thing for summer.


From the choice of 10 pizzas, we reduced it down to two!
The Japanese free range egg with smoked tuna belly pizza and the M6 Wagyu beef and prawn.

The tuna belly pizza was really tasty enhanced by the egg and Shichimi oil which gives it a spicy exotic flare.

Desserts are a must and they have the latest souffle pancakes but my favourite was the cheesecake which was presented in a deconstructed way wrapped in fruit jelly.

The fighting flavours:
Salted caramel mousse with candied peanuts.

Went here as I was stuck in CWB.
Although it is a Korean Restaurant I felt that the dishes were Japanese inspired.
There was omurice, pork katsu curry and egg sandwich!

The curry sauce was super spicy and the pork cutlet was average.

If there wasn't a fried sausage and seaweed spring rolls it would look Japanese.

For the omurice, there were a choices of sauces.
Thankfully I chose the beef sauce which was basically beef gravy.

Beneath it was fried rice.

The egg sandwich was instaworthy but it was a dessert sandwich in my opinion as it was really sweet,

Finished with the cream roll which was the star of the show.

The tea which was supposed to be served in a pot was not as the pots have not arrive yet.

Got the mini moon cakes from Peninsula boutique.

The pastry was very buttery, and when the packet was opened, you could smell the butter from the pastry.

The pastry was about 4mm thick and tasted like the Taiwanese pineapple roll pastry, but softer.

The egg custard in the middle was warm orange in colour, and the texture was dense like cheesecake.
In terms of taste, I found it too sweet and sugary.
It did not taste as good as the first time I tried it in 2012 because it was just sugary and chalky.
