Previously this spot used to be MATHY which whipped up decent and delicious Chinese dishes.Unfortunately it closed and it got replaced by some pub which also closed.
Now it is Tak Cheung which seems to have been quite successful even though their dishes don't appeal to me when I walk past.
Walked past one day and saw Lemon Chicken which is something I would try so went in.

When it came, the sauce had curdled like lemon curd looking like failed custard.

In terms of taste, I loved the sauce as it was very acidic but I wouldn't describe it as lemon though.
It was a mix of orange and lemon.

The chicken was hard and dry but then then I didn't have any expectations because meat in Hong Kong is not edible.

Previously tried Ten One tea at TST when it was a pop up stall and now they are at the WC Star Ferry for good.

I was getting the ferry so Tea One was on my path and they were also giving away drinks subject to some conditions!
Got the rose and lemon honey which was refreshing on a hot day.
It wasn't too sweet balanced by the lemon with a lovely rosy fragrance.

Will be back for other cold brew teas and the colourful boba.

A few years ago tried Pizza Max at Woosung Street and the food there was amazing.Unfortunately it closed so when I saw Pizza Max Bistro I decided to give it a try.

They serve pizzas, curries and Nepalese fare just like the Pizza Max.
Went for late lunch so it was nice and quiet.
Lunch sets were available.
Ordered the fried rice because Indian/Nepalese fried rice always tastes good because of the spices and it is cooked in a different way.
0 讚好
For lunch, all mains come with soup and a drink.
The other good pick is the Tandoori chicken which is served like roast chicken marinated in Tandoori Spices.

I like it the way you get butter sauce gravy so you get the best of both worlds with Tandoori and Butter Chicken!

Overall not bad for lunch under HKD100 including drinks and soup.
Pizza and Pastas are also available under the lunch sets.

It seems that Sheng Mian is from Taiwan according to the media but photos of the food look very different. The menu offers noodles and the usual Taiwanese fare.

I was curious of the Spicy noodles because photos showed that it looked like Laksa and Pork broth with Spicy oil over it so I ordered this item.
For noodles you get a choice of knife cut noodles, white noodles etc.
When it came, it looked like the other photos that people had here.
The beef slices were similar to the ones you get in Pho noodles, ie semi raw.
You could see that some of the beef was visually dry without trying.
Although the beef could have been better the noodles were fantastic, it was more like Japanese ramen!
Also had plain rice with spicy tofu.
The rice was hard and clumped together that you could use chopsticks to pick up the rice in the bowl.
The star of the show was surprisingly the Taiwanese roti which fellow foodies said were too sweet.
Inside it was taro mash, thin layer of fried egg and sticky mochi.
As the taro mash was quite sweet, I scraped some away and the whole thing was so damn good because the roti tasted like mille feuille pastry filled with sticky mochi.

Unfortunately, the tea would have been good but it was sweetened.
Most cold brews are not sweetened but for some bizarre reason they were sweetened here which I didn't expect or perhaps its MK!

Finished with the Grass Jelly dessert which was instaworthy but unfortunately it was canned grass jelly and you can even see the edge of the can.

Lai Chi Kok is thriving and more restaurants are popping up.
It used to be grubby Chinese restaurants but look at the choice now on the Castle Peak side as well as the D2 side.
Went to Wai wai wai which is a young and hip cafe on the corner.
The menu had a good spread of Malaysian dishes and Taiwanese drinks.
Settled for the Hainan Chicken which came with lettuce.
The chicken was lean and firm complemented by the three usual sauces.
As well as the chicken, the rice was a winner as each grain of rice was fluffy and fragrant without being too oily.
For drinks, finished with the lemon aiyu and avocado milkshake.
Both were quite good especially the avocado milkshake which was thick and creamy.
If I do go again, I plain to try the Taiwanese sugar cane which intrigues me how Taiwanese the sugarcane can be.

There are so many branches of Ocean Empire congee but the quality is different at different branches.
For fried noodles, it is good that most branches serve it hot but tried the Sichuan stir fried noodles here and it was bad.
Previously tried the noodles at North Point and it was tasty with Sichuan spices but at this branch they used grounded pepper which is not how it was meant to taste.
On another visit, had the fried noodles which were edible.

I was delighted to see Hana Musubi at the Star Ferry pier.
Definitely convenient and quick to satisfy your hunger when travelling on the ferry.
As I was at the hkcec all day I got three.
The plum was excellent as the plum in the middle is acidic and salty which goes with the rice.
The other two were filling with some chew because of the grains.
I felt that the one with seaweed wrap was easier to eat especially if you are standing up as the mixed grains doesn't hold together well.
