Previously this mall used to be a Karoake hang out, but now it has been converted into an underground-dining mall.
There are several Japanese restaurants and Tutti Frutti, a Froyo joint.
Tutti Frutti was first opened at Siu Sai Wan, but when I went I did not try it.
I found it similar to Tuttimelon especially the brightly coloured plastic spoons, which also reminds me of spoons for feeding babies. However the spoon at TuttiMelon is meant to be biodegradable.
The toppings were the usual eg fruit, sweets etc. The froyo flavours that day were: Guava, Yakult, Strawberry, Lychee, Chocolate, Original.
I tried the lychee, chocolate and Original.
As with most froyo’s the fruity ones did not have yogurt taste, and the chocolate one just tasted like chocolate without the yogurt taste.
The Original one however surprised me, it had the taste of natural yogurt and wasn’t too sweet.
I think I will be back for more Original as you can control the amount of yogurt you put in your bowl, although those odd cents are annoying when you pay by weight.
For toppings, I thought I saw some cherries, but they turned out to be grapes, so I only got Jelly for the toppings.
I couldn’t find my camera, so ended up taking the picture after I nearly finished.
It was quite amusing from the TV show, because a staff was interviewed from Yogo, and she said Froyo originated from England, which is not true. Froyo actually come from NEW ENGLAND which is in the STATES!

[Review 1155] Oily Curry Chicken Puff @ Delifrance
08/06/2011
Délifrance (已結業)
灣仔告士打道80號地下
G/F, 80 Gloucester Rd,, Wan Chai
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/oily-chicken-curry-puff-e2174717
Delifrance looked empty so I went in to get some savory pastry, however when I went to pay there was a long queue.
The guy at the till is the same one that worked there a few years ago.
I was tempted to get the cheese puff, however Delifrance in Hong Kong is localized, a lot cheese of the products and savory items are made sweet, so I got the curry chicken puff, because you cant go wrong with that.
The puff was oilier than it looked as the oil went through the thick brown bag.
Overall the puff was quite nice, flaky on the outside with curry chicken filling in the inside that was not too spicy.

[Review 1154] Spicy Chocolate @ Royce' Chocolate

I like chocolate but Hong Kong just isn't the place for chocolates as the it always melts because of the hot climate hence winter is a better time to try more selections at Royce's chocolate.
Tried a chocolate thin which is spicy however the spiciness wasn't that prominent or made any impact but the chocolate texture was nice and smooth.

[Review 1153] Chicken and cheese sandwich @ 肯德基家鄉雞 (KFC) Kentucky Fried Chicken

Shop F28, Phase 1, Telford Plaza, 33 Wai Yip Street, Kowloon Bay
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/chicken-and-cheese-sandwich-e2174210
The chicken and cheese toasted sandwich is nice, but not as big as shown in their product picture.
The chicken in the sandwich is about 5mm in thickness, which is white meat that isnt tough.
The sandwich also contains a slice of cheese and some white salad cream.
The salad cream ruined it, because it was sweet.
I didn't appreciate how the toast was buttered inside and on the outside.
There is so much butter you can see it on the outside.

[Review 1152] Dim Sim dinner at the heart of Ladies Market @ 點心棧

點心棧
旺角通菜街23號地下
G/F, 23 Tung Choi Street, Mong Kok
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/dim-sum-for-dinner-at-the-heart-of-ladies-market-e2174208
Always lost in MK as to what to eat, so came here for a dim sum dinner.
It is situated in the middle of ladies market, where all the tourists are, but surprisingly there is no English on the menu.
Not sure if the food here was considered cheap or expensive, but usually I find the quality of expensive dimsum the normal quality you get in UK so for super quality I would need to go to a super expensive restaurant .
I am not the only expat that has this problem with finding good local food in a local place, quite a shame actually that a place cant serve good local food!
There were about seven items crossed off on the list because they were not available!
Ordered the following:
Crispy savoury wasabi meat croquette
This was different to how I expected it to be. I visualised a croquette with creamy light green sauce inside.
The first one I tried had no wasabi taste, the second one I tried, I found a big lump, but no wasabi taste at all.
chicken feet in vinegar
The vinegar is too sweet and not that savoury.
It was garnished with lots of coriander.
The vinegar sauce for this dish was very generous!
If it hadnt taste so sweet, I would have used the remaining vinegar to dip other stuff.
rice with spare ribs and chicken feet
There was nothing spectacular about it, the rice and meat was just ok.
chicken feet in XO sauce
usually this is served in black bean sauce or abalone, but this place uses XO.
The XO sauce was faint, however the garlic was strong.
It was slightly spicy, but if you didnt know it was XO sauce, it just tastes like the normal ones.
prawn rice rolls
Nothing special, the prawns were not evenly distributed.
Luckily the waitor was generous with the soy sauce because it was bland.
soup dumpling with abalone
The pork in this wasnt that fresh, but did find a whole mini abalone as stated.
beancurd rolls in soup
Again the pork in this was not that fresh, and it was oily.

[Review 1151] Fish Burger @ MOS Burger

MOS Burger
將軍澳坑口重華路8號東港城1樓161-162號舖

https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/fish-burger-mos-e2174107
The fish burger at MOS is slightly sweeter than the other fish burgers elsewhere.
The mayonnaise used in the fish burger at freshness is more refreshing.
All the buns for the fish burgers do not have sesame on top except for the one at Burger King.
Anyway the cheese is generous at MOS you get a full slice, however the fish is slightly bland.

[Review 1150] Meat mountain that resembles the one at Tai hang @ 大快活 Fairwood

https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/meat-mountain-that-resembles-the-dish-at-tai-hang-e2174106
The steamed meat patty here resembles the famous meat patty at Tai Hang.
Although I havent tried the one at Tai Hang, I do not have any expectations for it.
I just tried it for fun because the appearance looks like the meat patty at Tai Hang.
The Chinese dishes here are in response to the Farmhouse dishes at Maxim's.
Same as Maxim's, the set comes with soup, drink and rice.
The meat patty was a mass lump shaped like a mini hill with a salted egg yolk placed on top.
For those who do not know or havent seen the meat patty at Tai Hang will be wowed by it!
The meat patty was on a bed of sliced courgettes, I really liked how it was steamed, because the patty didnt stick to the plate, and the meat juice from the patty was at the bottom of the dish and soaked by the courgettes.
The texture of the meat patty was quite firm, not as soft as the good quality ones.
