This is an old review that I nearly forgot to write, but anyway here it is.
In Hong Kong, I do not really like the localised pizza, even with pizza at Pizza hut it has been localised.
The lasagna at Hong Kong's pizza hut is weird, it contains mashed potatoes which you wont find in the pizza hut in UK!
The localized pizzas in hong kong are usually topped with tasteless stringy mozzarella and cherry tomatoes.
Cheesy 6 stood out, because it had 6 different cheeses with slices of tomato and chives.
In the cheesy 6 series, there were three flavours, cheesy 6, cheesy 6 with sliced tomatoes and olive and cheesy 6 with ham and pineapple.
I was tempted to try the plain cheesy 6 but in the end I chose the one with sliced tomatoes and prawns because with proper cheese, the tomatoes go well with it.
I had this pizza twice and both times they were nice, however this time it was over cooked and the cheese got crispy.
It also depends on the chef and how evenly the chef distributes the toppings too, in this case the prawns were all on the centre of the pizza.
The taste of the pizza was nice and intense, and the tomato balanced it out, the cream cheese was very appropriate with the crust.
I loved the super thin chives, I wish there was more!
It was nice having a strong cheesy pizza made of six cheeses, but it was hard trying to taste each of the cheese apart from the cream cheese.
It would be cool if they gave out those boxes with the sample of the six difference cheeses that were given in their promotion to food reviewers and companies.
Anyway, if they had this pizza again, perhaps they could make it like the four seasons pizza, different cheeses on different slices so each cheese could be tasted.
The six cheeses were Monterey jack, romano, cheddar, cream cheese, mozzarella and parmesan.

Monterey Jack is an American semi-hard cheese made using cow's milk with a low content of tyramine, an organic compound thought to be associated with headaches, it is frequently recommended as one of the few cheeses that is safe to eat for migraine sufferers.

Romano cheese is a type of cheese that is very hard, salty and sharp.
It is usually grated and is different from normal cheeses because it requires more milk per pound, most water being lost in the creation process.
True romano cheese is made from sheep's milk (pecorino romano) or goat's milk (caprino romano), though mass produced versions, as in the United States, are often made from cow's milk (vacchino romano). Pecorino romano is sharp and tangy. Caprino romano, the goat's milk version, has an extremely sharp taste. Vacchino romano is very mild in taste. Most of the romano cheeses made in the United States are made from cow's milk or with a mix of cow's milk and either sheep or goat milk.
Romano cheese is made by a special method called "rummaging curd" which involves draining the curd quickly after molding. The surface is then pierced slightly before the cheese is salted. The cheese should age for five months before eating, and if the cheese is to be grated. Romano cheese has a fat content of 27%, and a water content of 32%.
Romano is named after Rome, where it has been made for over two thousand years, originally in the region of Latium. It is one of the oldest Italian cheeses.

Cheddar
Cheddar cheese is a relatively hard, yellow to off-white, and sometimes sharp-tasting cheese originally made in the English village of Cheddar in Somerset.
__________________________
mozarella the term mozzarella is used for several kinds of Italian cheeses that are made using spinning and then cutting (hence the name, as the Italian verb mozzare means "to cut.
Fresh mozzarella is generally white, but may vary seasonally to slightly yellow depending on the animal's diet. It is a semi-soft cheese.

parmesan known as Parmigiano-Reggiano is a hard granular cheese, cooked but not pressed, named after the producing areas near Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, and Bologna (all in Emilia-Romagna), and Mantova (in Lombardia), Italy. Under Italian law only cheese produced in these provinces may be labelled "Parmigiano-Reggiano", while European law classifies the name as a protected designation of origin. It is informally known as the "king of cheese."
Parmigiano is the Italian adjective for Parma. Reggiano is the Italian adjective for Reggio Emilia. Parmesan is the French-language name for it and also serves as the informal term for the cheese in the English language. The name Parmesan is also used for cheeses which imitate Parmigiano-Reggiano, with phrases such as Italian hard cheese adopted to skirt legal constraints. The closest legitimate Italian cheese to Parmigiano-Reggiano is Grana Padano.

cream cheese is a soft, mild-tasting, white cheese, defined by the US Department of Agriculture as containing at least 33% milkfat (as marketed) with a moisture content of not more than 55%, and a pH range of 4.4 to 4.9.

[Review 1162] Choco fruit drink Part 2 (Choco-melon) @ 許留山 Hui Lau Shan (將軍澳)

Previously tried the strawberry chocolate drink which was the best, the banana one would be second best, but decided to try the choco-melon before that.
This branch is newly opened and is opposite the sushi take-away joint.
For beverages it is competing with Gung Cha drinks nearby, and as a dessert shop, it is competing with Chung's nearby.
As expected this drink did not taste as good as the strawberry one I tried first, partly because of the fruit combination and partly to do with the chocolate.
I mean who combines melon and chocolate, only the Chinese do and they weirdly give you melon and watermelon for chocolate fondues!
The strawberry one I had at Po-Lam was much better, the chocolate was silky and not powdery like this one.
The one at Po-Lam was more slushy, but the one here had a milkier taste.
The only difference is that the one at Po-Lam was drunk straight away, and this one was not, so the ice in it may have melted.
The chocolate curls given here were not as much as the Po_Lam branch.
Next I am going to try Choco-Banana, which should be good because banana and chocolate always go well together, hopefully the proportion of cocoa powder will be less.

[Review 1161] Taro Cloth towel style edible Swiss roll @ 聖安娜餅屋 Saint Honore Cake Shop

https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/taro-swiss-roll-edible-cloth-towel-saint-honore-e2175558
The eggs tarts from Saint Honore are unique, the rest in Hong Kong are round, the ones at St Honore are oval shaped.
The egg tarts have the biscuit base crust.
The taro swiss roll was interesting, because its Chinese name was "mo gun darn guen" which means rolled cloth swiss roll.
Its appearance does look similar to a piece of rolled cloth.
Sometimes the Chinese swiss rolls can look different, because when the thin layer of sponge cake is baked, the exposed side is rolled on the outside giving it a smooth texture finish, however some bakeries in Hong Kong like to roll the exposed side on the inside, leaving the porous surface on the outside making it look like cloth.
The taro swiss roll I got was lilac in colour, not as purple as the purple on the plastic bag.
The taro sponge tasted nice, but the cream inside it was disgusting, the usual salted chinese cream, which is quite disgusting, the taste of sweet sponge along with salty buttercream.

Didnt want any noodles, so just ordered their famous spring rolls, assuming it would be served in soup.
This was my second visit to this branch, the first time I dined in, I ordered the same food as well.
I don't know if its just me, but the lady at the till, I didn't get what she is saying and she dosnt seem to get what I wanted to order.
Anyway despite the no communication, the service is pretty fast!
Within a flash, the kitchen served me my rolls!
It was a shock, because it was in a bag! I was expecting it to be in soup.
Last time I dined here, it was in soup.
They were not even reheated!
I asked how they were meant to be eaten, she just said "just like that and they were still warm".
It's friggin summer, of course they are still warm, she got them from the tray outside not as if they were from the refrigerator~
I had a feeling I would be getting diarhea after eating them, and I did!
This is why I am so slim, thanks to food poisoning in HK!

[Review 1159] Not as good as expected @ 老苔目

I did not use any groupon vouchers, hence this was probably why it was easy to get seated. The food was paid at full price.
Anyway, I have always wanted to try this place for the famous melt in your mouth noodles (maai toi muk).
I ordered those noodles along with fried tofu with sauce (chinese description five tastes), fried prawn rolls and the seaweed soup.
I wanted to order another bowl of "new bamboo vermicelli" (sun jook mai fun) as seen on other reviews but when I asked for it the waitress didnt know what the sun jook mai fun was!
She couldn't even find it on the menu! But I found that really pathetic especially for the noodles they should ask you which type of noodles you want!.
With staff that have no knowledge on their food, it just turns revenue away.
But anyway that noodle was available, because a table nearby changed their noodles to the sun jook and that waiter understood.
Their current menu on Openrice is not up to date at all, I wanted to order the 腐乳炆腐皮 but that had been discontinued~
I was so looking forward to that especially fermented tofu and tofu together!
Maai toi muk:
These were fat translucent noodles in soup, similar to pin noodles but softer.
They are like rice thread noodles fried when they are uncooked and then boiled.
The taste of rice in the noodles was not apparent like the others have mentioned.
The texture of the noodles were slightly foamy just like E-fu noodles.
Fried Tofu:
These were tasteless, the sauce that came with it, was meant to be ginger, but it actually tasted like washing up liquid.
Prawn rolls:
These probably tasted the most normal out of all that I ordered, however it was fatty with pork fat.
I could not find any glass vermicelli as shown on other reviews.
Seaweed soup:
This was the most disappointing, the real dish and the product picture looked so different.
The soup in the product picture looked thicker. There was no miso taste at all, or maybe it could be a translation error.
The chinese name was seaweed soup, and the english name was miso soup.
But then the product picture looks like miso soup~!
Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes, because this shop is a subsidiary of AY-TU flour rice noodles and Taro Store (seenwuting) so it cant be that bad.
However if there is a next time, I really want to try the 蔭豉蚵, which is meant to be oysters, fermented black beans and tofu, satay mutton, squid cooked with thai basil and red rice yeast and preserved beancurd sauce with chicken.
In conclusion, I found the menu very confusing, the English on the menu was weird!

Same as the recent review below mine on openrice, I had the same confusing experience with this Café/restaurant.
I had no intention of trying this place, but came here randomly.
I was attracted by their bakery section, which reminded me of Das Gute.
Anyway, I assumed you could get products from their bakery and order drinks to drink there, but the bakery and dining section are TOTALLY independent of each other.
I think they should have an OBVIOUS partition that both places are separate.
So in the end, I only sat down for a drink.
On the drinks menu, there were teas, coffees and cooler, so I chose a Lime soda.
To my disappointment it was just Sprite.
I could have got sprite anywhere instead of having it here!
Later I checked openrice and found that this was the only branch in HK, which is surprising, and someone also had the same confusing experience!
Maybe next time I will just buy bakery products instead.

I got the kiwi juice, but it was syrupy and diluted, yet it still managed to be thick.
The sandwich was ok, the bacon managed to keep crisp inside.
