This restaurant is situated in a newly built building at the end of Hau Fook road alley which is hard to miss.

It gives a comfortable dining experience.

The price range of their noodles are around $68 dollars with extra service charge on top.
The noodles come with a tiny side dish to accompany the noodles, that day it was spinach.

Basically there are five different soup bases to choose from: pork bone, miso, spicy, salted and soya.

In the previous reviews, there seem to be an order sheet similar to Butao where you can choose your noodle texture to be hard or soft.
But they didnt seem to have it that day.
Anyway ordered noodles in salted soup and the pork bone.

When the pork bone soup was served, you could see how thick it was.
The salted soup wasnt as good as the pork bone one, but the toppings were interesting, it had dried sakura shrimps and dried scallops.
I liked the broths served at this place. however the noodles were were not as nice as Butao even though they where thin.
I never liked Ramen before, but Butao has made me try other ramen places.

Overall the pork broth soup here was the best, but I have only tried the black king and green king at Butao, so I can't compare it with that.
However I did try the pork bone soup at Hide Chan which was also nice, but it tasted better here because I loved how viscous it was and how sticky it was.

[Review 1172] HLS Choco-series Part 1 (Choco-strawberry) @ 許留山 Hui Lau Shan Healthy Dessert

Hui Lau Shan is getting impressive these days, it used to be boring mango and Chinese fruit desserts.

After discovering I could request for drinks to be less sweet, the drinks became nicer, and the last time I had HLS was the chocolate fondue.
It was nice to have chocolate fondue elsewhere rather than at a western dessert house.

Again, saw this chocolate drink which is unusual for HLS, quite different to its style.
This time a chocolate beverage!
The good thing about HLS is that the drink is guaranteed to contain real fruit rather than fruit syrups or essences.

After I tried all three flavours, I found that it tasted different in different branches, also the pricing was different!
In conclusion, the HLS at MetroCity is the best for the choco-series.
The other two at Hang Hau and Wanchai tasted like slushy blended ice milo with a powdery chocolate taste!
From the other two reviews, the photo shows that the chocolate is not as smooth as this one.

After trying the melon and banana from those branches I forgot how good it tasted, but when I went back to MetroCity, the taste was totally different.
The chocolate drink there is much smoother and velvety. The chocolate taste is extremely creamy and the texture is a bit like McDonalds chocolate shake with a significant amount of blended fruit.
The chocolate tasted like blended chocolate ice-cream and NOT like chocolate powder milkshake.

If you do go want to try the choco series and happen to be in MetroCity, here is the place to try, do not bother with other HLS branches because the proportions they use in blending the drink may be different, also the price could be $32.

Came here a long time ago when it was closed due to some internal operations.

Anyway, finally came on a day when it was open.

The flavours they have now are much better, and there are ten different flavours, so there must be one of your desire.

The ten flavours that day were:
Honeydew Melon
Mixed berries
Chocolate
Honey and Jasmine
Ginger and Honey
Original
Yakult
Mango
Green Tea
Pina Colada

The flavours I tried were: honeydew, chocolate, honey and jasmine, honey and ginger, original, and pinacolada.

The ones that had a really strong taste were honeydew, chocolate, honey and ginger.
Pinacolada was the best, it tasted like Yoplait's fromage frais yogurt.
The original tasted like yakult which was disappointing because they already had a flavour for Yakult, so what is the point of having two flavours that taste similar?

There were lots of toppings but I purely wanted to try the yogurts, so maybe next time as I want to try the yogurt chips.
Hopefully on my next visit the flavours will all be different so I can try other flavours.

[Review 1170] A big hole expected just like the previous reviews @ RazzleBerry (尖沙咀)

I decided to try this froyo place because previous reviews have mentioned how sour the froyo was.
As well as that, a lot of pictures from the reviews showed a big hole in the yogurt.
They should change their name from Razzleberry to Holeberry.
Anyway, when I got there, I wanted to get the chocolate one and the original, but they did not let people try samples.

This is a real revenue buster, especially I was going to get both.
So in the end I only got the original.

As expected when I was handed over the cup of froyo, you could feel how light it was because the froyo is only on the side of the bowl and then swirled in the centre to cover the hole!

The froyo did taste sour, but not the usual yogurt sour, the froyo was very icy as well.
The spoon that came with it was flimsy, long and thin.
It felt like it was going to snap every time I used it.

Overall I felt the yogurt here was so distinct, it tasted different to all other yogurts in HK, but the thing it tasted like the most was Sugus 瑞士糖's blue one.
I think the blue one is meant to be the pineapple flavour.

Forgot to bring a camera, hence I need to be more descriptive than usual~

Ordered Fish and Chips.

The fish and chips were served with minted peas, tartar sauce.
The peas were mixed with partial mint leave pieces that looked like peas with herbs in it.
The chips were hand cut but on the menu there were a choice of shoestring fries or the thick cut.
The batter to the fish had herbs in it, and it was not too crunchy but it was slightly too salty.
The fish was frozen fish, but it was tender and moist.

Carnegies now post their weekly menu online so you can see their menu in advance

[Review 1168] Taro mousse drink @ 日出茶太 Tea Time House

Had no intention of trying drinks here before because nothing interested me until I saw the poster of this mousse drink.
It was Taro mousse.
The poster shows that it has cream on top similar to Gung Cha.
When I got my drink, the amount of cream was more generous than GC, it was about an inch thick.
Perhaps the cream was their idea of mousse.
Anyway I tasted the mousse, it had some taro and coconut flavouring, it was thicker and nice than the salty one at GC.
The cream and drink was cleverly separated by ice-cubes, until you decide to mix it together.
I tried the purple part of the drink, the texture was not like mousse, but it was interesting because it contained lots of taro.
It is similar to the "sau gum heung wu" at ShareTea that also contains taro pieces in it.

[Review 1167] Choco-Banana Part 3 - $3 dollar price discrepancy! @ 許留山 Hui Lau Shan Healthy Dessert

After trying the choco-strawberry and choco-melon drinks, I got the choco banana from this branch to try.

There was a price difference from the two other stores, both Hang Hau and the Po Lam branch cost $29 per cup, but here the choco-series cost $32!
If you check my choco-melon review, the photo shows that it only cost $29 per cup!~

picture that shows it cost $29 per cup

Anyway, I ordered two, the choco banana and choco strawberry to compare the strawberry one at this branch with the Po Lam one.

However when both drinks were made, the drinks where not consistent, there was more chocolate powder in the choco-strawberry than the choco-banana, and the colour of the choco strawberry was evidently darker!
It was even more evident whilst both blenders were side by side, you could see the colour difference.

To my dismay, both of them at a more expensive price than the previous branches did not taste as good at the one at Po Lam.
There was too much chocolate that it was powdery and there was not enough strawberries or banana in it.
It was just like drinking a slushy chocolate smoothie.
Nothing near the amazing choco-strawberry drink at Po Lam.
