Reformatted my phone by accident hence the small pictures because I was only able to retrieve them partially by getting a screen cap of the thumbnails.
Before the doors opened, there was already a queue.

Managed to get a seat in the corner and the staff were really friendly.
As the joint is quite small, they have a hook for your bags and they push your stool seats into the tiny bar tables.

For ramen, I tried the pork broth with fish which was really nice and the ramen was tasty because it hung the thick broth well.
On the side, there was fish powder which you gradually add in to get a stronger fish flavour.
There was so much ramen in the standard bowl so if your not a big eater you can ask for less.

I used to assume McDelivery was only available from lunch to midnight but when I found out that they deliver breakfast too, I decided to order breakfast because the queues are always long at McDonalds.

Fish muffin:

Tried the fish muffin which was new.
It is basically the same as the filet-o-fish but in a muffin.

It was really nice because the muffin was chewy and dusted with a delicious maize powder.
The fish muffin was good but there was not enough tartar sauce and not enough cheese which gives it a salty flavour.

Breakfast set:

I got this because of the scrambled eggs with mushrooms and the rashers of bacon.
The scrambled eggs were disappointing because the mushrooms did not have any flavour and the bacon was dry and hard.

I don't normally have breakfast but my colleague was in the area and told me there was a free muffin/bagel/toast/scone when you buy a drink at Dolci2/3 from now until 14th of October.
I decided to get two sets of breakfast for my afternoon tea so I requested for the tea not to be made and got the teabags to make the teas later.

Scone:


The scone was good because it was not too buttery and it was still moist after I heated it up.

After spreading jam on it, the taste was not so plain but it would be great if there was cream too.

It had chunky bits of apple but I found it a bit dense and sweet.

Peony tea:


It was the first time I tried Peony tea and it was fragrant with a grassy aftertaste.

Food is cheap compared to others in the area but unfortunately the roast pork tasted a bit off and the texture was mushy.
The egg looked like swiss cheese, but it was a preserved salted egg which was probably safe to eat.

Came accross this interesting old mall while I was in the area.
Initially I thought it was just a mall selling mobile phone accessories and clothes but at the far corner I found this really old style snack joint.

Stopped by and tried instant noodles in mock sharks fin soup.

When I ate it, the noodles reminded me of some Indonesian pot noodle because the broth was as thick as that.
The instant noodles were a bit foamy for my liking because it was the Indonesian brand which has that texture.
Anyway, the noodles were quite likeable because the broth was not that salty and it probably would have tasted better if I added vinegar.
It was fun slurping the noodles in viscous broth which makes it similar the British pot noodles.
I definitely would like to try it again and eat it faster because the soup goes runny after a while.

When I saw the new Crispy rainbow cake I just had to get it, but all the stores were sold out.
It just happens, there was a new branch at Hang Hau station so I was able to get it because it was early in the morning.
I managed to get a form to apply for the VIP card because I had spent over $30 which I am yet to hand in.
Anyway, the cake was visually pretty with colorful layers of cake.
The first layer was blueberry sponge cake, the second layer was egg white sponge cake, the third layer was crispy chocolate flakes, the fourth layer was strawberry followed by green tea and then a sponge cake base covered in creamy mousse.
Overall the taste was really nice because it was not too sweet, but the taste of the different layers did not stand out except for the green tea.
I liked the cake but did not like the crispy layer in the middle because it was just weird like eating egg shells but it seems like a Hong Kong thing because local bakeries like to add crispy things to their cakes.

Decided to have a drink before lunch so went here for a milkshake.
There was a choice of strawberry or blueberry so I chose the strawberry.

When it came, there was lots of froth on top which was light and delicious.
The sweetness was just right with a strong strawberry taste blended with fresh milk.

Next time I plan to try the earl grey pudding and the black rain which is coffee with coke!
