There are not many places that do Pon De Rings.
Anyway, I got the Christmas edition from A-1 Bakery.
Unfortunately, it was a bit too oily otherwise it would have been perfect because the texture was chewy and the icing was just right.

Discovered this fishball joint when I was walking on the footbridge to Hung Hom.
Basically they sell Chiuchow style white fishballs plain or with curry sauce.
I tried the plain, plain with chili oil and fishballs with curry sauce.
The plain were the best because I don't like the sweet curry sauce.
Not my cup of tea but no complaints because there were no bones but there was MSG.
The fishballs had a springy texture with a sweet fishy taste.

Discovered on Facebook that they have a new vegetarian Spinach Quesadilla so I got it for dinner.
Although it is vegetarian, the FULL portion is enough for three people to share.
The quesadilla was delicious and loaded with spinach and cheese which went nicely with the guacamole, salsa and sour cream.

I do like desserts but most of the desserts in HK are too sweet but strangely the desserts in the UK are not that sweet and I can end up eating two sugar doughnuts in one go.
Anyway, I had the purple sweet potato pancakes which have mini purple sweet potatoes on it, topped with red beans and purple potato cream.

I nearly missed this on the menu because it was right on the corner.
I loved it because I didn’t really want icecream and cream is the best thing because it won’t make the pancake taste sweeter.
The thickness was really good while the pancake was fluffy and the carmelized sweet potatoes were sweet so it gave some sweetness to the pancakes.
There was a side of syrup but I didn't need it.

Stopped by because I was a bit hungry.
Tried the new noodles mixed in Sichuan sauce, the spiciness was just right for me but the noodles were too soft and the sauce was super salty otherwise it would have been amazing.

There are lots of freeze dried/dehydrated snacks around but tomato slices are rare so I decided to buy a pack from Anything But Salads.
It took me a good 5 minutes to choose a pack because you will find that some packs are riper than others and each pack is unique because some will have yellow or green opaque seeds.

The taste of these tomato slices were really interesting and nothing like sun dried tomatoes which are sweeter.
It had a really sharp and strong tomato taste because all the moisture has been taken out of it leaving an extremely concentrated tomato taste.
You can also get them from this new shop in Sheung Wan but this shop is friendlier.

Discovered Passion Italian because I was dining at one of the restaurants in that building.
The menu was good because it offered variety and the dishes were not localized.
My favourite picks would definitely be gnocchi, ravioli, tortellini and parpardelle, which they had.
Unfortunately they changed the menu so some of the items above have changed.
The parpardelle has been improved because the original was parpardelle and lamb but not many locals eat lamb so the one on the new menu is probably a better choice for locals because it was parpardelle and Iberico pork.
I wanted to order the beef consomme with tortellini but they no longer had it so I chose the vegetable and kale soup, which was also a good choice because it was a consomme with 15 different type of vegetables.
For mains, I went for the ravioli which was filled with garoupa, probably more delectable for the locals but the original one they had was also good because it was filled with prosciutto ham in a butter sage and asparagus sauce.

Anyway, here was what we had.

We started off with the bread basket with a good variety of decent bread.

The Caesar salad was crisp and delicious.

Next came my vegetable soup, which I really like because there was a decent amount of vegetables in it.
There was kale, beans, peas, cabbages, aubergines and lots of more.

Then I had my favourite ravioli, which was filled with garoupa that was really nice in seafood sauce but the sauce could have had a stronger taste because the fish didn’t have much taste.

For desserts we had this evil Hazelnut meringue.
It was amazing because it had thick mascarpone cream, which balanced the sweetness of the meringue and hazelnut sauce while the blackberries were ripe and delicious.
