Walked past and saw the new purple potato choux crème so decided to get it.
It was light filled with silky purple potato mash and cream decorated with purple potato cubes.

The sweetness was just right but I didn’t like the crumbs that were coated on the cream puff because it is just weird.

After eating in the area, the poster here caught my attention because it was showing these shaomais made of chicken instead of fish or pork.
There were two flavours so I decided to try both.
The flavours are chicken and mushroom or chicken and black pepper where the black pepper one is more expensive.

The chicken and mushroom had a light taste but it tasted a bit like pork except that it was not as smelly as pork.

Black pepper and chicken:
This was much nicer and it had firmer texture so it is probably why it costs me but the black pepper was not that strong.

For dessert had the clear jelly cubes with honey.
They didn't really have any taste so the honey was the main flavour to it.

There is probably a reason why things happen and if it fate that I can't eat something then I shouldn't attempt to eat it.
Previously tried to eat at Tsong long ting.
Tried to go to the Tsuen Wan branch a few years ago but when I got there the shop had permanently closed down.
A year later I tried to go to the Mei Foo branch and there was a god damn power cut that day which meant I couldn't eat it!

Anyway I forgot about this shop until I started checking restaurants in Hung Hom and discovered that it was closely located to some restaurants I had in mind.

The most disappointing item was the noodles with chicken and vegetables because the noodles were too soft and you could see short strands of noodles on top which are leftovers when they did the previous bowl of noodles.
The broth just tasted like savoury milk but very bland and the chicken was overnight quality with a foul taste.
I am not vegetarian but since most restaurants serve meat that is not fresh, I end up not eating meat or choosing the vegetarian version.

The other bowl of noodles was slightly better but it looked like there was a layer of frothy saliva or phelgm on it!

The only item that was fit to eat was the crispy spareribs which was coated in this delicious sweet and sour sauce.
However if this shop was in the UK, it would failed the basic hygiene because chipped crockery must not be used and this bowl was chipped on three places.

It was nice that Mcdonald's served all day breakfast on the 1st of January because some people like me will always skip breakfast because it is too early.
I tried the Chef's Special which is slightly different to their usual breakfast.
The Chef's special has toast, bacon, hash brown, baked beans, and scrambled egg.

The new items in the Chef's breakfast are toast and baked beans.
Although the bacon appears to be new, it is found in the bacon and cheese croissant served at McCafe and to me it is actually ham but their croissant is called Bacon and Cheese croissant according to their menu.

Here was my breakfast:
Everything tasted good especially the scrambled egg which was fluffy with some runny yolk.
The toast was interesting, it was toasted on one side only.
Portions were tiny compared to others seen on social media especially the baked bean!
For drinks I tried the new purple rice soymilk and to be honest I think it tastes like purple potato soymilk.
I wonder if anyone agrees with me here.

Walked past and saw these purple buns so decided to get them.
They microwaved them for me.

The bun was very wet on the top and bottom but the texture of the bun was very chewy.

The purple potato filling was quite dry but not too sweet so I liked it.
They had double chocolate cake which was confusing because there are two pictures on the box.

I believe it is meant to look like the cake on the left so perhaps they should have used two chocolate bars or two pieces of chocolate on the right to illustrate double chocolate instead of using another chocolate cake!

I was feeling peckish after dinner in TST so went to Marks and Sparks.
The Jaffa cake is basically a layer of Genoise sponge base, a layer of orange jelly coated in chocolate.
Discovered the Dark chocolate and Cherry Jaffa cakes so I had to get it because the cherry is a new invention.
The pack was a strange because it was twin packs which didn't really say on the packaging.
All of the packs on the shelf were twinpacks.
Anyway, I couldn't wait to eat the Jaffa cake and it was delicious.
It tastes a bit like a blackforest cake but the cherry jelly was not tart enough.


On the receipt, there is a 10% discount if you share your shopping experience at Marks and Sparks on tellmands which I did because I love shopping at Marks and Sparks but the incentive is rather useless because you have to spend $500-1000 to use that 10% discount.

My friends and I were in the area so we had dinner here after looking around.
There were two chicken dishes which made it hard to choose: chicken in wine or shredded chicken.
I chose the shredded chicken because the other choice had bones.
The chicken was really good because it was flavoured by the spring onions, sesame and black coriander seeds that were not too salty and it was not spiked with MSG.
We also had the mini wontons which are just smaller than a Chinese spoon.
As well as wontons, there was seaweed, lettuce and pickled vegetables in the soup.
