Saw lovely posts of the icecream puffs so decided to give this place a visit.
They offer a variety of choux puffs filled with gelato.
I got the red velvet.
The sweetness was just right and the gelato fits just right in the choux puff.
As well as choux puffs they have chougettes which are really delicious light puffs with crispy meringues bits stuck to it.
There is caramel sauce for it as well.

[Review 5221] Burmese food @ 緬甸椰汁鷄湯麵店

There used to be one place for Burmese food a few years ago in Cheung Sha Wan called 滋味堡 but it closed down so you have to go to Macau for it.

Now there is a joint in yaumatei.
Tried the Mohinga noodles (burmese fish noodles).
It had banana tree stems in it which were a bit too woody for my liking.
I was given prawn crackers but some Burmese places give you tofu puffs.
Compared to Cheung Sha Wan, the noodles were different, here you get thick rice noodles and the place I tried before had flat rice noodles.
The soup was bland and there were too many fine fish bones it it.

[Review 5220] Creative dimsums @ 黃金茶寮點心專門店 Golden Dim Sum

Recently started going to spk because my club is there so I decided to eat around the area.
It was really hard deciding what to eat because everything is local around there.
Anyway settled here because they had some dimsums I havent tried before.
I got the steamed fish head with rice but it was too salty.
If I knew they had a whole steamed fish I would have had that instead.
Also had steamed ribs because it had chan's village noodles (chan chuen faan) beneath it but obviously I didn't eat the fatty pork.
The noodles were like dense rice rolls but nicer because it absorbed the sauces.
Next time I will come back for the steamed fish and fancy dimsums.

[Review 5129] Rice in lobster broth @ 村爺爺龍蝦湯.泡飯.燉湯專家

G/F, 72 Portland Street, Yau Ma Tei

Discovered this restaurant because I was going to this Burmese joint opposite.
There are two branches, the one on Ghetto street is bigger.
They had so many interesting local dishes.
Went for the lobster broth rice with abalone and chicken.
The broth tasted more prawny than lobster and the pieces of chicken were springy and tender.
I got soup as well which was served on a stove that was not lighted.
Anyway, the fish and mustard vegetables were really good but the broth was way too salty to drink.

[Review 5128] Great for tourists @ 宏發燒臘飯店

G/F, 508 Lockhart Road, Causeway Bay
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/great-for-tourists-e2574340
For tourists visiting Hong Kong, I think this would be a great place to go because the menu has English and clear pictures.
While the English and pictures were good, the service was a bit pushy because they kept recommending this dish and were hurrying me to order.
Anyway, as they rushed me, I ordered the roast suckling pig and pork belly which I thought were ribs because in Chinese it was laam gwut.
The pork belly was a bit too lean for my liking while the pork belly was too fat compared to other places I have tried.
