Since the last visit, the menu has improved and there are more choices.
I had the holy crab linguine which was a simplistic pasta with no fuss.
It was basically linguine tossed with lots of crab which you can see and the sauce had a natrual crab taste with a hint of saffron.

It was good that they didn't use any strong creamy sauces or tomato based sauces which would over power the crab.
For some reason I have an addiction for veggie burgers so I had that as well and I liked this one is because it was topped with refried beans.
The veggie patty was made with cheese, rice and other veggies which were quite filling and you get two patties in a dusted bun.

For drinks we had the lemonade and lemon garden which were both freshly made.
The lemon garden was quite nice because it had fresh ginger but the ginger fibres were a bit too woody and got in the way as you drank it.

The lemonade was refreshing.

Back for the supper buffet again

Within two days I was back on the 30/4/2016 for the supper buffet because it was that good.
Most of the dishes were the same except for dessert and the cheeses.
That night, the blue cheese was cut into cubes and they had feta cheese which wasn't there on the 28/4/2016.
I was hoping to have apple crumble again but that night it was pear tart.

They had coconut pudding which wasn't there before so I tried it.

The abalone was really good so I had it with rice and put abalone gravy on it and it tasted fantastic.
The prawn dumplings were also amazing because the dumpling skin was translucent and held together nicely.

A few years ago in 2013, they had the Rice Fun Wrap [Chicken].

Now they have the FAN-Tastic burger which has a crispy chicken patty in the middle with scrambled egg.
I don't know why but the rice fun wrap was tastier.
The rice here was a bit too heavy and dry and I didn't like the scrambled egg because it was too sweet and there was sweetcorn in it.

Went to Yi-ming's Botanic Fantasy Fashion Show 2016 which was held at Zuma.
After the show, there was FOOD~!
I loved the sushi rolls especially the creamy avocado and salmon.
The cucumber and sesame one was good too.
They were so good that you can't stop eating them.

Went here for lunch because I love their pizzas.
Had the pizza al salsicca which is topped with delicious bits of crumbled meat and pepperoni.
The pizza base was soft and airy while the toppings were strong and flavourful but a bit salty.
The only thing I didn't like was the attitude because they make it an issue if you don't order much.

Previously I have tried the Jordan branch which is takeaway only but this branch is bigger and you can sit there located right on Whitty Street facing HKU's B1 exit.
It was a hot afternoon so I didn't feel like anything hot.
The Vietnamese baguette was the solution and I was craving for bread anyway.

I got the signature Vietnamese baguette and the lime soda.

The baguette was big but I managed to finish it all because it was insanely delicious.


For me, the baguette was good, it was crispy and yeasty and the pickles were sour as they should be.
Every bite had an explosion of flavours and the chilis they put in were hot but it didn't linger.

The only thing I didn't like were the sliced trotters because I just don't like fatty things.

To be honest, I think expats will love this because of the baguettes they use and they are going to launch a cheese and ham one later which I will come back for.

Finished with the lime soda which had a refreshing fizz with a strong lime taste that wasn't toosweet.

Had a quick farewell dinner here because relatives wanted some local food before flying back to UK.
We had noodles, fried beef flat rice noodles, wontons and prawn dumplings which were local classics.
The food was good as expected, springy prawn dumplings and wontons filled with fresh prawns.
The noodles were good according to my relatives because they just love this stuff.
Personally I liked the stir fried flat rice noodles because it had a lovely soy sauce taste with juicy slices of beef in it.
