When I first saw smoothie bowls on IG, they looked delicious so I went there to get one but this shop is well hidden. It would have been easier if I got the MTR and walked down from one of the exits.

On the menu, there are three smoothie bases and clearly the first and third were going to be my picks but I had to choose one.In the end I chose the chocolate base and for the toppings I picked strawberries, cocoa nibs, cinnamon and walnuts.
It was really good they had cocoa nibs because not many places have it and the last time I had it was at Akrame paired with chicken. The bitterness went really well with the sweetness of the chocolate smoothie base and it had a hard crunch to it.Before I got my bowl, I assume I had to drink it with a straw like normal smoothies but the base here is slightly thicker which has to be spooned.
$80 is a bit pricey but a good treat once in a while and the comment from my meat eating friend was that he would have it everyday if he was a vegan!

Ever since trying the cat themed tea set I was hooked and they keep launching new sets.

This time I had  Ghoulish Halloween Afternoon Tea Set.

To begin the experience, you are given a bamboo container containing flat bamboo sticks with lettering on it called Chinese fortune sticks.

You shake it until one falls out and they will interpret it for you.

At DK Cuppa, you there are four categories and each one represents a scent which corresponds to the magic spell which is set alight later on.

The experience was quite interesting because there was some Western elements in it as well as the table decorations such as skulls and pumpkins.

We were served drinks first which was blue butterfly pea tea with two syringes.

If you add the liquid, the drink will turn purple which sweetens the drink.

During Halloween Trick or Treat is a must with lots of sweets.
We thought they were sweets inside the pumpkin but they were savoury lobster balls and fish balls.
For starters, there was  shrimp pumpkin soup.

Then for the savouries, there were rosemary croissants, smoked salmon and beef and gravy pie.

You can literally dig in the pie and it is filled with juicy lean pieces of beef in it.

The other part of the set is the sweet part, the corresponding readings that you picked from the fortune sticks are placed on the creme brulee and set alight as if the spell was casted!
Other treats were  spooky macaroons, creepy spider icing cookies as well as pumpkin white truffle chocolate and chocolate muffin.

I really enjoyed it and it was a great chance to dress up in Halloween costumes.

Went here for food and I was not disappointed.
The tofu burger patty was a block of tofu skin which was quite nice and it was tasty because there was guacamole and other delicious sauces on it.
I didn't really like the sweet potato fries because it was fried and sweet but  you can change it to salad which I didn't know when I ordered.

Discovered that this branch had some exclusive stuff so dined here for it.
The English name of this restaurant is rather confusing because on the sign it says Christy Cafe and on their fB it is called Capital Cafe.

The avocado and banana milkshake was really good and not too sweet but the banana tasted more prominent than the avocado.
Scrambled eggs were really tasty and the toasts were good but I didn't like the texture because it is just the local bread you get in Hong Kong with a taro flavour.

[Review 5480] Vegan haven in Wanchai @ 素食主意 Sooo Vegi

I am so glad they have relocated one of the branches to Wanchai because this location is much more convenient and the restaurant layout is more friendly.
Wanchai is now a haven for vegetarian food because next to this shop is another vegetarian place and then you have ovocafe and common green nearby.

Anyway, as we were having lunch, we had quite a few dishes to share.

They have a good variety of drinks but I like the soup.

The tofu skin rolls in creamy sweetcorn sauce is a nice light option.

We also got the stir fried zucchini with black fungas and burdock for some hearty vegetables.

For carbs, we got the fried rice and Shanghainese noodles.

The fried rice was really tasty with walnuts and toona sinesis.

The stir fried vegetarian Shanghainese noodles taste better because they are less oily but I found it a bit salty.

Hong Kongers will love this classic fishballs and Chinese radish but I found the curry too spicy.

The pasta was surprisingly appetizing because the spiciness balanced the creamy pesto.

The last dish is for black pepper lovers because I am not too keen on black pepper.
