Last time came here in heavy rain, but this time the rain was heavier~

In fact it ended up as black rain. (black rain is a term that hk observatory uses for rain)
The buffet selection was better and there were more vegetarian options.
Drinks are also included in the buffet.

Tried some new stuff and it wasnt good.
The tomato sauce was thickened Chinese borscht soup.
The curry sauce which was my last hope was too spicy because the fish wasn't really edible, it was over done and and hard.
Sadly the soup was too salty.

I remember trying to list this in August but it got rejected by Openrice.
(Not that I give a shxt but I couldn't be arsed to type the damn info again when I have already entered all the details.)
Anyway, remembered this restaurant because I found a takeaway menu on my desk while clearing it.
Searched google and it was listed on openrice and yes I googled it because google takes me to the restaurant page on openrice quicker than on openrice itself!
It was impressive that this place has an English and Chinese menu and the staff spoke a bit of English too.
Tried the tomato noodles in sesame sauce because I like tomatoes.
The tomato taste wasn't that strong and luckily the sauce wasn't too sweet because I can't stand sweet sauces but it got sickly afterwards.
There is another strange noodle which comes with soft pork trotters in truffle sauce.

Yoshinoya is really affordable hence the endless queues but people who abuse the tables can be quite annoying.

Anyway, the difference between the tea sets and the normal one is that there is more tuna.

Everything was ok but I forgot to ask for it without the soy sauce because it is sweet and watery.

If I am in the area, I always come here for the fish shaomai and fried stuff.
This time I got the fish shaomai and rice rolls.
They were still good so towards the end I was feeling happy and my guard was down thinking how good the fish shaomai was because there were no bones.
Then suddenly there was this sharp pain in my gum which was due to a damn sharp fish bone!
Although the food is good, this is a lesson learned to take caution with any food at any time,

I am not a coffee connoisseur so I can't really judge their coffee but I went here with a friend who wanted to drink coffee.

Anyway, the drinks are quite pricey and there are not many non coffee options so I chose the matcha latte.

I liked the way they didn't put any sweeteners so you could taste it how it was and it tasted a little bit savoury to me, but then I am not really a matcha fan hence the ok rating.

To be honest, I haven't had much luck with restaurants in this group because every time I go the restaurant is full or they have changed the menu.
This time the restaurant had a table when we got there.

Here was what we had:

Duck Rillette and everything:
On the board was duck rillette, saucisson, Bayonne ham, pork pate, liver pate with quince and pickles.
A nice selection to start with, my favourite was the ham and pates.

Escargots on Bone Marrow, Herb Butter.
This was evil and delicious. Fatty bone marrow topped with escargots laced in herb butter.

Mussels in White Wine:
Evidently fresh mussels and it was cooked in strong white wine.

Soy Glazed Iberico Pork ‘Pluma’, Haricot Verts:
I liked the soy glazed because it gave it a lovely sweet Asian roasted flavour and it was paired with my favourite French beans.

Roasted Lamb Rack, Vegetables A La Provencale:
The lamb was surprising tender and supple so I loved it.
