I love Earl Grey so when I saw the Earl Grey crepe I decided to come here for it.

But before I had the desserts, I had to have some food first, so had the slow cooked salmon.
It looked pan-fried more than slow cooked but in the middle, the salmon was a pretty peach colour and the texture was like slow cooked salmon.
The mash beneath it was silky and there was some appetizing ratatouille which was comforting.

Now to the desserts which I was really looking forward to.
The crepe was actually quite good and you could taste the Earl Grey so I was not disappointed.
Inside it was filled with banana and cream
Also had the banana fritters so I had a bit too much of bananas that day!!

Finished with tea but because it was a metal pot, the handle gets quite hot so it is hard to pour out the tea.

Haven't had the Lahmacun for ages so decided to come here for it.
There is also one in Wanchai that does good Lahmacuns.
The ones here are not freshly made but luckily the dough tasted good after it was baked.
I was hoping for minced lamb but they only had the beef.
They also offer you cheese but when I asked for feta cheese, they said it was for the salad only.

Stopped by for this seafood Savory Napolean.
I wasn't sure how it was going to taste because Napoleans are always sweet.

The taste was quite nice because the seafood sauce was rich and it was loaded with lots of seafood.
There was a soft shell crab on the side as well and some bread to dip the sauce.
Although the crisp layers tasted sweet, it didn't annoy me that much because the buttery aroma wasn't overwhelming.

This is a great place for Omakase because firstly it tasted good and secondly you won't get distracted from the outside world so you can really put your senses into the dining experience.

The Omakase Menu is designed by Chef Yukio Kimijima.
Started with the Igura Rice which was simple deliciousness of salmon roe and rice.
Next was the Katsuo which was a bit like tuna.
The highlight of this abalone dish was the liver sauce which is rich and dreamy.
The Kobashila and ponzu sauce was my favourite because it was really refreshing, I loved the tart ponzu sauce.
The Makokare was ok but it would probably taste better without the shiso leaf.
The Aji had a nice gingery taste which balanced the oilyness of the fish.
The kinki was another favourite of mine because of the Himalayan salt and yuzu. I just loved the saltiness.
The Kuruma ebi was a huge springy prawn!!
The tairagi tasted like a huge scallop.
The Eel was my favourite because you get to taste the family secret recipe sauce of the Chef.
It was not too sweet and made the eel very palatable.
The hiramasa was a surprise, it actually tasted like BACON, so I loved it.
Next was the akami soaked in soy sauce. I love the lean part because the taste and texture is good.
Then there was the Katsuo and Oh-Toro which Hongkongers love because of the melt in your mouth oily texture.

Finished with the clam soup which doesn't leave you gasping for water.
Before the dessert, there was this UNI roll which makes you really guilty because there was so much uni in it.
Dessert ended with this heavenly Daifuku.
The best Daifuku I have ever had because there was a a fresh, sweet juicy strawberry in the middle with a touch of coconut and on the side there were Matcha Valrhona Chocolates.

I love Sichuan food so tried this place because it was new.They serve hotpots as well as a la carte dishes.
You drink tea from this special cup.

Apart from tea, the mocktails were amazing especially the Lychee and cucumber but I think the lychee is more refreshing and the sweetness goes well with the spicy food.


Started with this sparerib pumpkin.
Inside the pumpkin, there were some really tasty and flavourful spareribs inside but the only problem was the brittle bones.

Next was the fish in chili oil which is not as spicy as it looks.
This was delish with rice.

The dandan noodles are a must order if you like noodles in this rich spicy broth and the noodles hang the broth well.

Went here because of the Chinese name which phonetically sounds like something rude but not rude and means fried and marinated stuff.This joint specializes in 炸 fried food and marinated items 滷味 which is exactly what the name of this shop is called.
The interior is also decorated to look like old Hong Kong with Vinyls of Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui.

Having checked out the menu, they have the best of the both worlds with Chinese food and Fish and Chips!!
Obviously I went there for fish and chips and went with a friend so that she could eat the Chinese stuff.
For the Chinese stuff, she had the marinated skewers of intestines, gizzards and duck tongue.
I only tried the duck tongue which was surprisingly good and soft.

For mains, had the rice with dongpo pork.
It was served in this vintage Chinese bowl in paper form.


Now to the star of the show, the fish and chips!!
I was actually quite shocked they were that good and only $26 per portion so I had two.
Two boxes of decent fish and chips and they only cost $52 which is comparatively cheaper than decent chippies although the batter is different.
The best thing was that it was fried just right with a golden colour and not the Chinese style BROWN colour.
The fish was fantastic, they chose a good fish for it. It was the Turbot fish and the fish pieces were big, soft and flaky in a light crumb coating.




I found a really good sauce too, not intended for the fish and chips but it tasted like HP's brown sauce but not so trt in taste.

Finished with the lychee soda which was extremely refreshing and thirst quenching.

I was attracted here by the drinks and colourful kindergarten style tables which is rather an unusual setting for Chinese style food but anyway it gets your attention.
Tried the blackberry soymilk which seems to be black gojiberries rather than blackberries because blackberries and black gojiberries are different berries.
The sweetness was just right so I finished the drink.
It was hard to get the berries out of the pouch but I managed.
Will be back to try other stuff.
