Custard mooncakes rarely fail to please and these were delicious.
It had a delicious custard flavour to it and the pastry was soft and buttery.
They tasted good cold or heated but personally I prefer them warmed up because the custard becomes fragrant and the texture is not so sugary.
As well as custard, they also have assorted flavours which are probably good as well.

Discovered this place when I was walking along Winglok Street. The banner caught my attention so I went in and had a look.
To my surprise, there were so many colourful salads to choose from and they had lots of fruit in them too.

It was really hard deciding because everything looked good and the drinks too because there were so many to choose from.
One of the drinks had tofu just like the strawberry tofu shake at YunYang which closed down.
Anyway, in the end I had the Waldorf salad, soba noodles and spinach salad with prawns.


It was such a tasty and simple salad with minimal dressings so it was healthy.
Finished with the avocuddle which was a blend of avocado, banana and matcha.
Again I was overjoyed with that because it wasn't too sweet and there were no sweeteners so I left the shop feeling full and content knowing that I had a healthy meal!

I had a good time on my first visit here so decided to go again.
Since my last visit, the menu has changed and there are more choices.
It is really comforting that there are lots of Western choices and even more comforting because they serve Strozzapreti and Fregola.
Anyway, the Fregola sarda with US Manila clams was amazing because the clams were fresh and the fregola soaked the sauce.
The Strozzapreti with crabmeat, bacon and uni turned out to be as good as expected because I love twisted pasta pieces and it was tasty because of the sauce.

Went for the Sous vide French Quail stuffed with abalone and chestnut because this is not often on the menu.
The quail was tender and tasted good with or without the marsala gravy.

Finished with the drinks which were all presented in a stylish way.
I had the vegetarian which is how it is suppose to taste, ie grassy.

Tried the 20th Anniversary afternoon tea set and it felt like having the classics of chachaanteng food summarised into a tea set.
There was the classic French toast stuffed with cheese and salty beef.
The spring rolls also stole the show because they were stuffed with instant noodles with spicy pork cubes.
Other tasty classics included shrimp toast, fried chicken drumstick and the classic chicken pie!!
For the sweets, there was red bean pudding, horlicks chocolate tart and ovaltine cupcake.
The mini cupcakes totally transport you to the feeling of being in a chachaanteng because the shape of the cake is like those thick rimmed cups.
Anyway, I loved the savouries, especially the fried chicken which was perfectly fried and juicy in the middle.

I love the name of this place because it is like a touch of East meets the West.
Started with the coconut chocolate latte and beetroot latte.
The beetroot latte was amazing because it was complex, you could taste beetroot juice, then coffee them the sweetness of the caramel syrup.

The dandan noodles were as good as expected because it had a layer of silky foam on top and the strands of noodles are flat and white just like the ones you find in Vietnamese pho.
The broth had a nice Sichuan flavour to it.

My friend's vegetarian pasta was rather heavy because it had eggplant and cheese but it was balanced by the tangy tomatoes.

The first time I tried dumpling pro was in WC, then they opened another branch in Kowloon and now in SSP.
I was surprised they had some comfortable seats at the back.
The dandan noodles seem to be new so I ordered them.
I found them a bit too sweet and thick because it tasted like thick peanut butter and sweet sesame paste at the bottom.
The beef was tender but also quite sweet.

The pork knuckles were consistently good, they were soft and spicy topped with delicious black beans and Sichuan peppercorns.

Decided to get a bento as a cheap fix for dinner.
The bento had sashimi with rice and soba noodles so I got the best of the both worlds.
The soba sauce is rather salty so you don't have to dip too much.
The sashimi rice was ok but not that fresh but then the bento was only $4x so I don't expect too much for the quality.
