Brazilian grill in Macau

I love coming here for Brazilian grill and it was my second time here.
There is so much choice from the salad and appetizer bar but I didn't eat much from there as they will continuously bring you freshly grilled meats.
The chicken wings and ribs were the best.
Don't eat too much as there is also juicy grilled pineapple dusted with cinnamon.
FW is a great place to go for Christmas and New Year.
There is a countdown here for New Year 2019 with local Macaunese singers!!

You can't miss this drinks joint as the logo and illustrations really make a statement.
I am not sure what the artist is trying to express but it looks like the character has a straw shoved up is nose!!!
Anyway, their cupcakes appealed to me so decided to go there and try it but they have been quite busy since it opened.
HKers just love checking new things out because they worry they miss out.The menu is in English and Chinese.
Got the softie floatie because it was sea salt softie which turned out baby blue and instaworthy.

The orange soda fared better because it was refreshing with a cake stabbed on the straw.
I liked it simply because I wanted to eat a cake.

As well as fancy drinks, I decided to get a simple tea to see how they fare.
Strangely they had oolong and iron buddha together so I tried that.
To be honest, I liked the plain tea which I had hot without sugar as plain tea simply beats everything.

Came here randomly as I saw dishes and dishes of food by the window.
It was affordable too, one dish only costs $2x.
Being greedy, I decided to get 3 dishes which was only $4x.
I didn't realize the plate and portions were going to be that big!!!!!
When I was handed the plate, it was so heavy I had to carry it with both hands as the joint is canteen style where you get the soup from the big vat.
Anyway, here was the plate that I had!!!
It was quite hearty and healthy as it was not too salty but the only thing that ruined it was the rice because it was too hard for my liking.
Will definitely come back but probably for one dish!

The snowmen definitely caught my eye at all branches of A1 because it looked quite demented!!!
Anyway, obviously it was two buns stuck together with filling in the middle.
Although, it doesn't look so cute, the taste was quite nice.
It was filled with thick and creamy custard, there were bits of chocolate in it.
Overall, it was soft and pleasant to eat as it was not too sweet!

Sharks fin dumplings

There are quite a few branches of this but I can't find the address of the one near HKU station.Anyway, they serve the usual dimsums but I was attracted to the mock shark fin dimsum because it looked appealing.

Same with Chinese wet markets and Chinese takeaways, Chinese people don't queue.
It is the battle of who shouts the loudest to order to get attention.

Managed to get served and ordered the steamed mock shark fin dumplings.
The lady tried to get to me order two portions which I would have but they didn't have another portion of the mock shark fin dumplings.

They definitely looked good and after taking a bite, the ingredients were fresh.
But hell came when I ate the rest because the bottom was rancid as it was the part that was in contact with the steamer which probably isn't so c.l.e.an.
You can imagine how many times the steamer has been used which accumulates that smell!
So anyway, I only ate the top of the shaomai which tasted good.

Lunch noodles at Quan Alley

Quan Alley is famous for hot pots and instaworthy hot pot ingredients that resemble Taiwanese sweet treats like Pineapple cakes and donuts etc.
I went there specifically for lunch because they serve noodles.
The great thing about the lunch sets is that they have my favourite duck blood and tofu in the hotpot broth.
There are three sections on the menu: stirred noodles, noodles in soup and stirred noodle with duck blood and tofu in hotpot soup.
During the day, there is less people and you get lovely view of the harbour depending on where you sit.
Started with drinks.
Had the healthy bittermelon juice which is great for detoxing while the preserved plum was appetizing.
For the noodles, had the Iberico pork with beauty soup and the Wagyu with Spicy soup.
As well as the noodles, the star of the show had to be the silky duck blood and the tofu which absorbs the signature broths.
Wagyu is a must because it was so soft and melts in your mouth.
As for the stirred noodles it depends if you prefer a sweet sesame touch or spicy Sichuan peppercorn tone because there are two different ones to choose from.
Overall, I am really glad I tried lunch because it had the soup and my favourite elements of hotpot.

I was surprised to see this old school bakery sell carrot walnut muffin cake and banana cake so got them.
I wasn't impressed with the lady following me about in the tiny store.
The receipt matched the old style bakery though printed in purple dotted ink.
Not your traditional Western style carrot cake because it contains raisins and walnut and you can see it was quite oily.
The banana cake wasn't nice because it was too sweet and there was no banana taste in it
