Before coming here, I was expecting this to be a bakery as the name LE BREAD LAB sounded like it was a specialist in bakery and a laboratory for bread.
When I got here, it turned out to be girly and pink which makes it instaworthy and popular with girls.
They specialize in these cakes which look like thick pancake tacos filled with cream topped with fruit.
There are so many flavours which you have to get in 4s or 16s: Strawberry, Chocolate, Coffee, Banana, Mango and the Hong Kong exclusive which just reminds of local cakes with fruit on it.
My favourite is the original because nothing beats strawberries and cream.
Just the treat for Wimbledon Tennis season!
The coffee was also good as it was not too sweet.
For me the star of the show turned out to be the strawberry latte which is basically strawberry milk.
The strawberries are not blended but chopped up so that strawberries are able to infuse in the milk giving it a natrual flavours.
If you like purple potato, there is a purple potato latte as well.
Sadly not for the lactose intolerant as most of the items are made with milk.
Perhaps they could come up with vegan options using almond/soya milk in drinks.

I have always wanted to try this soup joint but frankly the location is in the middle of no where and the fact that it has been here for quite a while means it should be quite good.
As a soup lover, I got the Overlord flower with pork ribs Chinese soup [quoted from the menu].
It was quite tasty and piping hot loaded with pork bones and those herbs.
The noodles were too oily though and found something in it so exchanged it for another dish.
It wasn't bad but just oily so despite having a healthy soup, the food isnt that healthy.
The vegetables were killed by the garlic which was too strong.

Gourmet Hams at Reserva Ibérica

I have been meaning to try Reserva Ibérica for a long time.
They have a small joint in Poho which is a bit of a trek, then there is Wanchai but unfortunately there is too much construction work nearby so I didn't quite make it.

Recently discovered this joint after dining at Happy Pancakes nearby and a glowing review from falsesilver.

As it was near Xmas, they had Christmas lunch on the menu but I decided to go for the hams.
It wasn't as quiet as I hoped as there was a noisy bunch there but the food was good.
Started with the platter which had all the Deluxe Iberico Jamon Platter with Pa Amb Tomaquet.

You simply just had to eat them from left to right because the Serrano Ham is soft with a lovely saltiness and moving to the right you get strong flavours of the Iberico Ham which are all acorn fed.
Last but not least is the Spicy Chorizo which is smoky with a little spiciness to finish.
On the side was Pa Amb Tomaquet (tomato toast) which was scrumptious because the slices were crisp with a soft springy centre.
Finished with the ox cheek ragu Fettucine which was made with fresh pasta covered in braised ox cheek meat .

For drinks, tried the melon coconut juice smoothie which was an interesting combination.

Now I am tempted to come back for breakfast as they have croissants with their finest hams so that should be delish as well.

I have always wanted to try the veg dimsums here but I get here late when everything is sold out.
Managed to pass by when lots of the dimsums were still here and I was intending to get one of each.
As I was going to 5 different dimsums, I ordered two first in case it was too fast for her but she just asked me for the money right away when I hadn't finished ordering.
Everything was stuffed in the bag and a box costs $2 which I wouldn't mind paying if I was offered the box option.
To be honest, they all tasted really similar.
Practically everything had radish and same ingredients except the mock charsiu buns and charsiu steamed bun.
The steamed charsiu bun was too dry for my liking.

Was in the area so got the white bittermelon juice.
It was a mix of white bittermelon and pear because they always mix items together to save cost and the excuse is the fruit/veg itself isn't juicy enough.
The taste was sweet and bitter.
The pear made it very syrupy and gave it a viscous gritty texture.
Will try something else next time as they are popping up all over the place.

I have been meaning to try their festive holiday shakes which come in three flavours: cookie, chocolate and peppermint and hazelnut.It was difficult deciding between the two but chose the peppermint in the end.
Sadly, I should have chosen the hazelnut as the chocolate peppermint was a bit boring in the sense that chocolate was too prominent and the peppermint was light.
Anyway, I will return because they have other enticing flavours such as caramel!

The best thing is that they have a C-Line if you just want drinks so you can jump the queue here!

I wasn't sure what to expect here but I had a fabulous evening with great food!
The shocking thing was that xmas dinner was only $398 per person and you get 4 appetizers, 2 mains, a drink and unlimited dessert from the dessert bar.

You may have missed Xmas but this set is still available for the coming NYE~!

To be honest the appetizers are rather filling so by the time you get to the main course, you would be quite full.
There are two good mains which make it difficult to decide, in the end I got the surf and turf, otherwise I would have chose the red prawns!

As you can see it was a decent piece of tenderloin and the lobster was succulent as well.
The next mains was pasta but I was seriously full after that.


Lastly, there are desserts from the dessert bar!
