I rarely eat KFC in Hong Kong unless it is something new or exciting because the chicken coating is definitely not the original recipe and the way it is cooked is different.
You will find that KFC chicken in Hong Kong is crunchy and the coating is thick compared to countries like UK etc.
HONG KONG KFC STRANGELY DOES NOT SERVE FRIES OR CHICKEN GRAVY.
THE MUSHROOM RICE, MASHED POTATO AND CHICKEN A LA KING CONTAINS  BLACK PEPPER whereas the English version does not.
Luckily I came across some photos of the chicken at this particular branch and it was the fried chicken that I was looking, the comments were not good but then it was coming from a local.
Prices were certainly different but paying HKD45 for two EDIBLE pieces of chicken was damn worth it.
FRIES WERE SERVED AT THIS BRANCH!!!!
Perhaps being located at AsiaWorldExpo with lots of expats it is was not wise to localize the fried chicken!!!
I was definitely satisfied with the chicken especially the coating which was thinner and tasted the same as UK.
The coating was soft and crispy and the chicken was moist in the middle despite that it was sitting in the heated cabinet for while.
The best thing is that there is no queue here

Save room for dessert if you are eating at Ichigen Ramen.They are serving the famous cream buns from Hattendo Cafe during the whole month of March for White Valentines Day.
Had one after ramen and I loved it, it was a soft pillowy bun filled with fluffy white cream which tasted like a lighter version of buttercream.

It comes wrapped up like a burger.

Went here a while ago before the food court went under renovation.
Just had the plain curry which contains some minced meat and diced carrots.
I didn't like it because the curry was just sweet with an artificial aftertaste.
It appears that Gin Curry has now become extinct on the TKO side as the branches at popcorn and East Point City have gone.

I love burgers and there are so many burgers around.

Bitters and Sweets offer five delish burgers which can be paired with cocktails, evidently successful because they have been here way before SS and FG landed.
Tater Tots are on the menu!!!
The buns which are an essential element to a good burger were fantastic.
They were soft dusted buns that sandwiched the patties well.

To start was [The Porker] which had two double slices of luncheon ham topped with an egg, a classic in any Hong Kong style breakfast.
This was paired with Yin Yeung cocktail made with Tie guan yin infused Ron Zacapa rum with coffee syrup mixed with condensed milk!!
The presentation was good as well with the Chinese tea cup.
Next was the BAS double which was my favourite as they use American cheese.

Sloppy Chick was paired with Hey Chica.
It was chicken paired with my favourite creamy guacamole, a great option for non beef eaters.Last but not least was the Patty Melt which was evilicious with two double patties merged with triple cheese together as it is cooked.
The buns are inside out just like grilled cheese but this is more satisfying with all that melted cheese and the way it held together on every bite.
To pair with this was As cool as Cucumber which cuts the heaviness.
I appreciate the way the patties are thinner so that you get all round crispiness on all surfaces of the patty.

Overall I really enjoyed my time at BAS as this is the place for burger fixes in a chic and classy environment.
I like the personal touch from the dishes which represents the owners childhood memories and The Porker which gives a local twist to the scene.

Time Park is a brilliant new hip place to hang out in TST, located in the Basement of Minden Avenue.
I felt like I was in London because of the decor and vibes.
Started with drinks and the Snow Elf visually looked like a trifle so I was really chuffed.
It was made with pineapple and passionfruit.

The other drink was Taishan Mountain which was more refreshing with crushed ice and grapefruit.


As well as drinks, Time Park has nailed it with instadelicious dishes.
I liked the way they have used sea urchin shells as part of the presentation especially the abalone which is inside the uni shell on a nest of hay.

The abalone was slow cooked topped with glistening salmon roe pearls and a melon molecular gastronomy sphere.
It was simply divine popping the melon ball and mixing it together.

The other instaworthy dish was the Arancini balls which were served in sea urchin shells.
On the side were dried barley grass which also bought me back to fields in UK.
These Arancini  balls were stuffed with rice and I liked the way fermented beancurd was used making it taste cheesy without the heaviness.

My next favourite was the tartare, it was cubes of tuna tossed in this tantalizing shoyu sauce mixed with my favourite salmon roe topped with air dried beef.
On top of that was my favourite garden cress which made me thing of egg cress sandwiches.

Last but not least was the panfried seabass which was tender with a lovely crispy skin again topped with more garden cress so I was really happy.


Overall, I enjoyed my time there escaping from the city.
Food was brilliant which makes the whole experience wonderful.

Recently went on a food trip to FOODIN located at Lam Tin.
Wandered into the busy market and saw these delicious looking eggs which were in a nice box that made them captivating.

They were still glistening when I took the lid off so it was good sign and the wine was still on the surface of the egg.
I was impressed when I took the first bite as the egg white was tender and delicate while the egg yolk was not hard boiled.
On top of that there was a strong wine taste that was fragrant without the bitterness.
Definitely delicious but location wise it benefits people living in the area.
They do have a branch in Mong Kok but I don't think they sell these eggs.

Went here a while ago when they newly opened but the hotdog I had was a bit overloaded so went back recently to try the plain dog which was just the sausage, onions and tomatoes and the sauce is added by yourself.
To be honest, it was really good as I like it simple with ketchup and mustard and inexpensive in SK town.
Grilled dogs are the usual practice but personally I like boiled dogs as the skin isn't so tough to bite on.
It would be great if they served tea as well as the drinks options are a bit limited.
