Bottled juices

Bless has been around for ages.
Unfortunately this branch is on the corner so when people walk past, Checkcheckcin is more prominent.
There will be more competition with another Taiwanese beverage opening soon.
Anyway, it was hot that day so got the Skin angel juice which was a refreshing blend of Asian pear, pineapple and lime.
The pineapple and Asian pear made it quite sweet and viscous.
Overall quite thirst quenching and a good option when there isn't a juicery nearby.

Previously this spot used to be some bakery for few years but now it is a Chinese snack shop.
It is brightly decorated in neon colours with a video game theme.
Cute paper straws:
Anyway, as I was nearby I went in for some fish shaomai.
Normally they are served in paper cups but here they serve them in paper bags which can be too hot to handle.
Decided to try them plain without sauces and basically it is the usual flour stuff so asked for their satay sauce and spicy sauce.
The spicy one was mega spicy but the satay one was nicer than expected because I could taste some hoisin sauce in it.

[Review 7525] Drinks and bakery @ 微酵烘焙 Share le Pain

I have been a fan of share le pan since they started their first bakery branch in CWB.My favourite bun is the one filled with Taiwanese pearls but there is so much more to choose now as well as drinks.
I would have wanted to try the messy buns but they were simply too big!!!
Ended up getting my favourite tea bread filled with custard and pearls. This was bursting with tea custard and firm chewy pearls.
Heavenly Creamy:
I didn't find this creamy but it was thick cream cheese in the middle so it probably tastes better if you reheat it.
Mochi Mushroom:
Most mushrooms buns are savoury but this one was sweet which is why I tried it and I love chewy mochi in the middle.
I hope they will come up with other flavours other than sesame.
Potato bread:
Moving on the the savoury, this was filled with sweetcorn and ham which was quite basic.
Taiwan Russian Bread:
I tried this as the name was interesting, the taste was similar to a toasted brioche sliced open.
For drinks had the chocolate with cheese cap and oolong with pearls.
Both were made to my liking as I had them sugar free.
Oolong with pearls:

Hong Kong is expensive for everything, so if you want a good steak, you probably have to fork out shitloads to get a good one and it is not even guaranteed.
A few years ago, there was a steak trend with Steak Frites, obviously French with L'Entrecote de Paris, Le Relais de l'Entrecôte and La Vache.
Only La Vache remains in business now.
Clearly these restaurants were too Western and pricey for the locals hence the rise of Japanese steak houses likes Triple Steak and many more.
Top Blade Steak Lab is a casual Western steak house.
The menu has the Chinese required suspects like steaks, pork chop, truffle fries and lemonade etc and of course the Menu has Chinese so they can feel comfy.
Diagram for the cuts of beef:
Strangely, the beef and cut preferences are different in Hong Kong, the locals prefer sirloin, Japanese beef whereas Tenderloin and American beef are my favourites.
The funny thing is that the price is cheaper for Tenderloin in Hong Kong which is definitely a delight for me.
On the menu, clearly the Chefs Choice Flat Iron was my choice but also chose the USDA Prime 390 days grain fed flat iron to compare.
All steaks come with fries.
Started with the fries which had a fragrant truffle aroma that wasn't too overwhelming.
Chefs Choice Flat Iron:
Every bit of this steak was so damn good because it was soft and there were no tendons.
The best thing was that the steak had so much Myoglobin which is something that I am thirsty for!!
USDA Prime 390 days grain fed flat iron:
Strangely this was more expensive but I preferred the Chef's Flat Iron.
The texture of this was much firmer with a stronger meat taste so it really depends which texture you are looking for.
Dirty Lemonade:
I loved this lemonade as it was refreshingly made with caramelized lemon slices and puree which wasn't too sweet with a lovely fizz.
Will definitely be back for steak and hopefully the quality is the same at CWB.
I hope to try the plain Flat Iron next time which doesn't have any sauces to see how the most basic steak fares as their Chef's sauce had raisins and mint sauce which is a bit strange with beef.

Artistic coffee joint

Discovered this coffee joint because of the quirky name.At first I didn't know the English was the phonics for the Chinese name.
If the English name wasn't there, I wouldn't know how to pronounce the Chinese name and with my wild imagination I would have thought that it was a swearing sloga humgaling.
But anyway, in Chinese it read humbalaang which means EVERYTHING!
Went in and I loved the decor, there were paintings on the walls, and paints on the shelves above the window.
The yellow mini sofa was a REAL CAR before it was converted into a sofa if you refer to their insta.
There are so many drinks on offer but as a fan of avocado I had the avocado which was such a nice drink.
It was creamy and thick with a good amount of yoghurt that wasn't too sweet.
I liked the way the yoghurt they used because it wasn't the yakult type or the powdered type.
Will be back soon as they have some lovely rice burgers.
According to their FB this joint is opened by four coffee and art lovers so stay tuned as there will be some art jamming and art classes going on there.

As I said, good food is partly luck.
It applies to Michelin 2 Star Tin Lung Hin as well.
Salmon roe, my favourite thing was deflated and deformed compared to the other plate.
Sadly, the one out of the two pieces of wagyu beef I got had a tendon in it.
Obviously it was my luck because the person next to me didn't eat her beef and I ate it.
The 2 pieces from that plate were perfectly delicious without tendons.
Either I was unlucky or the food is inconsistent.

King of Sheng Jian is a well establish restaurant for Shanghai pan fried dumplings by Oscar Siu a former cantopop singer.
I have previously tried the Causeway Bay and Shamshuipo branches.
The latest debut Ging Sun Ho King of Bun in Mong Kok offers more with a young and modern vibe to it.
There is a digital menu at the front with English and Chinese.
Obviously I was captivated by the Roast Goose Xiao Long Baos which are made with roast goose and pork topped with a piece of crispy goose skin.
It also comes with plum sauce which I did not use as the Roast goose XLB tasted great on its own.
You could taste the spices from the roast goose.
There were some new dishes that will satisfy your craving for spices such as the Chicken feet and pig ears.
For the mains, I liked the omnipork dandan noodles which were just as satisfying as the pork version because of the strong beany sauce contrasted by the sweet peanut broth.
If you're missing your balls, they've certainly got balls here!!!
But anyway Shanghainese food wouldn't be complete without trying the pork belly with vegetable rice and their signature chicken steak and Pan fried buns!
Will definitely be coming back.
