As well themed items, they have popular and signature items like Hainan Chicken, oysters, lobsters etc.

My favourites were the ricerolls which were presented with three options: lobster gravy, minced meat and soy sauce.
The Taiwanese guobaos were filling as they were filled with Wagyu beef.
Overall, there is something for everyone!

I don't really eat much Chinese food but omnipork is making me eat more Chinese food lately.
This time it was GOOD Bbq because they have launched the omnipork charsiu which will be officially launched on the the 30th August.
I love the taste of charsiu so went and had it.
The price tag is affordable unlike other vegetarian dishes.
On first bite, it really did taste like charsiu because it was smokey and the spices that they use for charsiu was there.
The taste reminded me of juyukgone (pork jerky) which is amazing,
Definitely worth trying so I might try it again as they are constantly improving the recipe.

Gyu-Kaku is so popular in Hong Kong that there are so many branches.
I was captivated by the rice topped with spring onion and seaweed which was why I went.
As this place specializes in grill, it would be strange if I didn't order any meat so I got the miso pork.
The impressive thing is that they have beyond burger steaks and plant based fish so next time I am going to try it.
Basically I am happy with carbs, and it was simply delicious having plain rice with seaweed and spring onions.
When you burst the yolk, it is even better.
The pork was also good because it looked like fresh uncured bacon.
There are so many sauces to choose from but I chose miso so that it would taste salty like bacon.
Overall, quite good so next time I will try the vegetarian items to grill.

There are quite a few branches of Tom N Toms Coffee around Hong Kong.
I thought it was American but it is actually Korean.
They had some captivating sweet treats so I tried them.
Muffins are everywhere but the ones here had runny fillings.
Tried the triple chocolate muffin and the apple and cinnamon muffin which were both oozing with filling from the middle and piping hot.
The apple and cinnamon muffin was good because the cinnamon was strong. there were bits of apple puree in the middle as well so these muffins are worth trying.

A while ago I saw cute pictures of a Matcha Latte with a cute chocolate doggy so had to try it.
0 讚好
The product shot was the just like what I saw earlier posted by another person on SM so this had to be the drink.
There is a hot and cold, the hot comes with a chocolate dog while the cold comes with a marshmallow one as shown.
0 讚好
However, when it came, the dog was totally different.
0 讚好
They said it should be the cold one.
Anyway, I believe the chocolate dog is too expensive hence they are cutting the budget by using marshmallow instead.
ANYHOW, THEY SHOULD CHANGE THE PRODUCT PICTURE AS WELL.
THE TASTE WASN'T REALLY WORTH RANTING ABOUT AS IT WAS JUST THE USUAL MATCHA LATTE MADE FROM MATCHA POWDER WHICH IS ALREADY SWEETENED BY DEFAULT JUST LIKE STARBUCKS.
A waste of money!

Went past this tiny joint which was selling these cakes in gold boxes.
I thought it was Japanese but they were actually Taiwanese.
There is a schedule on the window so people can see when the cakes come out from the oven.
There are different flavours as well: pandan, chocolate and cheese from memory.
All I wanted was the pandan and they cost HKD60-75.
The pandan was quite nice and the texture was fluffy.
Quite nice as they were not too sweet.
I ended up eating more than I intended because it was quite addictive.

Tasty Taiwanese Wraps

Discovered this on the way to Prince Edward.
At first, I thought this joint served Taiwanese Roti which is oily and flakey but on a closer look, they looked like round pieces of fried naan bread with filling.
The frying oil looked clean so I was confident in giving it a try.
To be honest, I don't know much about Taiwanese food so I'll refer them as Taiwanese wraps for the time being as they look like wraps.
You can get them a la carte or with tea.
As a tea lover, I got the set.
For each wrap, there are different fillings and the signature basic one has just egg.
On the menu, they are all shown open so you can see the the fillings clearly but when they give it to you, it is folded over.
There were so many to choose from but clearly luncheon meat was my first choice as well as Taiwanese basil because it is very aromatic.
Sausages were not my choices as I only like English pork sausages!
They also have salted egg with minced pork which is tempting.
Basically they fry the wrap, put sauces on and stuff it with the ingredients of your choice.
At first I was put off when I saw those sauces because Hongkonized Taiwanese food is always too sweet but luckily it turned out normal.
It was a bit salty but damn delicious as the wrap was chewy in the middle and slightly crispy.
The ham and egg wrap was to my liking as it was like eating a thin crispy panini.
It also reminded me of the sandwiches at Taoyuen village which are non fried but flakey and crispy!
Taiwanese basil egg wrap:
Definitely a nice surprise with a runny yolk.
The bottle of tea has a stopper in the middle to prevent the teabag from gushing tea out but sadly I couldn't get the tea bag out afterwards as I wanted to see if I could get a second round out of it.
Will be back for the other wraps and I love their teas which are all cold brewed with tea bags.
Overall delicious but quite messy to eat.
