As you know, I love trying Singmalay eateries because I don't think I will ever make it to Singapore or Malaysia because I hate hot weather.
Unfortunately, it is summer at the moment, so made it in the humid heat to Kwun Tong pier where this place is located.
I nearly went to the wrong eatery, because the money hungry stalls on the ground floor were ushering people to tables as soon as anyone arrived.
Got there and the eatery was quite interesting because they had printed bills despite being in a shabby market location and there was English on the menu.
Each table has a large playing card stuck to the wall so the restaurant knows which table you're at.
Had the noodles with chicken feet and pork trotters.
The chicken feet were not soft enough and dehydrated while the pork trotter was ok.
I didn't like the noodles because of the sweet soy sauce and they had a strong alkaline taste.
Had the white pepper soup with beancurd which was very fiery but the white pepper was very aromatic.
(I was lucky I didn't order the noodles in white pepper broth)
The star was the chicken offal!
There were both female and male chicken offal in there because there was a small testee and an undeveloped chicken egg yolk.
Most probably the most complete set of offal that is served.

[Review 5425] All wires wired correctly @ WIRED green

WIRED green
尖沙咀河內道18號K11購物藝術館B2樓B233號舖
Shop B233, B2/F, K11 Art Mall, 18 Hanoi Road,, Tsim Sha Tsui
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/all-wires-wired-correctly-e2625955
After googling Wired Green, found out that they are part of Wired Cafe, however Wired Green serves Japanese food.
It is located at K11, where misocool used to be.

The food was good, foodogenic but pricey.
Here was what we had:
Started with the assorted obanzai which had a good mix of Kyoto style side dishes.
My favourites were the kelp, potato salad and the slimey yam.
Next were the sweetcorn rolls.
The sweetcorn on top was really sweet and the fillings inside were quite rich because it had cream cheese, avocado and cucumber.
For drinks, we had the matcha shake which was lovely and creamy with a bitter matcha taste.
Also had the red tea float which was red tea with a scoop of icecream on top.
The lychee soda was another good option.
Then we had soupless noodles which was ramen topped with an onsen egg, tempura crumbs, pork, crispy burdock and spring onions.
I don't know why but it was too heavy for my liking.
Next was the grilled beef tongue. I had no expectations but this was my favourite.
It had a crispy surface but it was silky soft in the middle like beef belly and beef cheek.
Finished with the matcha softserve which was a perfect ending to dinner.
The melon soda looking quite green was another favourite drink of mine because the melon taste was quite pleasant.

[Review 5424] Apple crumble McFlurry @ 麥當勞 McDonald's

I love apple crumble so I had to try McDonald's new Apple Crumble McFlurry.
It was a bit disappointing because it was just softserve with apple paste and butter cookie crumbs.
The taste would have been more convincing if they used their delicious apple pie filling.

Malaysian nyonya dessert
I was on my way to McDs round the corner when I discovered this shop because it was strange that they were selling Malaysian nyonya puddings at a Chinese Dim Sum shop.
It looked like an old restaurant but it is a new restaurant accordnig to OR.
The lady at the front was super rude and unfriendly which is normal for the dark side of Kowloon.
The men in Shamshuipo are even worse, they keep walking into you and brushing past you.
Anyway, I got my pudding so I don't give a shat.
It was quite sweet, the brown layer was the sweetest and the green layer was softer but other than that it was just sweet and I couldn't taste any pandan or coconut.

[Review 5422] Weird service @ Neway Karaoke Box

Neway Karaoke Box

G/F - 3/F, Full Win Commercial Centre, 573 Nathan Road, Mong Kok
https://www.openrice.com/zh/hongkong/review/weird-service-e2625591
When you register at the reception, they only explain to you about a particular price plan, it is only when you ask, they will explain other options.
Normally I go to CEO in CWB where the service is much better.
Went here because I was in MK and it was too hot to go anywhere.
After 30 minutes, a girl comes in and says that I have to settle the bill because they have to settle the bill imediately if there is only one person.
This was fine by me but they could have made the process more efficient by taking payment when I was at reception.
The thing that really pissed me off was the girl deliberately left the door open with a door stopper after she took my credit card out to process.
Never have I experienced this weird shit in other branches and I don't understand why she left the door open.
Every room has a number anyway, so it is a bit stupid to leave the door open to remember which room to bring the bill back.

Went back for more cakes and there were some new flavours.
Tried the new green tea flavour.

I forgot to take a picture of the green tea centre but the cake was really good because the green tea flavour was natrual and the whole thing was not too sweet.
I also got the chocolate banana.
There was a nice runny banana creme filling in the middle.

This spot used to be the Limehouse but not anymore!!
Now it has changed to Timón Seafood Tapas Bar & Restaurant.
Went here for tapas one night and here was what we had:
Started with crispy baguette slices of Avocado crabmeat, White anchovies and piquillo pepper.
The avocado crabmeat was interesting because it had bits of apple in it.
The anchovy one was my favourite because it had a nice vinegary taste.

The Bellota Masters ham (40 months) are a must eat because they are really tasty.

Cod fish croquettes with artichoke mayo dip:

The fish croquettes on their own were quite creamy so I didn't really use the dip.
++++++++++
Crispy pork with orange and honey sauce:
The pork was really silky and tender that it was like eating chicken thigh meat complimented by a sweet orange and honey sauce.
+++++++++
Gazpacho with smoked sardine:
A refreshing cold soup with a strong red pepper taste with a slight bitterness.
++++++++++
Padron peppers:
This is a classic dish to order when having tapas and they taste like mini green peppers.
++++++++++
Black ink creamy rice:
I love rice and this was delicious because there was so much black ink sauce which made every spoon delicious and there were generous pieces of squid in it.
