We started dinner with some delectable dona lona ham.

+++++++
roast eel glazed with honey and black pepper:
Not a fan of eel but the eel was good because it was light and crispy with a sweet glaze and a kick of black pepper.
+++++++
wasabi and whelks:
Next was the whelks in an appetizing wasabi sauce.
+++++++
crispy taro:
The finely shredded taro was delicately crispy and sweet.
+++++++
smoked chicken:
0 讚好
Fragrant pieces of chicken infused with a tea fragrance but the star of the show was the pieces of silky liver.
+++++++
King prawn in bang sauce:
This was a huge prawn in thick sauce which tasted like tom yum kung.
After eating the prawn, you can dip the fried mantou into the sauce.
+++++++
lobster soup rice:
0 讚好
I was quite full so I didn't really eat the rice in lobster broth but I drank the broth which had a rich lobster taste and bits of vegetables in it.
+++++++
dessert:
For dessert they have a dessert platter with almond panna cotta with milk tea pudding, fruit strudel with rose petal icecream, pandan tiramisu with mixed berries.
My favourite was the tiramisu because the coffee in it is light with a strong pandan taste that is not too sweet.
We also had sesame seed balls which are quite nostalgic these days.

They are like puffed up balls of chewy mochi filled with air in the middle.

Went here for some curry after going to the nearby mall.
They had set dinners but I got the a la carte instead.

I was glad I came here because there was a good choice on my menu.
Started with poppadoms with the usual sauces.

For drinks, we had coconut water, salted lassi and nimbu pani.

Nimbu pani is basically like lime soda.
I would have ordered Jal Jeera as well but they said that this drink had an acquired taste but I am still curious anyway.
I had my usual aloo gobi and chicken tikka masala.
The chicken tikka masala was quite spicy but they gave you some yoghurt to tone it down and sooth the spiciness.
The Kashmiri rice was so good with the curry because the pieces of sweet fruit compliment the spiciness.

[Review 5369] Pastas with a Chinese twist @ Hami Harmony

I was curious about the 蝦米粉 Hami Pasta posted on the Hami Harmony FB so I decided to come here and try it.
蝦米粉 Hami Pasta is basically pasta made with 蝦米 (Chinese dried prawns pronounced har mae) the stuff you find in radish puddings.
Went there just for that but there was another interesting pasta on the menu with a Chinese twist which was the duck breast fettucine with salted egg yolk.
The hami buccatini was really nice, you could actually smell and taste those dried prawns and it came in a delicious light gravy with pieces of mushrooms and yellow courgettes.
The fettucine was also good and the lovely bits of sallted egg yolk gave it a salty kick without being too strong.
The slices of duck breast were also good because they were soft and moist.

As well as pastas, we also had the cauliflower cream soup which was flawless.

The buffalo wings were crispy but the sauce could have been thicker and more generous.
Finished off with canteloupe melon soda which had real melon in it.
The taste was natrual and refreshing.

Found out about this joint because my friends who work in TST often dine here.
Every time they dine here, they can collect stamps.
Started with the chicken wings because this place is called Wing's kitchen hence chicken wings should be their signiature dish.
0 讚好
They were extremely crispy coated in breadcrumbs and you get to choose two sauces.
I had mine with ranch and buffalo sauce.
The buffalo was nice and spicy while the ranch was creamy.
One of the lunch specials was the chicken and mushroom submarine which had a slice of chicken breast, cheese and mushrooms.
My friend had the US Prime Striploin (8oz) which was big and juicy.
0 讚好
For drinks we had orange juice and sunset.
The sunset was a mocktail of orange juice and grenadine.
Finished with the matcha brownie which didn't quite look like a brownie.
It was a sponge cake base filled with cream and topped with starchy sweet matcha on top.
0 讚好
Overall, I found it quite affordable dining here but difficult to ask and order because it was too noisy.

Casa Fina Seafood & Oyster Bar is one of the restaurants under CASA which are all located in Causeway Bay.
That night we started with an oyster & seafood platter of:
-Pacific Rock (U.S.)
-Namibia(South Africa)
-Isabella(France)
-Gillardeau(France)
-Scampi(NZ)
0 讚好
I have stopped eating oysters in Hong Kong because of the freshness and quality but I will eat oysters from the CASA group because they are good and I have tried them at other branches before without any unpleasant side-effects.
The oysters were fresh and taste different according to where they come from.
My favourite was the Gillardeau because it has the strongest taste.

It was visually stunning to see the whole scampi in its beautiful coral pink shells.
The scampi was sweet and springy that it did not require any seasoning.
++++++++
Next was the caesar salad tossed with crisp sweet lettuce.
0 讚好
++++++++
Then we had Garlic Bread with Sauteed Live Clams with Basil White Wine Sauce.
These sauteed fresh clams had a fragrant basil flavour which really brought out the sweetness of the clams.
The soup was so good that I drank it. There is garlic bread so that you can soak up the broth but personally I prefer it not buttered.
++++++++
The Deep Fried Alaskan Crab Cake was presented as a triangular croquette made with so much crab meat.
++++++++
Then we had the deep fried lamb ribs which had a lovely cumin seasoning.
++++++++
The Tiger Prawn & Alaskan Crab Meat Penne With Lobster Sauce tasted like penne in reduced lobster bisque sauce crammed with lots of crab meat and the prawns were nice and springy.
++++++++
French Duck Foie Gras Linguini With Wild Mushroom Cream Sauce:
This was my favourite, I loved the al-dente linguine tossed in the oil from the foie gras.
There were so many pieces of foie gras and earthy mushrooms.
++++++++
Hokkaido Scallop Risotto With Ink Sauce:
A flawless risotto especially the ink sauce.
++++++++
Last but not least was the 16oz US Prime Rib Eye Steak With Wild Mushroom Gravy (Daily Special).
A great steak for sharing.
