Went here for a pre new year gathering because MK is a convenient place for everyone with transportation connecting almost anywhere in HK.

I am so glad we had the chicken pot because I haven't had this in ages and I love it spicy.

There were quite a few highlights here that must be ordered if you like that stuff.

We started with the fishballs which were soft and springy~

As a keen veggie eater, I love the long bamboo piths which come with the bulb.
It soaks the delicious chicken pot sauce and has a crispy viscous texture.

The goose intestines are worth ordering here because they serve fresh ones which you can tell by the white fat deposits attached otherwise they would be yellow.

They also serve Pigs hard palate, a trending new item which is the top palate of a pigs mouth!!

For meat eaters, there was meatballs filled with cheese and beef.

We also had pork tendons which are a rarity as there are only two per pig.

Now to my favourite Chicken testes, you either hate or love them but girls rarely eat them because it is guy thing.
For me, I don't care because I like the taste and they taste like fish roe from a doversole fish.

The prawn paste balls were also bouncy.

The crispy beancurd rolls were gone in a flash, so were the boneless eels!


We had a fun gathering and it was affordable so I am looking forward to dining here again.

Kasa is another concept branch of the one in Wanchai where I always go because I love their food but it is in the outskirts of WC and it only opens during the weekday for lunch.

I was so glad when this place was opened because the location is much more convenient and you can choose what you like.

Unfortunately everything was sold out a few months ago thanks to tastings promoting their food so I decided to come when the craze had gone down.

Evidently I paid for this meal so it is not a tasting.

It was really hard choosing three dishes because I liked everything on offer so I got two sets.

To be honest, the set for $68 isn't filling for me,  4-5 is about right for me.
Anyway, the noodles were delicious except some strands were a bit dehydrated and it was so badly clumped together.

The drinks were disappointing because I was hoping to see some Chinese teas as it is a Chinese inspired joint.

The Hawthorn drink had a nice fizz but too syrupy sweet for my liking.

This was my first time eating at Apleichau Thanks to the MTR!!!
First impressions of this place, it reminded me of Shaukeiwan and Saiwanho with the hill behind it and the sea on the other side.
Anyway, there were two joints that were open that day so I tried this one.
It wasn't really what I was looking for but tried it anyway.
The pork chop bun came in a Chinese style submarine and not the crispy baguette with the usual dressing.
Not my cup of tea but it was fun sitting at a mahjong table for food!

Dined here because they have the {My Signature collection} where it is a simpler version of the #createyourburger with 27 possibly combinations of three different buns, three different fillings and three different patties of beef, grilled chicken or crispy chicken.

The bagel is not the one I would choose but then I am tempted to try it to see what a McDs bagel tastes like!

In the end I went for the crispy chicken with cheesy mushoom in a Brioche bun.

I was really lucky because my burger was loaded with mushrooms so it had a lovely earthy taste.

I can't stand Shatin because every damn inch you have people in your face.
It took me ages to decide whether or not to trek into Shatin to see the Starlight Garden.
Anyway, decided to go after Christmas when there would be less people so I went on a weekday evening but still there were lots of damn people.
I decided not to eat in the plaza because I would probably be too pissed on the way battling through zombies that I decided to go down to that village for food.
There was not much to choose, a pizza place and this place, so I chose this place because the pizza is probably Chinese style.
The logo is a bit too bold and stands out so loud that anyone would notice this joint on the blind corner.
I am sure there must be some fengshui behind it because there is something strange about it.
The menu was the usual Chinese stuff but I missed some good items as I didn't see it such as the fish and tomato and the aubergines with salty fish.
Started with soup which was surprisingly nice because it had bittermelon and I love that bitter taste.
The mains was ok, I had the pickled vegetable and beef.
If the pickled vegetables weren't so sour it would have been perfect.

I was invited to try this newly opened restaurant serving Chiuchow cuisine which I rarely eat so most of it was new to me especially  the dimsums.

Started with these pretty pink Glutinous rice dumplings filled with peanuts and shrimps.

The filling was quite starchy.

Deep fried baby mackerels with plum sauce:

I love fish and it was fried perfectly but you have to be careful of fine bones.

Stewed pigs three treasures with pickled vegetables:
I am not keen on offal but the pickled vegetables were good at getting rid of the offal smell.

Deep fried golden dumplings:
These were a bit oily for me.

Steamed rice rolls filled with dried shrimp and preserved meat:
Cute bite sized rolls which made them more appetizing.

Chive dumplings:

The dumpling skin was nice and elastic and the filling  had lots of chives in it.

Stir fried pomfret with preserved vegetables:
Again I like fish so I loved the big chunky pieces of fish.

Rice with salted pork and taro:
I was quite full by the end so I didn't try this.

I was really glad my dearest friend chose this place to celebrate her birthday because I have always wanted to try Jimmy's Kitchen.

There are two branches, one in TST and the other one in Central.

Started with pickled onions which I haven't had in ages because we used to have them at school in the salad section.

They tasted how it should, crunchy soaked with a vinegary taste.

Next we had the liver pate which was really silky.

The prawn cocktail was good and the salad beneath it was delicious and tastes like the prawn cocktail dressing in UK which is a mix of tomato sauce and salad cream.

The dry curry chicken was interesting, the chicken was coated in a soft coating which is different but tasted good.

The accompanying chutneys were tasty!

I wish trifle was on the menu to give it that British finishing but it wasn't.
